HONEY MICHELLE JOHNSON
Honey Johnson | 22 | Heterosexual | Good - Witch/Tetrad | Bartender at LA Fever | Jennifer Hudson[/color][/font][/CENTER]
STRENGTHS
[/BLOCKQUOTE]
- Sociable - Honey is definitely a people person. She a social butterfly, getting along with a bunch of people with her outgoing and calm personality. It isn't unheard of that she will quote her mother, and most of the time likes to give her honest oppinion to people without any criticism. She is a good girl, opposed to what has happened to her in the past. But if someone rubs her the wrong way or disrespects her family, she gets very very protective.
- Good-Hearted - Honey is a giver, not a taker. She isn't one to accept charity, but when she gets to help others it makes her feel good. Giving some advice, being a person to talk to is who she is - and she won't judge or tell you want to do, just give you her oppinion. And with someone like her, it is usually a wise word.
- Retail Skills - She isn't a wiz, but she has had her history with retail. She went from a fast-food worker, to a boutique cashier, to a produce worker and now to a bartender. She hasn't held up a job because before she couldn't control her powers, but now she has a stable job and loves working the bar and til, then being able to perform with her girls whenever she wants as well.
- Relatively Intellectual - She is no Einstein, but Honey has a habit of remembering things in study. She was good at math in high school, and is good at remembering lyrics but is very good at remembering magical history, knowing spells and where to find them. She is the one that used to do her brother's taxes and such, and is a filling-in manager when Adam is out. Not to mention she likes to play partial leader with Adam in the circle.
- Fashion-sense - Honey loves fashion. To work for Fashion LA magazine is a dream for her, but she wanted to have independence so she got a job where she could, and likes where she is right now but with her budget-bound style that she works so well, she would love to share her ideas and passion for fashion.
- Voice - Honey fits the stereotype of being a strong black woman with an amazing voice, much like her mother. Honey has a strong melodic vocal that she doesn't always let shine, but working at LA Fever and having a usual three-girl vocal of her, Marty and Ayla, she can't get enough for the time to come for them to go up and do there thing.
- Powers - Honey is a natural born witch, with a skipped generation from her grandmother to her. Being a powerful legacied witch, Honey has one natural ability; telepathy. This allows her to hear the thoughts of anyone around her, or even receive images of scenarios and thoughts they are thinking. Over the years, she has developed a way to temporarily block out the thoughts. But she is also prone to potential telekinetic ability since a little girl after using her powers to kill her brothers. She is a powerful witch, even though she doesn't see that, she is.
WEAKNESSES
[/BLOCKQUOTE]
- Seeing The Best ::: Honey always tries to see the best in people. Weird because of the people that polluted her childhood, but if someone has done her wrong she will try to look past it. It can be gift, but a curse as well because this girl is always trying to make exceptions for people, and can be very very forgiving and naive. It is a bad trait in her brothers' eyes because they try to protect the girls, but Honey has a tendancy to introduce herself to more pain.
- Temper ::: Oh, you don't want to piss her off. Honey is definitely what you would call a strong girl, and if you offend her or her family and friends, you have to answer to the angry chick bottled inside who pops at any jerk trying to hurt her or the people around her. But this temper has lead to her getting into fights protecting people, getting fired for standing for what she believes in. Sometimes she can shake it off because some peoples thoughts say different to their words, but knowing if what they are saying is what they are thinking just sets her off.
- Martial Arts ::: I can't say she is a lover not a fighter, but she is definitely not a fighter. Blame it that she isn't exactly the right figure to be all punchy kicky, but she is working on it. Where Bree is a martial artist, Parker and hold his own and Jaxon is all strong and wolfy, she has her magic. That kinda makes up for it, but she is definitely not a fighter.
- Her Mother ::: Honey idolized her mother, and praised the woman. She took her away from a place of rejection and negativity and made a scared little girl smile again, and she couldn't ask for more. Honey was very close with her mother, and respected her mothers values and morals and took them on board as her own, and even emulates her mother with wise words and such which lead to a lot of 'stop trying to be mom' from her siblings.
- Smoking ::: She started when she was sixteen, and she hasn't stopped. She isn't a packet a day smoker or even a chain smoker like mr firebird, but she does smoke a bit. Not so much at work, but at home and when she goes out and such. Her mother didn't like it, but since she did the same she didn't believe in do as I say, not as I do so she let Parker and Honey do it, but knew that was the worst they would do, which is how she deeply underestimated Jaxon.
- Vulnerable ::: Honey doesn't have excelled healing like Jaxon. She can't shoot flames from her hands every second like Parker. And she can't do everything like Bree. All of them can protect themselves from things, but Honey is definitely the weakest out of the four. She can't fight, it takes a lot of concentration to try and do offensive or protective spells and she has barely got control over her telekinesis. Without the siblings, she could die easily, but maybe sometimes soon that will change greatly.
- Powers ::: With power comes - well - pain. Honey is a powerful witch granted, but it is also a bit uncontrollable. Honey has gotten a bit of a grip on telekinesis, but subconsciously the power can be activated where simply willing something to happen occurs, like turning off the light or shattering the TV. Her telepathy, if it is on overload and starts hurting her head, her telekinesis can be very unstable - and unsafe. She might have been a witch all of her life, but she also is a bit of a time-bomb.

HISTORY
There are those brought into a life of prosperity and fortune out of sheer luck, but some aren't that lucky. But how you bounce back from this shows how strong you really are. Honey was born in Compton, LA on what she remembers as Longbeach Blvd to Rochel Spitz, an unemployed drunk who praises the lord, but still comits all of his sins. Honey had four brothers with four different fathers, and each other them were affiliated in gangs, drugs and crime. It was a hard neighbourhood, often consisting of drivebys and homeless people were often found on their front porch. I guess Honey was lucky because she wasn't homeless, but she was subjected to some horrible things for the first seven years of her life. Honey wasn't strong at this point, in fact she was far from it. She was innocent, and hurt and having to be witness to horrific things. Her brothers coming back with either hookers or gun-shot wounds, and trying to roll her mother over so she didn't choke on her own vomit. It was horrible for her, always going to school dirty and all the kids would make fun of her, or judge her because of her family. Honey was seven years old and having to deal with so much. She would eat mac n' cheese every night because her mother was too drunk to cook, and spent a lot of time in her room. Often the teachers at school would give Honey snacks from the kitchen because she was as skinny as a stick, and would give her regular appointments at to the nurse to check her blood/sugar levels and her bruises she had on her arms and legs. Sounds bad right? But you don't even know half of it.[/BLOCKQUOTE]
She didn't know what was happening to her, but ever since Honey was a baby she had been - different. If she cried for long periods of time, her mother would go to the cradle to find cracks through the cradle walls, and the light bulb glowing even though the switch was off. That wasn't all. As soon as Honey could talk, she could hear thoughts. The thoughts of an individual at the exact time, classifying her as telepathic. Durastic right? It used to freak her mother out. If Honey was startled, glass would break along with if she was angry. And usually she would do things for her mother if her mother just thought them, and would go to sleep trying to block out the perverted and horrible thoughts of her older brothers. Honey didn't know that her grandmother was a witch, and it skipped her mother's generation and down to her. She didn't know why her mother drank all the time, or why her mother was so messed up. She never asked, she was too young after all. Honey had no idea how her life was going to change when one night, her drunken mother blamed her for stealing candy from the jar. Grabbing a rolling pin, the stumbling Rochel swung down at her daughter. Honey didn't know what happened, but soon she felt something come over her. The seven year old used her powers, and sent her mother hurling across the room and into a glass case, it shattering as her mother landed on the ground, gasping for air. Honey remembered the terrified look in her mother's eyes but it was out of Honey's control. With her mind, she was straining her mother's heart to the point that she died. Honey didn't know what to do, but as soon as she heard the thoughts of her brother's coming home from a late night delivery she ran. She ran as far as her weak legs would take her, until she saw a swirling light and found herself in a beautiful room. What the?
Honey was at the Celestial Institute, which was acting as a supernatural orphanage in the late 2000's before being opperated by Max Smith. She remembers a beautiful woman with wings, Baeriel who was an arch-angel, bent on helping supernatural kids follow through into their proper destiny. Baeriel knew where Honey belonged, and didn't have to wait long for that special person for Honey to come. Honey had never seen a place so beautiful, or a place so strange. She remembered seeing kids shooting electricity from their hands, kids turning into rock, kids disappearing from sight. She remembered however when she first met Parker and Jaxon. Jaxon was a little bear-like wolf who would roll around on the floor, and Parker would sneeze and Baeriel would be running for the fire extinguisher. She remembered thinking they were cool, really cool. So it was weird when this kind lady came to the Institute, and instantly adopted Honey, Jaxon, Parker and a beautiful little baby that had no name. This is when life really started out new for Honey. She knew that the others had it tough too, but she specifically had had it tough. And it was going to be hard adjusting to this new life.
There was a big adjustment for them. This woman got them bathed and clothed, and fed them before everything. Honey remembered that the only one to pick up a fuss was Jaxon who kept barking at her, but she then sat them down to talk. She said her name was Catherine, and that she was there new mommy. She told them that they were special, very special but Catherine always had a soft spot for Honey because she had a similar childhood centred around abuse and poverty, and Honey always felt comfortable with her. Catherine enforced Honey's own knowledge of religion, teaching her and the rest of the kids in the way of the Lord. Honey had a bit more respect for the beliefs then the others, but that is just her. She didn't even remember what he last name was anymore, she just knew that now it was Johnson; Honey Johnson. Catherine was the best mother in the world, trying to make things as comfortable and normal as she could while also allowing them to use their gifts. Since Catherine was a hunter years ago, she knows all about them - except maybe for Bree who always seemed so normal until she used her powers which was extravagent. But Honey was always confused. Jaxon was a werewolf, Parker was a Phoenix and Bree was just really powerful; what was she? Catherine took it upon herself to teach Honey in the ways of witchcraft from all the connections she could muster, and at ten years old she was getting it quickly. Upon that, Catherine also supported her with a lot of things. Sitting back by the fire and finding that Honey had an amazing natural singing voice, and allowed her to get lessons and bought her a mini microphone set to play with. Catherine had a habit of making sure Honey was always fed since when she adopted her, Honey was basically stick and bone and Honey quickly gained the weight she needed. Though Catherine loved all the kids the same, Honey still felt very connected to her; like she would her birth mother if she were still alive.
When it came to Honey's personal life, it was very fresh when attending LA High. She evolved from the taumatized girl to - well, someone as sweet as Honey. She was studios and usually kept on top of her homework. She was knowledgable and got a job casual after school at a fast food restaurant and actually had a nice crowd of friends at High School, including her best friends Marty Fondacaro and Ayla Carlson. Things had improved for Honey as she joined the school choir and was often commemorated by the design teacher on her fashion sense by altering and styling up items from a nine dollar rack, and was told that doing fashion could be Honey's calling. But when things are looking up, it has to be torn down. When Honey was sixteen and at one of her first party's at a guy's house, she was drugged and rapped for about an hours until Parker came and saved her. After that, Honey understandably closed herself off from a lot of people; including her family. But over time, her resilience kicked in and she was able to let people in. Turns out that the guy that did it was a student at Constance & Brand Academy; and a few days after was found beat up by Jaxon, and Jaxon was fined with assault; but in a way Honey was grateful that he stuck up for his sister. But it was safe to say that Honey didn't have sex or date until she finished high school, which she did with a mid GPA and possibilities of the future, but wanted to stay close to home to look after her siblings and keep the family together, even though by contribution of Jaxon it was starting to fall apart already.
Amidst hanging out with Bree as she started high school and getting a job at a little boutique called Panteena's, where she became good friends with her owner Alana and also had to deal with some other dramas. Her best friend, Marty, lost everything when her father was revealed to be in a big money scam in the Upper East Side, and they were left with nothing. Her family moved to Colorado to live, but Marty didn't want to be subjected to leaving her life in LA, so Honey spoke to Catherine and Marty moved in with them. It was like having another sister, and Honey had actually found a guy. A guy that seemed pretty regular, and not having any sadistic tendancies. Except when he was drunk, and Hoeny was at his and he beat her up. Honey's trust issues once again plummetted but not before her powers kicked in, and she telekinetically broke his knee-cap. After that, it was as if she had given up on guys all together, and it didn't help when Parker came to a realization that in order to control his powers and get his life in order, he couldn't be in LA. So he left, and flew around the world leaving Ayla, Honey's good friend and Parker's girlfriend, in tears. But they had to overcome this, and at 21 the girls got their alcohol permits and the three girls applied for jobs at LA Fever at bartenders, and got the job. Upon starting there, Honey could sense something about the owner and DJ. Something - powerful. It turned out that Adam (owner) and Derrick (DJ) were both witches, like Honey. Marty knew about witchcraft and the supernatural by living with Honey, so when she found out she wanted in. The four formed a circle of natural magic, apart from Marty who was just practicing and had a long way ahead.
Honey has just turned twenty two one month ago today, and has no idea of its significance. Living with Marty in an apartment, working every night and also the three girls getting the stage all the time, things were looking up. Honey was still at the house everyday, hanging with Bree since Jaxon was in jail at this time for malicious damage and robbery. This was stressing her mother, so Honey did what she could around the house to make things easier. But two weeks ago, Honey came home to visit her mother and her sister after hearing the news that Jaxon was going to be let out of jail in a few days, when she saw that the front door was open. Coming inside, she found blood over the walls, pieces of her mother's flesh scattered over the floor and Bree on the ground traumatized. There mother was dead, and Honey was broken as the cops came and did there thing. There family was broken, and Honey tried to get onto Parker to tell him what happened. He said he would be back as soon as possible, but what about Jaxon. The funeral service is today, and Honey's heart is straining to come back together. To be strong for her family, and more importantly, to find out who did this.
CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
Honey will act as the middle child of the siblings, trying to keep everything calm and not too crazy. Honey will be trying to help Bree out during this time, while both her and Palmer will get along for the simple reason that they are both trying to keep this family together. Honey is apart of the new generations circle, which is made up of the employees at LA Fever when the owner, Adam, recognizer Honey's power and started the coven. It involves Honey, Adam, Marty and Derrick. Though due to darkness never dying, later on the power of Everette comes into Honey, allocated from the PTB to the new protector. This power, it will require help because inside Honey it will first be very hard to control. But a past flame of the brother's with the same power will definitely be able to help.[/BLOCKQUOTE]
