OOC Takes place a day after the Halloween thread
IC Trenton wasn't quite sure what he was planning to do. All he knew was that he was sick and tired of other guys putting their paws all over Marina. Paws. How appropriate given the fact that he was about to confront a werewolf. But he had a good reason to be upset. That blasted dog had sneaked his girl out while he was busy saving him from a damn hell hound. Such ingratitude. I actually stick my neck out for my enemy and this is the thanks I receive? he thought to himself. He had heard that Phillip liked to hang out at L.A. Fever, so he was heading there now to contend with him.
When he finally got to the bar, he paid his way in, and then scanned the crowd. Now then...where is that mangy mutt? he wondered to himself, eyes flashing in displeasure. A part of him knew that he was not thinking clearly, but a larger part of him did not care. He wanted vengeance, and he wanted it now!
Finally seeing who he was searching for, Trenton strode over in the direction of the werewolf, ignoring the stares he knew he was eliciting. He did not care what others thought at this point. He only had one thing on his mind. "Just what kind of fool do you take me for, Dog?" he asked quietly when he finally reached the man.

At L.A. Fever Philip was sitting on his favorite lounge couch as he had a drink in his hand and the bottle he had bought in front of him on the table as he had at least two girls sitting on either side of him enjoying a drink themselves. It totally hadn't taken him long to smell the vampire he probably hated the most of them all when he had come into the club, Trenton and he grinned at the idea that he was most likely here to complain to him about how unfair it was for the poor boy that he had snatched Mari away from the party from Hell, yet again.
When Trenton finally came to his table, Philip just took another sip from his glass and lowered it calmly with an innocent smile around his lips when he heard what Trenton asked him. 'Like an increasingly more-so one?' Philip asked nonchalantly before he laughed for a moment and looked at the two laughing girls next to him before his eyes went back to Trenton. 'For one example that you keep calling me a dog, which is an offense against all werewolves, and even simple wolves, and yet, they are such interesting and beautiful creatures are they not? Still more than Leeches.' He said calmly but mocking him all the same as he shrugged his shoulders.
Philip simply kept sitting where he was as he looked up at Trenton and laughed again before cocking his head to the side. 'Did you even notice how much of a beast you were yourself when killing those hell hounds? You were more busy with killing them, ripping them apart more like it, than the one simple thing you should have been working on, getting Mari out of there! So someone had to.' He added the last part simply before taking another sip calmly and still leaning backward on the couch. 'And yet here you are, pretending like I'm the worst thing that could happen to her, and yet again, here you are, alive and breathing.' He said while still calmly staring him down. 'Did you really believe that a simple "mark" would make me reconsider?' He couldn't help but ask in a mocking way and laugh. 'So, tell me my blood-sucking leech "friend" how big of a fool do you take yourself for?' He asked while with that, he leaned a bit forward.

Trenton had to hand it to Phillip. He had guts. There were not many wolves he knew that would have been so glib with him. At his comment of wolves being beautiful creatures, Trenton rolled his eyes. "I would hardly call your kind beautiful. At least I do not have to change my species to access my powers," he taunted.
At Phillip's admonition about his behavior the previous night, Trenton's eyes darkened and he had to resist the urge to snap his fangs at him. How dare he question his actions? If it had not been for him, he would be dead. "I am a hunter...I hunt...much like you during a full moon. Though, unlike you, I actually know who is friend or foe. When you turn, you are truly a sadistic monster," he responded. "I would have gotten to Marina as soon as possible. The hell hounds were the bigger threat. It is called strategy," he continued. What an arrogant, insolent pup. Anyone else would have done the same, he thought to himself.
When Phillip went on mentioning that Trenton acted like he was the worst thing for Marina though Trenton himself was still alive and breathing, the vampire couldn't stop the growl from erupting from his throat. "At least I never hurt her as you did. She told me all about you," he spat out. Then his eyes flashed even more as the werewolf asked him mockingly if he thought that his mark would make him reconsider. "Even you could not be a big a fool as to break one of our most absolute laws," Trenton growled. Everyone knew that claims were not to be trifled with under severe punishment. After becoming king of L.A., he had widened the spectrum of that law to include all races.
Trenton could not believe he had heard what he had. Did this mongrel actually ask him what kind of fool he he took him as? With a snarl, Trenton lunged at Phillip who had leaned in closer to him. He was going to do Marina a favor and destroy Phillip one way or another...

Philip laughed at how Trenton seemed to think he was smart by going in against him by saying that at least he didn't have to change his species to access his powers. 'Really? What about your fangs my friend? If you weren't able to unplug those or however you want to call it, how much worth would you actually have for your species?' Philip asked as he grinned and then pulled up his eyebrows in a mocking fashion. 'Now there you've made another mistake my leechy friend, if you knew the difference with your hunting between friend or foe, then how come you were too busy killing the creature as brutally as you could instead of just getting her out of there? While you were killing one, I saved her from two!' Philip said as he pointed at Trenton with a sharp look, before he calmed down a bit again and smiled calmly a bit. 'A strategy that would have gotten her killed I can assure you, who do you thinks knows the instincts of hell hounds better? You or me? They were targeting her, not just the damn hell hounds you decided to attack, I barely fought them off when they destroyed the door to the alley, but what would you know of that? You pretend like you have so much self control, but you're just like the simple minded bloodsuckers I hear your Queen has been fighting against for years, I bet she's berated you a bunch of times about that hasn't she?' Philip asked as he grinned broadly again when he asked him that question.
'No! Wrong again!' Philip said as he sat forward again and put his glass on the table as he pointed at Trenton again. 'I at least admit that I've hurt her, you? You think it's just because out of some bullshit vampire rule, you can have claim on her, butl let me tell you this, that she doesn't tell you that you're hurting her, is with Mari a worse thing than if she does actually tell you, you're a freaking vampire Trenton! How can you NOT hurt her?' Philip asked and when he finished he narrowed his eyes in a serious manner, because he was being completely serious with almost everything he said, about he saw it and what his opinion was, just like he found that Trenton was doing, but he didn't find Trenton's comments to be actually based on facts too much either.
Philip couldn't help himself but laughing sarcastically out loud when Trenton's eyes flashed so clearly after Philip had started about the mark, and the way Trent stated that even he couldn't be a big a fool as to break one of their most sacred laws. 'Oh no? You think I give a crap about a rule YOU put into place!?' He asked him in clear disbelief and laughing that way too before shaking his head. When Trenton lunged forward eventually at him, Philip quickly worked to block him as he got up and give him a strong push as his features changed a bit quickly to the partial shift of his body and gave him a warning growl as he looked straight him, after looking around at some of the people in the bar having stood up and looking their way, or even putting a step toward them. 'See? You're not in control, you never will be, you're even about to break one of your queen's rules made with the Alpha here, and you're on my turf now.' He said that last part quietly as he leaned closer again and smirked while looking past some of the people again. 'Not every werewolf in town is waiting to be part of the grand packs, some are like me, freelancers, omega's, however you want to call it, but they will help me if I ask them to.' He told him before he cocked his head after a small growl again. 'But I won't, if you choose to break your own rules, I won't let you be stopped, I'll just send you home bruised and broken for Mari to see what kind of a man you are.' He said, making sure the last part was clearly sarcastic.

Trenton's eyes flashed as Phillip taunted him, saying that if he wasn't able to elongate/detract his fangs, he wouldn't do his species much good. Do not rise to the bait. It is what he he wants he thought to himself. Then Phillip asked him why---if he was able to distinguish friend or foe---he had focused on destroying the hell hounds, causing the vampire to roll his eyes. Really? The fact that the werewolf had taken the first chance he had gotten to run away like a pup and he was going to lecture him on how he did battle? "At least I did not run with my tail in between my legs. You could have easily taken Marina to a safe place inside the club. Your problem is that you underestimate Marina's ability to fight,. She heals souls which can be an invaluable tool in a battle. Yet you shelter her like a broken dove when she is more like a lioness," Trenton responded. And that was the main problem he had seen from everybody: they all thought that if you did not fight physically, you were not a warrior. But ironic as it was for a vampire, Trenton knew that sometimes the best way to fight was to help one's soul.
Then, Phillip was going on about the hell hounds, saying that they had destroyed a door to the alley and that his strategy would have gotten Marina killed and that Diana had probably berated him for acting like the more common vampires. "And what do you know of our society? Absolutely nothing," he hissed. When the werewolf said that Marina would never tell him that he was hurting her and then asking how he could not hurt her as a vampire, he burst into mocking laughter. "That is where you are most wrong. She knows that she can tell me if I hurt her. In fact, I encourage it because I have no desire to hurt her and she knows that. From what she has told me over the years, you do not give one whit about her," he informed him. He knew from Marina just how manipulative the other man could be.
When Phillip jeered the law that he had placed in effect, Trenton growled. Really? Was he serious? That was not just about vampire claims, it was also about wolf mate claims. Even as a vampire, he had seen the trouble some wolves had protecting their mates and had suggested the species wide law as part of the peace he and Diana had offered to the wolf community. "For your information, that law applies to any claim made by any species and is punished properly by those of us in authority," he corrected him.
Trenton growled but kept himself at bay when Phillip taunted him again, saying that he wasn't in control and about to break the treaty. As much as he hated to admit it, the dog was right. And he was not about to break his promise because of this insolent pup. Trenton took a few seconds to compose himself and then glared at Phillip, making sure that they had direct eye contact. "Listen and listen well Pup, even freelance Omegas have to obey wolf pack laws just as vampires without their own clans have to obey vampire laws and we all enforce them. Now it is only out of respect for the city's main Alpha and Marina that I do not rip you limb from limb. And if you do not keep from harassing Marina or if you keep ignoring my claim on her, I will serve you up to our Elders and I can almost guarantee you that they will be on my side," he warned, eyes glinting dangerously.
He had just turned to go when Phillip spoke again, saying that if he had broken his own rules, he would send him home bruised and broken for Marina to see. Unable to help himself, he answered him. "She fears you. She wants nothing to do with you," he taunted. And it was the truth: partly. He did not know whether or not she wanted anything to do with him, but she was afraid of him. "I treat her like a Queen and all you can ever do is pick a fight with her. I have her best interests at heart and she does not fear me. She tries to understand me," he continued. "So tell me Phillip, if I am such a monster as you claim, why is she not afraid of me when I cannot compel her not to be afraid as she probably should be? And why is that you had to use werewolf control to get her to sleep with you?" he queried. With that final question, Trenton once more turned Phillip and walked away.

Philip nodded calmly at first, listening to Trent going in against him again and how he could have easily taken Marina to somewhere safe inside the club, but that his problem was that he underestimated Marina's ability to fight, something that already made Philip narrow his eyes at him again, but stayed quiet for now. 'And there it is again, and you don't even hear yourself, typical vampires.' Philip said as he shook his head and then pointed at Trent with a fierce look for a moment. 'For one, that club was the whole ground zero for all that crap! Of course I wasn't going to leave her! And second, ability to fight? I bet she does, I don't doubt it actually, but being able to, doesn't mean that you have to if it can be prevented! With everything Mari's been through you would even want her to fight!? I know exactly what she can be you filthy little bloodsucker! But the only thing I cared about was getting her away, away from all that chaos, and away from you.' He said that last part even more clearly than what he said before that before he lowered his hand and pointing finger.
Philip looked surprised at first, by how Trenton asked and remarked to him what he knew of their society, that he knew absolutely nothing. After that he started laughing and looked away at a random spot on the ceiling before he looked back at Trenton. 'I've been gone for ten years Trent, do you really think all I did was party? Sing and sleep around? Maybe at first, but I've spent years researching too, so patiently that it drove e insane, but I still did it, and you'd be surprised what I know, of your society, of ours, of things that will happen, of things that could be made happen.' Philip said and as this sentence continued, a growing devilish grin came on his face as he shook his head. 'Oh yes, because encouraging someone to tell them if it hurts when their bloodsucking boyfriend is biting her and sucking her blood, is a real encouragement in the end for someone actually telling the truth? In that case, we're actually not so different you and I, even though I had to admit it, she's way too afraid of both of us, I'm sure, to be completely one hundred percent honest about if we hurt her, but the actual difference is that I know that I've hurt her, and I've been spending almost a decade working on fixing that, while you think yourself as some kind of saint, as the best possible outcome for her, like you're some kind of Twilight vampire or something.' He said as he rolled his eyes in sarcasm at that.
'For now.' Philip then started simply to what Trent went in on against him with the law they had placed and how when it was broken, that that person was punished properly by the those of them in authority. 'Besides, what part of not being part of your society, nor the Alphas her in this town haven't you gotten through in your skull? I don't give two shits about that, besides, how long do you honestly believe that your long fought peace will even last? And who is going to clean up the mess left by the sides of you two?' Philip asked as he cocked his head to the side with again a bit of an evil smirk forming around his lips.
While Philip held his eyes directly focused back on Trenton, letting him know that he still wasn't going to be intimidated or impressed by Trenton's looks and words, the werewolves that he had standing with him, started laughing after a short look to them from Philip and kept laughing for a moment as they looked mockingly at Trent. Still Philip gestured with his hand and they stayed quiet again before he looked back at Trent yet again. 'I must have missed something, but aren't you and especially the Queen the Elders? Otherwise you wouldn't be in charge would you? But the thing that you need to understand, is that I'm no Pup, and at least I know that things are going to change.' Philip told him with a smirk, wanting to mysteriously let the other one know that there were things that he did in fact find out while he had been gone, but wasn't going to tell him, but wanting to make sure at the same time that his look made good enough work to convince Trent that he was actually telling the truth, even though the vampire would still be too stubborn for that most likely.
'Afraid yes, but I've also watched enough TV and played in enough plays too for instance to know that even people that have been raped, can sometimes fall for those that raped them, and honestly, I haven't even made that mistake, so how much harder could it honestly be?' He asked him on purpose, head cocked to the side again. After that Philip was mostly just deciding to mock him some more and pretend to be yawning when Trent stated how he treated her and everything and how she didn't fear him but she did fear Philip. He didn't really go in against it on purpose either, but when he heard what Philip asked him and what it was about before he turned around and started walking away, he quickly gave the werewolves around him to take some more distance, which they did. 'Really? I mean, really? Is that what she told you or is that what you assume?' Philip asked, honestly surprised for a moment an then laughing while shaking his head. 'Damn, I almost feel bad for how wrong you actually are, I never used any werewolf control against her, besides, I don't have any Alpha abilities either, so there wasn't all too much controlling I could have done, otherwise I would have prevented her from chasing her tail for a moment when she had transformed.' Philip said calmly on purpose and then shrugged his shoulders. 'Believe what you want, but I'd suggest you believe me when I honestly tell you, that right then and there, she totally wanted it, and I didn't have to use any kind of control or threatening for that.' He said as he grinned, then picked up one of the empty bottles from the table and threw it at Trent as he was still walking away. 'Besides, like I said, I don't give a shit about your "alliances" or you and your "Queens" rules and laws.' He told him challenging, not being able toe help and prevent himself from wanting to challenge Trent to make a move, like he obviously wanted to do.

Trenton rolled his eyes as Phillip stated that he didn't doubt that Marina could fight but that she shouldn't have to and given everything she had been through, did he really want her to fight? "Yes! She needs to know what she is capable of! All her life people have told her that she is worthless and "protected" when what she really needed is a way to let her figure out all that she can do. And of course I care if she hurt---do not even go there---but she needs to know that she can take care of herself and not have other people treat her like a broken little bird," he responded. "Away from me From what I hear from Marina, you are the one who poses a threat," he continued.
Then Phillip went onto say that he had been researching things over the last ten years, mainly how their society worked and what kind of changes there could be. "If that is your way of threatening a coup, I would disregard that notion. I know the Alpha wolf and he would tear you apart," Trenton stated. He was about to say more when the werewolf barelled on, saying that encouraging Marina to tell him if he was hurting her while feeding wasn't the best way to get her to tell the truth and that he knew he had hurt her and that Trenton probably thought of himself as some sort of saint as well as mentioning something about Twilight. The vampire let out let out a scoff. Him? A saint? Hardly. Hell, Marina had accepted the worst of him---being Jack the Ripper---and he still couldn't believe it. Not that he would tell this dog that.
"Of course we are Elders. But when it comes to wolf policies, I am respectful enough to bring it to the Alpha's attention," Trenton answered. "And that is exactly why you are the outsider here. You have abandoned your species. The wolves I know and fought beside are loyal to each other to the end," he said in response to Phillip's statement of not being part of their society. "We will keep the peace as long as we are able and know this, if the peace is ever broken it will not be by me or at my command," he continued. Again, Phillip mentioned things would soon change and Trenton rolled his eyes. "I told you before the Alpha rip you to shreds if you planned a coup but whatever. It is your funeral," he told him. At least he could say that he had tried.
At Philip's question, Trenton turned his head slightly. "She told me," he replied. At Phillip's statement that he didn't know how wrong he was and that he didn't have those capabilities, Trenton's eyes flashed and that she had wanted it when they had slept together. "Marina tells me everything and she told me that you two slept together. She had no idea what was happening to her or why she had turned into a werewolf, so yes, you did use her for your own purposes," he spat out, barely keeping his features normal.
Trenton let out an unncessary sigh. This was getting exhausting and ridiculous. This fight was going nowhere and he was getting hungry. He turned to go only to turn back when Philip stated that he didn't care about his Queen or their rules. Trenton growled as his features changed. That was it! He had had enough of this dog disrespecting those he cared about. Without another thought, Trenton lunged at the werewolf.

'So that means putting her in a situation where she can either succeed in exactly what she's capable of or get seriously hurt? You're a foolish and arrogant bastard that you think you already know what's best for her, and very maybe, you have a point, maybe I did react impulsively, but even then that would only be because I care.' Philip said as he kept his eyes locked on Trenton as he smiled again, with some smugness with it at the same time, after some of his hostility in his eyes went down a bit for the moment. He laughed and then snapped his fingers in the air for a moment once Trenton remarked that as far as he noticed, Philip was the one that posed a threat. 'Exactly!' He said as he grinned and then pointed at him. 'I'm a threat for you, and you can deny it all you want, but in the grand scheme of things, we wouldn't be here, and you wouldn't say that if you didn't.' Philip said before shrugging his shoulders and looking momentarily at his "friends" at more of a distance around him with a laugh, and then looking back at Trenton in front of him again.
While putting his hands back into the pockets of his leather jacket and not even noticing the sound it made anymore, he started laughing again shortly enough, when Trenton took a guess at what Philip had meant with what he had been finding out and researching and about the local Alpha. 'Daryl? You may actually be right about that, it is quite uncommon for the things that happen in his pack, but honestly, their evolving, something I'm actually for.' Philip said and smirked devilishly with that. 'Because believe me Trent, I have no intention of starting a coup against them, nor you, because even if I did, all I had to do was sit back, wait, and then watch.'
Philip looked a bit intrigued with Trenton's admission that he respected wolf policies enough to bring it to Daryl or one of the other Alphas of that pack attention. It kind of let a question arise in his mind, one that he was certain that he was going to ask. 'It will not be by you, nor at your command? Can you really tell me that with certainty? Because if I'm right, which I know I am what is going to come, if you look closely enough, I can tell you now my so totally not friend, you'll have to choose where your loyalties ultimately lie, I know you and Diana are friends, you even used to be more, naughty Ripper.' Philip added as he shook his head again with that same smirk on his face when he was trying to hit him, or explore his weaknesses, know thy enemy right?
Philip shook his head again with a sarcastic laugh at first and then a one in a bit of disbelief before looking around and then back at Trent and shaking his head. 'Honestly I never doubted it.' He said calmly with a raised eyebrow before cocking his head to the side a little too as he was talking about the fact that Marina had told him about how she and Philip had slept together. 'And you believe that so easily, Marina is confused, the transitioning went hard for her, but listen to me carefully, if I had wanted to use any kind of control over her, I would have stopped her from turning completely and running after her tail.' He said nonchalantly with that kind of smile before shrugging his shoulders again. 'And of course it was for my own purposes, come on Leechy! We both know this, I want Marina back, I will get her back, and if you knew Marina, you'd be sure too that if there wasn't a tiny part at least that wanted it, she'd have resisted, and I'm not Reginald, I wouldn't do that to her.' Philip stated plainly because he saw that as the truth and had narrowed his eyes to convey that message as clearly as possible.
Then the moment came Philip had been waiting for all this time, the move that Trenton would make if he was truly getting under his skin, he knew that Trent might not have the best of tempers, but like stated before, even with everyone around them ignoring the growing fight for now, this wasn't really going along with the rules Trent made either, yet it still seemed Trent worth in some way, and how could that not show that Trenton saw him as more than a nuisance or a simple danger, this was just more personal than the vampire wanted to admit yet, all because of his ego Philip figured. So when Trenton lunged at him, he kind of caught him and looked him straight in the eyes before growling and shaking his head as his own features changed to the semi-transformation. 'I'm going to enjoy this as long as it'll probably last.' Philip said threateningly but also mysterious before he gripped Trent tightly by the collar for a moment, before sending a kick directed at his stomach while at the same time letting him go in the hopes off sending him flying as much as possible, but he didn't underestimate the vampire either, not at all.

Diana had just wiped her mouth from feeding on a volunteer when a messenger came into the room and looked at her with worry in his eyes, while Diana's eyes mostly showed him to just give his report if something was up. When she heard what the guy started telling her about Trent at the club where Philip was reported, she narrowed her eyes after rolling them then dismissed the messenger and after that the volunteer. 'Damn it.' She muttered to herself as she quickly grabbed her leather jacket, put in on and then flashed out of the building toward the address.
It didn't take her much effort at least to get in there and as she walked more inside, her eyes scanned around while she let her senses do the searching for her for where Trent was or where Philip might be. Of course the stench as she found it from Philip drew into her nose quite a bit sooner than actually recognizing Trenton's familiar smell that she knew all too well, just like his features when she spotted it, and then sighed as she saw the too together. It was just a second after that she thought before Trent lunged at Philip and she cocked her head to the side as she saw Philip's attempt at countering her vampire best friend. When a guy bumped into her and seemed to be going to try and do something about the growing fight, Diana stopped him and looked him over before she pulled up her eyebrows shen she noticed he was a human, before looking him in the eyes for her compulsion on him. 'You didn't see anything, you didn't get lucky enough tonight, and you want to go home and rethink your life.' She told him clearly before she nodded for him to go and watched him walk off, before looking back at Trent and Philip. 'I love a bar/club-brawl as much as the next one, but come on.' She mumbled while shaking her head about the guy what he had been thinking, so started slightly looking for if there were any other idiots around too.
At that moment Diana already figured that she probably would have to intervene, but right now didn't really seem the right time yet either, and she wanted to see if Trent was indeed already beyond the point of stopping himself from this, as Diana already thought for 90 percent mostly at the way she saw hoe Trenton's body was and the look in his eyes with his features changed. And was it really so bad that a small part of her was actually curious to see how much this Philip was actually capable of? She didn't really worry about Trent, so she thought it would be a good thing to analyze the werewolves moves and everything for a moment, while also judging Trent a little in the process, and also figuring out the best way to proceed when she was going to get in between this, before someone decided to make it a big deal and report it to Daryl or someone as something Trent did or something.

Trenton wasn't really sure what he was planning to do to Philip once he laid his hands on him besides beat him to a pulp. The dog had gotten much too bold and had crossed the line by insinuating that he and Diana had acted improperly with each other. They were merely friends, nothing more. Always had been, always would be. Besides, what did he know about loyalty? He had left his pack and was apparently refusing to obey their laws. Surely Daryl wouldn't mind the death of a rogue.
As they fought, he had thought he had heard someone starting to approach them, probably intending to break up the fight---something that was incredibly stupid by the way---you didn't get involved in a dispute between a vampire and a werewolf. Not that whoever had started to approach them knew this, but still. However, they were apparently stopped by a female voice, telling them that they didn't see anything, hadn't gotten lucky enough, and that they wanted to go home and rethink their life. Diana? he thought, momentarily distracted. What was she doing here? Then he mentally shook his head and refocused his attention on teaching Philip a lesson. He was going to show him who really deserved Marina and why....
