2022
She didn't realize that this evening was going to be different than any other. To her, it was just a cold out and foggy. Her hands were in her pockets and she could see her breath sort of in front of her face. She just had to get over to Trent's and then she'd be warmed. She mentally mind touched Trent so he'd be at the door when she got there.
Just then she felt a wave of magic hit her and she dropped to her knees. Glancing up she saw one of Vasile's wives chanting with a book in her hand, her eyes going gold with malevolence. "Trent!!" she screamed as she felt mist envelope her for a moment and her innards shifted.
Whitechapel England 1888
Rising slightly she smelled piss in the streets. When did the street start smelling like that? And the air was full of crap. She felt her lungs seize up as she tried to stand a bit shakily, her brown eyes looking around as she tried to make sense of where she was. There was a lamp post off in the distance but it didn't look like anything she'd seen in America. The light inside it flickered and she realized it was gas. Checking herself lightly she realized she was okay just very confused.
"Trenton? Where are you?" she called as she took a step out into the light and snuggled deeper into her coat. There was part of a newspaper stuck to the wall and she peeled it off just enough to read the date then stepped back. 1888....just like Trenton's memory. This wasn't good. She didn't know where she was and she was in his old stomping grounds. Worst still, she wasn't dressed for the time period. Not that she was dressed sluttily but it would raise a few eyebrows. Exhaling she tried to focus on where Trent was. Maybe, just maybe she could find him.
She felt a set of eyes watching her and turned. Vasile came out of the mist dressed in a well groomed gentleman's evening suit. He chuckled lowly and she backed off a bit more. "Well well...out of your element, Princess? Care for an escort?" he offered as he held out a kit gloved hand for her.
She turned and bolted down an alley blindly, she knew he was following her but she knew he would not be out to help her. Oh God oh god... she thought to herself as she slid around a corner and the mist cleared.

White Chapel England 1888
Trenton let out a cruel smile as the girl whimpered and begged for her life. "Please. Please do not kill me," she implored as tears streamed down her face. "Oh, but my dear. I must for I am hungry and you are merely insignificant human," he hissed. With that, he pulled her close to him, letting his features change as his bloodlust rose. She screamed again. "Oh my---! What are you?" she asked hysterically. Trenton made a tsking noise. "Such language. Taking the Lord's name in vain. No wonder the church threw you out," he chided. "Well that and your "job" of course," he continued as an afterthought. Then he bore down savegely tearing at her neck. He then pulled a knife from his jacket pocket and cut out his bite marks before further mutilating the girl. Then, he disappeared, leaving the girl's form lifeless on the street.
Shortly after this, he was cleaned up and on the hunt again. He didn't care that he had just fed and therefore didn't need to hunt. He was going to make this city rain blood. However, his hunt was interrupted when an oddly familiar scent hit his nostrils. Wha---who is that? he wondered. He didn't recognize the scent, and yet...he did. How was that possible? Following the scent he found a woman running blindly down an alley. His brows furrowed in confusion when he realized that the scent was coming from her. How do I know this woman? he wondered. Then he gave himself a mental shrug as his features curved into a cruel smile. It was probably just one of the many girls he had been romancing. Well then, it was time to swoop in and play "savior". He'd lead her away to a quiet spot, get her calmed down, and then strike when she least expected it. With that, he used his speed to race towards the woman, stopping when he was in front of her. Then, he waited...

Marina skidded to a stop, as he zipped in front of her Then took a breath, " He won't go away. I told him to leave me alone. I told him I was spoken for." she said as she tried to catch her breath. Vasile came close behind and then paused, " Well it would seem that even in a strange country separated by over a hundred years she can still find you. The trick is, Princess, can you trust the Ripper?" he laughed and with a courtly bow zipped off. His laughter echoing behind him. Shivering from the cold and damp she tried to catch her breath, " Thank you, Trenton. I know this is an imposition but I don't have anyone else to go to. I...he cast a spell that brought me here." she said as she tried to straighten her clothes a bit and fix her wind swept appearance. Her hair was held out of her face by two simple braids while the rest flowed down her back in a wealth of curls that only grew tighter with the moist air. She ducked her head down shyly, realizing he didn't know her, " My name's Marina." she said softly, " Marina Sinclaire." she finally got her fox fur over cape settled and exhaled softly, his mark glowing slightly under the necklace he had given her for her birthday one year. Her heartbeat began to slow down and if he drew close he could catch his own scent on her as well as her own. She waited while he looked her over, calm and passive if he were to draw close or scoop her into his arms. Not flinching from any touch he may make towards her.

Trenton looked at her in disinterest as she struggled to catch her breath. Okay, remember to let her calm down first. Then you can swoop in for the kill he reminded himself. Then, his brows furrowed in slight confusion as the girl told him that she had told someone that she was spoken for and that she had tried to make them go away. Why would I care about this other than it making it easier for me to kill her? he wondered, Then to his surprise, Vasile, the Vampire King appeared. Is---is this his prey? he wondered with a certain amount of alarm. Though he may be ruthless as any other vampire and normally wouldn't care if he stole someone else's meal, a Vampire King was a whole different matter. However, the other vampire just made the comment that the girl could obviously find him no matter the circumstances and then disappeared. I do believe he's lost it, he thought to himself. Oh, well. No matter. He had a meal to attend to.
Trenton approached the girl as she spoke, apologizing for her imposition, saying that she had no where else to go and that someone had cast a spell to bring her here. I've come across someone who's escaped from an asylum. Wonderful, he thought to himself. However, she seemed to think that they knew each other, so perhaps he could use that to his advantage.
Then, she seemed to remember her place and looked down as she introduced herself. Marina Sinclair. That was an interesting name. Strong, powerful. "And what are you doing out here all alone at this hour, Miss Sinclair? Where is your father or your escort?" he wondered, feigning concern. He had to play this right. He had to make her trust him. Once he did that, she'd be an easy kill. But why did she smell so familiar?

She could sense that Trent didn't know her from Adam. This was not good. She'd fair better calling Alfred and getting herself a place to stay that wasn't in a slum. She frowned at Vasile. What a prick. she sighed as she massaged her temples and Vasile disappeared. How melodramatic. You'd have thought he was Dracula himself. she snorted.
She felt his emotions; Alien and analyzing her. This was definitely not her Trent by a long shot. She'd be better off going upstairs honestly and finding her way home rather than deal with Trent in Ripper mode. He'd been a douchebag monster then. He was clearly stuck on himself by the way the smugness rolled off him. Lousy jerk.
"As I told you, Sir. The gentleman who just left had someone cast a spell that brought me here. As for where my father is? Probably in hell where he belongs. After all you and Diana killed him. there was no malice there just honest sincerity as she kept her eyes downcast, "Clearly you do not remember me. I thank you for distracting the gentleman and my apologies for disturbing your...evening."
More like murderfest, but hey who was she kidding? She didn't know how many he had killed. She'd do better to go elsewhere. Her necklace rubbed at her throat and she removed it, handing it to him, "If you have a desire to speak with me or have need of healing simply think of me when you're holding that and I will appear." His mark showed plainly, glowing with power in the evening. She didn't dare turn her back on him but she was certainly going to teleport herself out of here as soon as he was distracted or bored.

Trenton's eyes furrowed as the woman responded by saying that Vasile had cast a spell that had brought her here and that her father was probably in hell as he and Diana had sent him there. "What you say is impossible. I have not seen that wench in years," he retorted. And why would he? It wasn't as if they were traveling in the same circles. He was already a legend among vampires and Diana---well, who knew and who cared? Certainly not him.
Then she said that it was clear that he did not remember her and she thanked him for distracting Vasile and apologized for disturbing his evening. "You didn't disturb me at all," he replied as he began to approach her once more. "Your scent. Why is it familiar to me?" he asked as he stepped closer to the woman. To his surprise, she took off her necklace and then handed it to him, saying that if he wanted to speak with her or was in need of healing, he was to think of her while holding the necklace and she would appear. "So, what are you? Some kind of fairy or genie?" he asked with mild curiosity. He didn't particularly care what she was of course, but if she was offering her sevices to him, who was he to turn her down? Who knew? Perhaps sometime down the line she could prove to be useful to him. After all, he could always use a human servant to bend to his needs and will.

"You'll meet her one day, My Lord. she said gently but a bit tiredly as he disagreed. She wasn't up to a debate in the part of the city where the poor were cramped and living in squalor.
"I'm not certain, Sir. Perhaps you knew me in the past? I know you in the future so its hard to say. Time being a rather nebulous concept and all. As to what I am. You wouldn't believe me if I told you and I do not wish to detain you any longer." She said simply, "I have no doubt we will meet again." she exhaled softly.
She concentrated and located Alfred. He mentally assured her he was on his way and although it had taken him a few moments he should be coming around. Indeed she heard the sound of hoofbeats on cobbles and saw the lights of a handsome cab. It pulled to a stop and the door opened as Alfred pressed the lever that released the stairs for her to climb up.
With careless ease, the blond angel stepped down and offered her his own gloved hand. "My lady?" he said as she moved closer and he helped her up the stairs. His own suit was well tailored as his great coat swirled about him. His appearance only lending itself to the mythos of the ripper. Prostitutes made offers and cat calls to him which he ignored as if they had not said a word.
"Thank you for keeping my niece safe, My Lord. We are in your debt. I fear that she was dumped off quite unexpectedly and I thank you for your time." Alfred said with a bow.
Mari peeked her head out the open door, "Thank you, Trenton. Be well." she said with a polite wave as Alfred turned and ascended the stairs of the handsome cab and the stairs retracted. There was an obvious pause as he made sure Marina was bundled up. His movements obvious at the brief flash of a blanket that could be seen through the window.

Trenton raised an eyebrow in surprise as the woman---Marina, her name was Marina---told him that he'd meet up with Diana again. Oh really? And how would she know this? he wondered. Was she a witch? Then, she went on to say that perhaps he had known her in the past as he definitely knew her in the future. Okay, she's either insane or some kind of witch he mused to himself. Insane he could work with, but a witch...not even he was stupid enough to mess with one. At her statement that time was nebulous and that she wouldn't believe what she was even if she told him.
Trenton was about to respond when he smelled someone else approaching them and a a moment later, horse hooves were heard. Trenton nodded as the man thanked him for keeping his niece safe even as he helped the woman into the carriage. "It was my honor, Sir," Trenton said in stiff politeness. Then, he watched as they went off. He let out an unnecessary sigh and resumed his hunt once more.
OOC I think that does it for this thread.
