STRENGTHS
[/BLOCKQUOTE]
- Demon Powers: She has the general powers of most demons, including superhuman strength, agility and durability.
- Cryokinesis: As the demons that raised and turned her intended, she also got the elemental power of Cryokinesis and using the power of ice to her advantage, freezing all kinds of things, or people, but being able to do more than just that with it too, as long as it has to do with ice.
- Witch: Finding out her family heritage was/is that of a witch, she learned some basic witch abilities including some basic telekinesis, but more importantly learning how she survived in the first place, and most importantly gaining the power of Aerokinesis.
- Writing: She has a good skill for writing up stories, including her diaries, and fiction stories that just came up into her head and she wrote to occupy herself from any other thoughts, but also journalistic articles for things she noticed through the years when she wasn’t in solitude, and even now sometimes sends something in to a newspaper as a freelancer, sometimes anonymous, sometimes not on purpose.
- Listening: She’s a very good listener, at least Ash herself is, she honestly lovest o just take the time to listen to others hope to be able to help them with it too, because she loves listening and especially helping others their problems instead of focussing on herself and her own.
WEAKNESSES
[/BLOCKQUOTE]
- Dual Personality: Even though Ash has made significant progress through the years of learning about her own past and heritage and learning how to control the demon even moe, even having made some sort of a deal with it after it was betrayed itself, she still sees it as a weakness and is still somehow convinced that given the chance, the demon would get rid of her when it gets the chance and having the knowledge of surviving it itself, because she has learned that the demon does have quite a bit of desire to stay alive.
- Hot Fire: Because of her elemental power of ice, she can only have so much heat and fire at the same time, her ice can compensate and even fight fire to a pretty good extent, but if it is too focussed and/or hot, she and her energy can suffer from the result of the ice melting and making her weaker or just feeling the burning pain emanate through that way.
- Awkward: Because of how she knows exactly by now what she is and how it influences her, or could even do it more, she can be a bit awkward, especially around people she actually lies she can be really awkward at first or from time to time.
- Claustrophobic: The demons that raised her kept all of the kids at night in very small closets, with just a few pillows to sleep on and nothing else, not even a light, this made her automatically pretty badly claustrophobic and against complete darkness too.
- Uncertainty: She still doubts herself somewhat at times, not sure about herself, how much of the dark half is actually derived from her own personality, if the demons took her because they saw that evil potential inside her or because it’s just because of how innocent she can look, all these doubts make her very uncertain, but she’s also very uncertain at the same time if she still even deserves to stay alive.

HISTORY
Ashleigh was born 128 (Now 139) years ago in a small village in Europe where he family ran to after getting into trouble with a group of demons that they only figured out too late were actual demons that wanted their daughters for their own bidding. While Ash and her sister Anna weren’t told anything about the whole situation, they just grew up, eventually adapting to the new living environment and the new language there. Their childhood was peaceful from there on out until Ashleigh eventually turned 9 and on the night of her birthday, the village was attacked by a group of men and women that used dark magical powers to destroy as much of the village within minutes and kill as much of the villagers that got in their way even a little bit.[/BLOCKQUOTE]
Ashleigh doesn’t remember too much about it, except the screaming, the sounds of the villagers she slightly knew screaming for mercy and in pain, her parents trying to hide her and her sister, but failing in the end and only a flash of how she saw them die in front of them. She still doesn’t know how it happened, but just after that flash that she can remember, her sister was gone too, but she had been right next to her at that moment, and as the people took her, which turned out to be the same demons their parents had been on the run from, she never spotted her sister and never saw her again, but still secretly always holding on to the hope that she might be alive somewhere and that at least something or someone thought she was worth saving from these people.
She figured she herself would be dead within no time, but once they arrived at the house they were living at, it became clear soon that she wasn’t the only child being held there, she was one of four in total from then on, yet still being one of the older ones of them, which made some of them look up to her, a role she automatically had to accept and take on herself. She began seeing them as her siblings and even though they were raised in human form by demons, who tried to make them as tough as possible by abusing them, making them do horrible things to other prisoners they brought in, Ash kept hope for something to change herself, and tried to let the others have the same.
It wasn’t until years later when she was about to turn into an adult officially at the age of 18, when they took her in the middle of the night on a Full Moon to one of the big chambers in the house for some kind of ritual. Having a completely bad feeling about instantly when they had taken her so spontaneously, she was sure that something was off, that something was really wrong an started fighting as hard as she could, giving them an as hard as time as ever to try and get away, or try to keep them busy for as long as possible because she had managed to let one of the boys and the girl that she saw as her siblings get away, but didn’t know that the other boy had been captured again in that process.
The ritual they performed on her was painful, that’s the most she remembered, a deep splitting pain through her entire body, suddenly feeling very cold and having the most disturbing thoughts she ever had go through her head. It felt for her like she had been screaming in agony for hours, maybe even days, at least it seemed to last endless before she finally collapsed to the ground, laying there for she didn’t know how long either. When she finally pushed herself up, she felt different, confused, conflicted, especially when they brought the boy that had been captured into the room, putting him in front of her and telling her to use what she had gained thanks to them to kill him, to put him out of his misery because he would otherwise suffer the same fate. She didn’t want to comply and she refused as much she could, getting a beating that she noticed didn’t feel as much as she had expected and usually did. Still before she could regain herself, she got that splitting pain shoot through her body again, and before she realized it, she had been partially taken over by another side of her that had been created inside her. The demons seemed surprised of this themselves, having expected that side of her to be the only thing left in her, the obedient dark demon they had created with the powers of a demon and Cryokinesis they had given her, but Ashleigh herself was still in there too, witnessing how this dark half of hers seemed to know exactly what to do and used her Cryokinesis power to freeze the just a big younger guy than her, and even though she was screaming to stop at that moment, seeing with her own eyes how she herself smashed the frozen body into pieces.
Heartbroken of what she had seen herself do, even though she hadn’t any control of it at that time, she was brought back to her quarters to rest, not that she got much rest because quickly enough that other side of her started talking to her, telling her how she hated that weak part of her, that she shouldn’t feel bad, but if she was going to keep feeling that way, she would find a way to get rid of her, not wanting something like her to keep her down from the power and everything that she could achieve with her new “demon family” but Ash still didn’t give up, she didn’t give into the threats, stating that she would rather die herself and take her down with her, before she was going to let her take full control. One night she managed to break loose, once she managed to control the demon powers and the Cryokinesis for her own gain, and not having to be her dark half to use it, ignoring how mad that made that dark side of her. It took her some work, but she managed to kill quite a few of the demons using what they had given her against them and then fleeing the scene, running for about a day non stop until eventually she had to take a rest in a city.
After she had gone to sleep, her dark half had managed to take over again because of the low activity of Ash’s own consciousness and started killing people in the hotel she was staying at, making Ash realize it halfway through and after fighting quite a battle in her mind, managing to take over, looking at the people she felt responsible for killing lying in front of her and the blood spread around. She was officially 22 then, but she couldn’t live her life, she knew it, especially not like this, so she ran again, finding a place that was deserted and had supplies for her to survive and laid low there, locking herself in there mostly when she went to sleep, making sure it was resistant to quite some force and as best against freezing as possible. She spent about a century there, only going out when she needed supplies, using the rest of the time to practice keeping herself under control and suppressing her dark side, which on her own turn was enraged by this human personality being able to be a step ahead of her suddenly with everything.
After 102 years of this, she had to move because of construction and housing being build where she was hiding out, and with coincidence ended up eventually in the United States, she started trying to live a normal life as possible, trying to ignore the dark half inside of her, which still kept on fighting for control, and still managed to get out from time to time too, or even leaking some of it’s sinister ideas into her part of their mind, making her sick, or just simply completely furious because of it and having to fight to not give into that feeling like she knew that the dark half wanted. After 4 more years, she found a sort of neutral balance, it was fragile, but it was more than she had managed to get before. When she learned of all the different kinds of supernatural activity in LA, both herself and her dark half got different ideas of the opportunities of it and it didn’t take long for her to move there when she had showed them some of the pictures she’d made through the years of the isolated sceneries she’d been through, loving to observe life, and getting a job as a photographic journalist for her mixed skills of making good pictures and her writing.
It was soon after Ash had found a place for herself that she also joined the team that was going to find Samael and was happy with having a place fighting evil in the name of good. Yet her demon wouldn’t be an actual demon if it just let her do that without problems and already started scheming of its own. It wasn’t long after that that the warlock Corvin summoned her to him and forced the demon to take over control again even against Ash’s will. Yet even then with a magical medaillion forcing her to the background of her own head again, Ash managed to surprisingly break through, even if it was just emporary and fight against Corvin using her power of Cryokinesis, and also eventually all of a sudden throwing a powerful gush of sharp wind at him when her witch power of Aerokinesis came up.
After that, Ash started digging deep into her past and especially her family’s past, finding out her witch heritage and from there trying to tap into that more too, also finally being convinced she found out how she had survived in the first place, but yet at the same time wondering if the demons had any idea but just kept it a secret from both herself as the demon that they placed in her. Whil she Ash was busy with that and helping the team, the demon had made a pact with Corvin and Samael to help them and spy on the team any chance she got while the demon also took the chance when she could to have a physical relationship with Samael for a while.
It was until a while later around when Ash started learning more and more of witchcraft and using and controlling it that the demon felt betrayed by Samael, being furious but not being able to do something with Ash gaining even more control over herself again with learning the arts of witchcraft and good magic. Yet Ash saw her chance clean and while going to Michael for guidance and help on how to perfect it as much as possible for the control, but also balancing her mind so that the demon wouldn’t want to get out all the time, she made a deal with the demon, it would stay put and stop ruining her life at any point it could, if Ash also stopped constantly looking for a way to actually get rid of the demon.
She fought along in the battle against Samael, and also in as much as she was herself after that, still in the name of good and even survived, something that made her rethink her choices in life. She chose to keep journalism and photographing as a hobby, still sending in both stories and photo’s she made to newspapers, especially the L.A. Times, but at the same time while she joined the Seraphim Foundation too, wanting to continue her work for the team and friends in there that she lost as much as she could, mentoring and teaching newcomers that were victimized in a way like she was, and started on a career of teaching, and getting a hang of it quickly because of her experiences, soon becoming professor of three classes at UCLA, where unexpectedly for her a student quickly grabbed her attention too.
CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
Ash will probably want to be a present force of good where she can with working as a mentor/teacher for Seraphim, while also trying to keep in touch and mostly an eye out where she can on the other few members of the old team that did luckily survive and wanting to be able to keep them safe. Just like most of the time her job at Seraphim, she loves her job as a professor too and through that getting in contact with Jaxon, who she’s going to seduce and then “help” with his grades. Even though she knows the desires of the demon have something to do with it too, she’ll know and start noticing after a while that she’s still getting actual feelings for him and wants to help him more and more too.[/BLOCKQUOTE]
