"I am perfectly capable of gathering information, I simply do not care for irrevelant information." she replied, shaking her head. She was aware that there were several Alpha's out there, however none of it truly mattered to her. As far as the dogs were concerned, she did not need their help. The help she required was angelic as well as vampiric. She needed her own people to accomplish such a delicate task yet she found the situation here to be less than ideal. Standing unnaturally still, Lidija weighed Diana's words against her own needs, finding that she did not care much for what the woman had to say. There were obvious flaws in her plans, co-existing being one of them in her mind. They would never become a true species, they would never be accepted as what they were, and one day she would learn this all too well.
Lidija laughed softly, shaking her head at Diana. "My dear, I have never thought that. Your own insecurities, your own fears have led you to that conclusion. If I were truly better than all of you, would I be here now? Why would I even need to ask for your help? I am extending a courtesy to you, a choice." she said, remaining calm for now. "If I wanted to force you to help me all I would need to do is prove my origins to the european covens and then you would be made to listen. Yet I come here asking, kindly. So far the only person who has shown any grace here is your angel." she said, turning her gaze to Marina. Now she could see why Trenton was drawn to her to begin with, now she finally understood it.
"There is more going on in this world than just what happens here in LA. The Werewolves will be the least of your problems. Let me ask you this; have you ever fought an Angel? I have and with all my power I have never been able to wound one. Imagine this for a moment and then picture what happens when hundreds of Angels are joined in the same cause, wiping us out." she said, letting that image sit in the queens mind. "Your "daughter" is right, you need to focus less on this tiny corner of the world." she said, sighing. "As for you, Trenton. I will never be able to sway you, but one day you will see that what I did saved you. I gave up everything for you, to keep you safe. Memories, my coven, my sanity." she said, her tone firm.
"The way you fight to protect what is yours, I respect your claim to leadership. However your inability to see when your hostility isn't helping is rather lacking. " she said, before resigning herself to the fact that she would have to share in order to get what she needed. "I spoke to your daughter because she is the reasonable one, the bridge between us. I knew that it would be impossible to say what I needed to say with you preent right then. You're right however, no more secrets. The reason I seem to know all of these things, the reason I do as I please is because I am the first." she said, lowering her head a bit as if ashamed of this information. "You are all my children, at any given time I feel you, all of you. When your light goes out, I feel that too. I care what happens to you, that is why I am asking now for your help. I do not require your trust, only your understanding." she said.
"If you help me save everything we hold dear from the wrath of a renegade angel, perhaps then I can convince her mate," she said, pointing at Marina, ".. to spare Trenton." she said,. "I have already gone back on my word to restore what was taken from Trenton. My life is on the line as well. I need the three of you to find a way to get me into hell. Only then can I figure out how he was bound and how to put him back to sleep. Only your daughter has the power to pass through to the hell realm without harm."

Diana sighed deeply as she closed her eyes mostly and stood there, taking in what Mari said like that and how she had to remain calm to not yell at her or something. She did however glare at her a bit strictly, for once putting her foot down clearly. 'I get why you don't want her to come looking for you again, but that's what I'm trying to do, stop all this behind our backs stuff and manipulating, but you going in against me and wanting to stay only makes me look like a fool Mari, just go with Trent, and stay with Robert until I get back!' She told her strictly and telepathically as she looked at her. She understood, that's what she said, but she couldn't handle both Mari going in against her, still being a bit mad at Trent and lidija telling her how she did so much wrong at the same time, not now.
'There is not information that's irrelevant anymore, this is an information era, and it isn't less that for us than it is for humans, you might think it is irrelevant, but I know that it isn't.' Diana said clearly to how Lidija stated that she was good at gathering information, just not what was irrelevant, she did however say it a bit more calmly, but still not letting herself be treated like a child that did things almost right but actually screwed it up with lack of a better description right now. 'No.' Diana said quickly and clearly when Lidija stated that she had never thought that, and that it was Diana's insecurities that drew her to that. 'You know, I might be suspicious myself, might have a temper, but I'm not taking all the blame for this, not for that, because don't you hear yourself? You might just give it as an example, but bringing up the European covens as a threat, from someone like you, that can't be taken any differently than a threat, don't you understand?' Diana asked, still somewhat calming herself down as much as possible, but also standing by her own views. 'That's mostly because you scare the crap out of her, and Mari has been through enough, she's even going through enough right now, and you doing all this in YOUR way isn't helping at all.' Diana said as she shook her head, with a short look at Mari and then back at Lidija.
Again Diana shook her head, rolled her eyes and then looked back at the other woman. 'So now I'm also unreasonable? Would you just for a SECOND, look at yourself and listen to what I'm about to say as an explanation for my behavior.' She said as she sighed in an annoyed way but still kept her voice as calm as possible. 'You come to town, you already start acting mysterious and dangerous I might add, at might club, toward my daughter who was already having a hard time, to only just disappear and then sneakily talking to her behind my back, without even TRYING to just talk to me directly like a normal person, no, you had to twist and turn it, talk to her behind my back, something I can't handle after the stuff her dad pulled on her behind hers and my backs! You manipulated Trent, to save him you say, and I might even believe you, but can you honestly blame me for taking all of those things as a threat to begin with? From a newcomer that talks and acts all high and might and keeps secrets until SHE sees fit to tell them? If you had come to me directly, just tried, I would have been suspicious yes, I would have needed time to think, yes, but I wouldn't have just shoved you aside and not listen, but the way you choose to do it, that's a way you can't, you just can't, blame me for my reaction and hating you and distrusting you.' Diana said as she frowned as she just couldn't understand how she could just put all of this on Diana, as if she overreacted too quickly, as if she couldn't just think reasonably and negotiate and do diplomacy. 'And if you cared about us, if you can feel that, then from the moment you saw me, how couldn't you just have noticed that I would do anything to protect our race? To protect Mari? Why do it in a way that only gives off suspicion and then talking to me like I'm a child that just barely didn't do what she should have?'
Diana bit her lip for a moment, as she looked down and tried her best to remain calm to Lidija's statement about saving everything they held dear and what she said about Mari's "mate" and sparing Trenton. 'You don't get it do you? What the hell do you think I've been doing the last few weeks? Months, even years maybe, since that whole four horseman o the Apocalypse crap, I knew that there was more coming, all those evil omens and stuff, they always come in pairs, or even more, I knew that there was more coming, and I still do, that's why I'm also trying to make us stronger, not just a temporary solution for now, but in the long run too, because those mongrels you keep mentioning with so much hate? Right now they would be MUCH more able to defend themselves and fight if they had to than us, multiple Alphas, a werewolf/witch hybrid child? And then not to mention that there's someone worse out there after Mari, convinced he's found an artifact that can turn about anything into a werewolf.' She sighed and then raised her hands for a moment to wait with going in against her or something. 'But even with me taking a stand right now, I do seriously consider helping, but I will not postpone my own plans for making our species stronger, and most importantly of all, any dealings we will do, will go through me first and primarily, I can be reasonable, but you have to be upfront with me, give me a chance at least.' She stated clearly because that had really been the biggest reason for reacting like this every time, the way that Lidija had only definitely made sure that Diana couldn't react any other way than suspicious and violent because of that.

Out. He had to get out. He just wanted out. He had to take Marina and go. But where? Where could they possibly go? They needed a plan. As Diana laid into Lidija, Trenton began to walk away. He had to get her away from all of this, he had to keep her safe. As he did so, he could hear his friend refuting everything the older vampire had spewed out at them. "Come on, Marina. We need to get out of here. You are not safe here at the moment," he told her, as he went to pull her even closer. He had to take her away from Lidija so that he could keep the angel safe. I am going to take her some place safe, Diana. Do you need me to come back? he asked telepathically. If she did, he'd come back after making sure that Marina was safe, but if not, he'd stay with her...if she allowed it of course.

'I'm sorry, Mother. I let my temper get the better of my judgement.' she said with contrition in her mind voice. She visibly ducked her head as she spoke mentally, her face showing concentration as she spoke with Diana mentally, she blanched at the revaluation of what Philip wanted and hugged Trent closer. The idea of being a werewolf terrified her. "I don't want to be a werewolf." she murmured softly.
She nodded to Trent, after all, she was in his arms and she didn't want to add to a tense situation, "Good evening, Elder. I think you and my mother have a lot to discuss." she said gently. At least now Lidija could see WHY Mari hadn't wanted to speak with her without Diana there. It just added to the tension and Diana's views on things were radically different due to her position. Mari couldn't promise anything without causing problems. Still, it did not hurt to be polite. "Whenever you wish to leave, Trent." she said softly to him as she tried to get comfortable in his arms. She was tired and trying to sort things out.

"Different perspectives, I guess." she said simply in reply to her "threat" about the European covens. She did not see it this way, yet she supposed the idea that she could be destroyed didn't sit well with anyone in power. Still, she came from a time when a display of power was the most direct way to get what you wanted. If she wished to take something, she would have done so without bothering to show herself. "I apologize if it seems like a threat, but if I was going to take what was yours or stop you I would have never come out of the shadows." she said simply. What was painfully clear was that they would never see eye to eye, yet that would not stop Lidija from going after what she wanted through the coven.
Lidija laughed, shaking her head a bit as if she couldn't believe what Diana just said. "I scare her? Believe me, I am more afraid of her than she should be of me. Even if I wanted to harm her, I'd never be stupid enough to try." she said simply, clearly amused by this. If she continued to do this, she would be here all night, which would be no good for the other two. Diana was right, her intentions were cloaked in shadows from the very first moment they met, but for a very good reason. In the past when the others learned of her true power, the abilities that lay in her blood, and what she could do for them they rose up against her. They tried to take what she had by force, she would never repeat that same mistake again.
"To reveal everything put my life in danger. There is much more that I carry than old grudges, something that could very well help you along in your quest." she said, but she remained vague as to what it was. She wasn't going to give her such a gift unless she was pleased with what help she could manage to get from them. Still, it seemed she was sincere in her words at the very least. Most vampires in a position like this worried about staying there while she worried about keeping everyone else alive. There was a long silence in which Lidija's body twitched as if something was trying to come to the surface. For awhile she stood very still, fighting back the being her body played host to, before glancing back up at Diana.
"Fair enough." she conceeded, giving ground to Diana. While she would never fully admit that she was right, she recognized the need to survive against the others who would wipe them out. "What is it you plan to do to keep up, exactly? If you let me in, perhaps I could assist in making the process a bit faster." she said, tilting her head to the side as she seemed genuinely curious. "I have a few gifts I could impart to whatever this secret plan of yours is." she said.

When Diana heard what Trenton asked her telepathically, her eyes went to him, before she looked back at Lidja and sighed softly. 'No, I want you to take her to Robert, and stay there with him until I return, we have to set matters straight upon that return.' She told Trenton directly telepathically, before she stepped closer to Lidija again and tilted her head to the side. 'You are probably right.' Diana said calmer now when Lidija remarked that it was probably because of different perspectives. 'It did, but things tense like they are these days, everything comes off as a threat from an outsider, I know for a fact that the more quiet and secretive, or even just simply small, the bigger and more annoying problems they can cause, and your "way" of going about, could do nothing else but trigger that.' Diana told Lidija, before shrugging her shoulders and looking shortly to a random spot before looking back.
'Than at least there are a few things we can agree on.' Diana retorted simply when she was guaranteed that Lidija was more afraid of Mari than she was of her, and that she would not dare to try and harm her. 'Yet people forget, that underneath all of that power, all of those responsibilities, Mari is still a person, still a good part human, one that never got the chance to blossom, to choose, and I'm just getting sick of people above, below, or whatever, coming up and presuming to know what she should do, to use her for their own personal gain, and I hope, that if others are listening, they understand that at some point, enough is enough.' Diana said, as her eyes shortly wandered off to the sky a bit. She just couldn't stand it anymore, and even though it wasn't as she had thought with Lidija, she still wanted to bring the message across, and if someone else who had to hear it, heard it, that would only be better in her book.
A sigh escaped Diana's throat and mouth once again as she let the words go through her head and think about it, how she could maybe best put her pride aside as much as she could, if it would help her, but just like Lidija made sure to let shine through with how vague she kept it, neither of them would make anything free to the other. 'I guess it just depends on how much the other can gain from it I guess right?' She thus asked with a small step forward again as she made a calm hand gesture with her hands. 'Hmm... I have to admit, assistance from you might be useful, but for now, I think I'll keep my plan on the down low, because it will require me to do things... Not all my of my inner circle will accept.' Diana did at least let that be known as she looked straight at the other in front of her, before again tilting her head to the side. 'But I will also tell you this, as a sign of starting negotiations, simply put what I'm planning to do, is make us evolve, to bring our next generation forward.' Diana said as she grinned while saying that and forming one of her hands to a fist for a moment in how she determined she had gotten by now to put that plan forward into motion more, because she also still didn't really see another way. 'There is however one thing I would have to ask of you, in case it has to be said since he is a werewolf, stay away from Philip Ravid, he's a loner, but one that is up to something and... He claims to have possession of several ancient artifacts, scrolls and tablets, and to know what is going to happen to this city, to us.' Diana shared with her as her eyes were narrowed while thinking about it as well.

Okay, it was officially time to leave. He didn't want to spend any more time in Lidija's presence than he had to after what she had done to him and thankfully, Diana had assured him that he didn't need to come back. Good. Because I don't think I would've been able to handle facing her again, he thought to himself. He wasn't sure if he was ready for that. After all, he had a lot to answer for and he knew it. He had no doubt that Diana would be paying him a visit later tonight and laying into him some more...not that he could blame her. He had acted like a pouting child when he had been in the wrong. He'd be lucky if Marina or Diana decided to forgive him. Speaking of Marina...Come on, Bella. Let's get out of here before things escalate, he said mentally and then, he moved along quickly, intending to use his vampire speed to whis her away. As soon as they were at Robert's, he was going to do everything that he could to even start to earn her forgiveness...that he deserved it....

Sighing softly she let Trent zip her over to Lovelace Manor. Her eyes closed during the trip to keep from hurling all over the place. In short order Robert had the blood cleaned off her neck and she was resting on the couch. If he had anything to say he kept it to himself, focusing on Mari for the moment. Whatever his thoughts were Trent wasn't likely to find out given how he'd been behaving.
For her part, Mari rested quietly not saying anything, curled up in a blanket with a warm cup of broth that she sipped from to help calm her nerves. Setting the bowl down she looked at nothing in particular. Her eyes looked sad and she bit her lip.
