STRENGTHS
[/BLOCKQUOTE]
- Smart – Shannelle is quite smart and actually likes to learn. She has always liked to read and learn more about things. Although most of her knowledge comes out of books, she thinks quick to think on her feet as well.
- Easygoing – Shannelle likes to have fun and hang around with people. She also likes to joke around, which overall makes her an easygoing woman that people like to be with.
- Brave – Shannelle knows that she can’t always get what she wants by sitting on the sideline and she isn’t afraid to show that. She’s up to doing a lot of things for her friends and loved ones. She also isn’t afraid of danger or a challenge, even if she can get hurt in the process.
- Trustworthy – Shanelle won’t tell any secret being told to her and doesn’t easily break that promise unless someone can get hurt or anything like that, she still has her priorities.
- Leadership – Shannelle is a Female Alpha, next to Darryl Carter and Matt Reeds and needs to be out there, which along with her easygoing nature isn’t that hard for her. She’s been bringing werewolves into the pack, ever since the three of them joined together and has grown to be a real leader over time.
WEAKNESSES
[/BLOCKQUOTE]
- Being a female – Shannelle finds this to sometimes be an issue for her seeing that the other two pack leaders are males and she’s the only Female Alpha of the pack.
- Perfectionist – Shannelle is indeed a perfectionist; she often keeps going until everything is perfect and every bump in the road is taken care of. But she doesn’t know how her lies and actions – that she often tells to non-supernatural beings – are starting to show their cracks.
- Violence – Shannelle finds this easily consuming her, even though she’s tried to take care of it for over more than ten years. When she’s angered, she will do irrational things that can hurt those around her, most of the times when she doesn’t even mean to.
- Secrets – Shannelle finds that some secrets just eat at her, no matter what she does or tries to throw off the feeling, they just tear her down. This is the case with big secrets, secrets that may or may not involve mortal danger.
- Stubborn – Shannelle is stubborn as hell and rarely ever does what she’s told.
LIKES
[/BLOCKQUOTE]
- Reading – Shannelle loves to read and when she has time to spend, she actually loves to spend it with a good book and music plugged in her ears.
- Music – Shannelle’s taste in music varies widely and she always tries to be one step ahead of everyone else, by trying out some new bands.
- Tough guys – Shannelle doesn’t like a wuss and would never like on either. In her opinion, a boy has to be tough and good-looking. Not too tough though, because in her opinion that would make a boy unreachable.
- Matt – Shannelle thinks this should be obvious, they’ve been together for ten years now and he’s had her change him into a werewolf because he wanted to be with her.
- Working on the latest stories – Shannelle’s always a buzzing bee when it comes to working at LA Times and loves doing it, loves to keep busy.
DISLIKES
[/BLOCKQUOTE]
- Taking justice into your own hands – Shannelle hates it when people take justice into their own hands and judge too easily.
- Hospitals – Shannelle is absolutely afraid of doctors and needles, even the smell of chemicals and cleaning kits give her shivers. She has always been positively afraid of them ever since she was a little kid and still has no clue why.
- Annoying people – Shannelle’s not to tell people off when they annoy her. Especially when they interrupt he, while she’s talking or thinking of important things.
- Gossip – Shannelle hates it and even though she does like to get to know things of people, seeing she’s very curious, she will never base something off of gossip she’s heard. She likes facts, not fables.
- Drugs – Shannelle hates drugs, because she once had it poured in her drink and was hooked on it for months, until she finally got clean again and she is planning on keeping it that way.
HISTORY
Shannelle's parents have never been rich and she is used to growing up in the less rich parts of Los Angeles, along with her older brother Richard. Her parents aren't that long in the United States at all, to be entirely honest, her parents have only been in the US for twenty-five years, which is literally her brother's age. Before that, her father had lived a life which he is surely not proud of, but never told her, or her brother, as far as she knows anything about. When her mother became pregnant, he made the drastic change to want to live a better life and thus moved to the US, where the family remained until now. By moving here, however, most of their money was spend and when Shannelle was born, she wasn't much wanted, but was accepted into the family anyhow.[/BLOCKQUOTE]
Shannelle soon grew up to be a young and free spirit and never changed. She never wanted to. She liked to party and try out new things and just live her life as long and as free as possible. That is exactly the moment where she came into contact with drugs, at a party. She had just gotten her driver's license and she was sure to celebrate it at her favorite nightclub, with her best friends. What she didn't know, was when she went dancing, someone had poured a drug in her glass, without anyone noticing and when she became hooked, Shannelle was terrified of what her family and most of all, her parents would think of her, they were however, very much supportive and helped her get clean again, which was a slow process, but got her there in the end anyhow.
In school, Shannelle was always the quiet type who people would call a nerd and she liked it that way, on her own, not having to have anything to do with whatever people wanted, kind of got her the nickname of 'miss perfect' and 'miss too good for everyone else', which were both totally unjustified. Truth was, she wasn't ready to step into her brother's shadow, because her brother had always been the popular jock when he went to school, something she didn't want; becoming popular. When she however met the more popular crowd, she liked them and stayed with them for a while, until she began to realize how superficial they were compared to what she liked.
About two months after that realization, her life changed entirely when she was attacked and turned into a werewolf. It was one of those days where everything went entirely according to plan, but she had to have the thoughts of something going wrong, with her drug related past. And something did go wrong. Exactly on the moment where she had been drinking a little bit too much, she was attacked and truth be told, she doesn't remember anything about it. She doesn't remember who attacked her, or if it was actually a who to begin with. All she knows, is that she woke up in the hospital and that's that. Since then, she has however been keeping more distance from the people around her, because she knows something has changed in her.
Shannelle later on realized she had to regain her normal life and move on from the traumatic experience of being attacked and turned into a werewolf. So, she went back to school, got herself a dorm-room with one of the most popular girls around and made some friends. She even got herself a job at the mall as a worker and cashier in one of the little shops. But, of course, the werewolf that turned her, had to throw that around by showing himself to her. When she met him, he introduced himself as Darryl Carter and told her he was a police officer and didn’t want to hurt her, but that he was the one to have turned her. She got mad and told him off, before running off. Later she met a girl that befriended her, but was obviously in love with Darryl and when she later found out this girl was in fact obsessed by Darryl, things got a little out of hand. Then when she finally was put away and Shannelle and Darryl had put their differences aside, eventually even becoming an item, Shannelle thought things would finally go to a state of normal.
Nothing was more true, when she turned one of her friends Zachary Cartel into a werewolf and had the guilt rise in her heart and mind. She trained with Darryl to control it, but it was a slow process. Then she met Matthew Reeds, a hunter, whom she saved from a pack of rabid wolves. Later, Shannelle was saved by him when Xzavier Evans shot her and he carried her away. Eventually, even though Shannelle swore to herself that she hated him, she fell in love with him and couldn’t help it one bit. When she told Darryl, he of course was upset, but understood as well and the two split, with Shannelle going to the airport to take a break from everything and get things together. Then, surprisingly, Matt was there and the two of them left together for a holiday where both grew together and fell even more in love. Then upon returning, Matt told Shannelle he wanted to be with her forever and asked her to turn him into a werewolf as well, to which she somewhat reluctantly agreed.
The two of them started living together in their own house as Shannelle refused to let Darryl build an apartment on his grounds and next to his mansion for the two of them, as her pride got into the way a little bit too much. So, they got a house in the neighborhood that the two of them bought and paid for with their own money. Then after two years, Matt asked Shannelle to marry him, as a symbol of their love and how he really wanted to spend eternity with her. Of course, Shannelle said yes and they married only a month after that with everyone there. Now eight years later, they're still married and still very much in love.
CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
Upon first sight, Shannelle is just an average young woman, but this isn’t true at all. She’s tough and a female alpha to a pack. For her I’d like to get some friends outside of the pack and to grow more as a person.[/BLOCKQUOTE]

Shannelle looked at her two best friends, with tears in her eyes, as she listened to what they said to her, about how they were mad at her for the fight she had unwillingly caused. She was never this violent and it hurt her to see her friends so mad at her. “I'm sorry, okay?” She then said, with her voice barely a whisper, before she ran off, straight into one of the guys she had the fight with. She softly cursed and apologized again, before trying to get away.[/color]
She had been trying, she had, but ever since she was attacked, those damn violent tendencies, tended to get in the way. And the only way to get rid of them, were, well.. by giving in to them and that sucked. When she finally got loose, she ignored the 'freak' comments and ran to her car, as she pulled her headphones out and put on her music.
