OOC Takes place about a night after the "Stronger" thread.
IC Trenton looked around the park, critically looking at the people who were starting to leave. The sun had just gone down, which meant that families were heading home. He let a cruel smile grace his features as he locked in on a young girl about sixteen. She had short brunette hair and was wearing a purple sweatshirt and black jeans. Well, it would appear that she is all alone, he thought to himself. It was perfect. She was just his type: young, naive, eager to please...easy mark.
The vampire walked up to the girl as the last family headed out of sight. "Hi," he greeted smoothly. "Hi," she said warmly. "It's dark out here. Do you have someone to walk you home?" he asked in feigned concern. However, he was just making sure that there wasn't someone else he would have to look out for. There was nothing he hated more than being interrupted. "No I walked here. I'll be fine. My house isn't that far from here, which is why my parents didn't mind me coming here alone," she replied. "Are you sure? It is pretty dark," he commented and he saw her face became a bit nervous. Ah yes. I have hit on something, he thought to himself. "Let me walk you home," he suggested. "Yeah that might be a good idea," she agreed. With that, they started off. Trenton waited until they were long out of earshot of everybody else and then quickly pulled the girl close, covering her startled yelp with a hand. He then tore into her neck savagely with his fangs, holding her with one hand while pulling a knife out of his pocket with the other. Once he had had his fill---and the girl was dead---he cut the spot he drank from, mutilated the girl a bit as had been his custom in the 1880s and then looked at her analytically. What else could he do? This was his homecoming debut and he had to make it special. After all, all of his girls in the 1800s had been works of art. How could he do any less today? Hearing a rustling sound, he turned around and let out a warning snarl as he let his true features show. This was his kill and he wasn't going to let anyone steal it from him. No one. Not even Diana....

She'd mostly been sitting under a tree staring into space for the better part of the day when she wasn't finishing her paperwork. It was hard for her to find interest in much of anything nowadays. She felt adrift and lost and found it hard to focus unless she had a task to do. That was why when she heard a dying scream she instinctively sprang into action. Teleporting in she prepared to draw down on some villainous evil. It was too late to save the poor woman, her spirit was staring dumbly at her mutilated corpse, but maybe she could confront her attacker.
That was when she realized who it was "Whoa, Trent. Sorry, didn't mean to interrupt your...whatever it is you're doing..." Okay that sounded lame even to her. What was she going to do? Turn him into the vamp cops? As if. The mess made her a bit queasy truth be told and the smell was vile. Human bodies were not meant to be opened up and exposed to air. How could he stand it? "Wow you must have one hell of a stomach..." she said as she turned away and tried to slowly back away and not throw up. So much for the kick ass angel entrance. "I'm just going to send Maggie on to the proper place don't mind me...." she said weakly as she looked at the ghost and sighed. It didn't take more than a nudge really and she was gone.
"I'm just going to head out now. Have fun with your...entrails hanging or whatever it is...is that her spleen??" she asked dumbly, "Don't answer that I don't want to know." she broke off and tried to back off some more.

Trent was so intent on his victim that he almost didn't notice when Marina came to stand in front of him. However, he just glanced at her as she apologized for interrupting him. "It does not matter to me," he said. He tried to focus on the girl he had been torturing but Marina continued on, asking questions and from the sound of it, she was starting to feel a bit queasy. But he really didn't care. All he cared about was finishing what he started and the girl was getting in the way of that.
He turned to her as she finally said that she was going and started to back away. Oh, no. She does not get to leave, he thought to himself. He had been in the middle of working and she had interrupted. Her blood was calling out to him and he never left witnessess. He was not sure if he would actually kill her, but he could feed from her. It was about time that he did. He had been denying himself her blood so long and he was long overdue for taking what was his. "Where are you going, Marina? The fun's just started," he said and then instantly he was right next to her. "Easy, girl. This won't hurt but a little," he said as his face changed into his true features and he bent down, fangs extended, planning to bite and drink from her.

Diana's patience was wearing more than thin by now with Trenton as she was working toward things, she was trying to save them, make a better existence for all of them, and all he was doing was being the selfish ripper more and more that she could find fun for a bit, but not now, not like this, and not as much as she was starting to get reports of as she had enough eyes watching Trenton the more she heard. And then there was what she knew herself after all, the way Trenton was feeding off Mari, something she didn't like at all, a part of her might understand, but that was completely not enough to do away with the fact that he was getting on her nerves. This was something Trenton of all people didn't really get done that easily with her, but he was now.
Having decided to be the eyes that watched him for once too, also because Diana was sure somehow that Mari was going to be involved with something with him, even with all the crap going on recently, she had followed him from quite a distance and yet still keeping as silent as she could be, using the shadows to hide herself and keeping an eye on him just in case she had to use some mind control on him to make sure he didn't spot her. The whole scene that had transpired she had been watching, with narrowed eyes, which narrowed even more if possible when Mari joined in, not sure if she should be making her move yet.
Still even from this distance and with Trenton in this state, she could easily enough spot what was going on in him, and when he heard what he said to Mari while bending down and how his features changed, Diana didn't doubt a second longer as she raced over in a flash of her fastest vampire speed, as she grabbed Trenton firmly and ran along a little more from Mari away as she pushed him hard against a tree with her hands quickly around his collar. Her own face to her true features and her own fangs showing threateningly, she almost growled at him warningly and sharply with almost a fire of anger burning in her eyes. 'ENOUGH!' She almost hissed in commanding tone while locking her eyes with his. 'How many more times in a short time do I have to stop you from doing incredibly stupid things Trent!? Open your eyes!' She yelled as she pushed him against the tree even a bit harder. 'Mari, go home or at least stay back, you understand?' Diana asked with a quick and strict glance at Mari before quickly looking back as she did before at Trent.

Trenton drank greedilly, letting the woman's blood course down his throat. Whoa! I had forgotten how good her blood tastes, he thought to himself. Why had he been holding back so much with her? She had no say in this. He was the vampire, and he was the one who was supposed to be in control, not her. As he continued to drink, he could feel the power coursing through him and he loved it! Now this was what he was supposed to be doing! Torturing, killing, feeding...being a vampire! He had forsaken his true nature for so long and it felt really good to be back. Soon, the town would be raining blood and everyone would know that the Ripper was running Los Angeles. He was the Vampire King and there was nothing anyone could do about it.
Without warning, he found himself being pulled back and being pinned against a tree. "What the hell, Diana!? Let me go!" he growled, flashing his fangs at her. Why was she doing this? Couldn't she smell the sweet blood coursing through Marina? Couldn't she just taste it? Why would she stop him from taking something so rich and sweet? He wanted it so bad! Then Diana began berating him, asking him how many times she would have to stop him from doing something incredibly stupid as she pushed him against the tree again. It didn't really hurt him since he had just fed, but it was getting annoying. "Stupid? Embracing our nature is stupid, Diana? Have you gone soft? We're predators! Killers! We've let humans, dogs, and celestial beings tear us down and weaken us for far too long! We are King and Queen of our species and we should be making this city rain blood!" he hissed, his eyes flashing angrily. Why couldn't his friend see that they needed to take total control back and why was she protecting Marina?
Then, Diana turned her attention to Marina, telling her to leave or stay back. "Yes Marina, go back to your dog. I am sure he will only be glad to screw you again," Trenton spat out as he attempted to free himself from Diana's grasp. If he could just get away, he could go Marina again and get more of her sweet blood. That's all that mattered, the blood...

She felt Trent wrap her in his embrace and felt his fangs sink into her neck. She jerked from the pleasure buzz it caused and moaned as her eyes began to flutter close. A part of her realized he was in ripper mode and she instinctively reached out to try and raise his humanity. It might not work right away but it was worth a try. "Trent..." she said as she felt a breeze blow past her and lift him off and away from her.
She felt dizzy and instinctively did her best to clean off the blood that ran down her throat. Dabbing at it with kleenix she looked at the two vampires arguing, "This is my fault. I won't run away. I made him angry. I did this." she said loud enough to be heard. "I don't want Philip! I told you that was a mistake. I got turned into a werewolf. I wasn't in my right mind. What do I have to do to convince you of that?" she asked as she flinched at his sadistic words. She couldn't bring herself to be angry at him. Sad for what he had done but how could she blame him.
Everything in her life was falling apart around her. She really didn't know how to fix it. Her wounds were healing up and she tossed the tissues in the trash as she dug around in her purse for some antiseptic wipes. Using them to clean off the last of the blood off before turning back to Trent, "I've never made you go against your nature. I've asked you to think and not act impulsively. Something that is just common sense, Trent. I don't know why you suddenly started thinking I'm trying to ruin your life." she felt his rage and his hunger pelting her, "When we first started to date I told you there would be times you would be angry with me and that you might grow enraged and want to hurt me. You swore to me you would never be that sort of person. You swore you would never hurt me or act anything like my father but you ARE. He murdered people to hurt me and now you are doing the same thing. You're beginning to turn into him, Trent. Can't you see that?"
She hugged herself and ducked her head, "The first step is telling yourself that someone else made you do this. That other people are keeping you from what you want. The second step is you start hurting people to get back at others. The third step is hurting the person you're really angry at."

For quite some time now she had been stalking Trenton, watching his every move. Curiousity drove her to follow, to see what he would do with his knowledge, and he did not dissapoint her yet. There was a sense of pride swelling in her, watching Trenton turn back into the monster she had saved from the fire. For too long had he suffered such a terrible fate, the fate of living a lie. Lurking somewhere in the distance, the only reason she seemed out of place was because she was dressed like a rock star in the middle of the park. A dark button up that was only really buttoned in the middle, exposing her stomach, leather pants, and tall leather boots. While it seemed a bit stereotypical, she enjoyed the comfort it provided, since being absolutely nude was not entirely acceptable anymore.
"He cannot help what he is. This is what he was meant to do, this is his purpose."
Her voice echoed from the darkness as a pair of silver eyes peered out at them. She was thoroughly amused by the events taking place here, so much so that she would do nothing to intervene unless she was asked to do so. It was unclear however who she was here for, as she seemed to do as she wished most times with no real allegiance to anyone. "Trenton is a killer. A killer who I provided the tools for greatness so that he may carry out his work for centuries." she said, sounding quite proud of what she had made him; one of her cursed children. Lidija chuckled as Trent gave his little speech, he sounded exactly like she had when she spoke to Marina in the cafe.
"If you stay, he will kill you, that I am sure of." she said softly, folding her hands together and placing them at her front. To be quite honest, she hoped for just that, she wanted Trenton to drain her dry so that she was no longer a distraction. She would do her best to see that happen, though things were going to become tricky with Diana present. Diana had a coven, a collection of vampires at her disposal to come down upon her if she wished it. While Lidija was strong, she couldn't take on a whole coven by herself, not if they decided to come at her at once.

Diana gave Trenton a sharp and pissed look when he was so shocked by her intervening and how he told her to let him go. 'No! Right now you're lucky that you're my friend, that I asked you to do this, to take this job, otherwise I would have killed you already, but you have to stop!' She said as her voice became louder the further her sentence continued on. At the same time she did smell the blood that came from Mari, the blood Trent had been feeding on, the blood she knew herself she should stay away from, thus why she kept blocking it out, completely letting her focus be on Trent and keeping him motionless and in her grasp.
Diana's eyes grew wide when Trenton began about how it wasn't stupid, how it was just following their nature and the rest of what he said, before her eyes narrowed and she pushed him against the tree once again and tightened her grasp around his collar. 'You stupid... Stupid son of a bitch... You've been listening to her, you've been letting her get to you...' She said as she looked in his eyes, looked in his head at the same time then shook her own. 'You became King because I choose you! I made you because you were my friend, I trusted you! And now look at you, you've become exactly the thing we both been fighting for!' She about screamed for a moment before she gave him a knee in the stomach then threw him a bit more away from Mari and quickly went back to him. 'But what kind of Vampire King let's himself be played? Let's himself be turned in a mindless Ripper again, with everything you have!' She yelled as she worked to grab him again and look him straight in the eyes.
'No!' Diana then yelled as she threw a glance at Mari. 'You stop that! Even with Philip, Trent doesn't have the right to this! This isn't your fault Mari and you better stop thinking that!' She told her sharply before her eyes shot back to Trent. 'Stay back, Mari. You can't trust him like this, I don't trust him like this, if things get too messy, just go, go and leave me, you hear me?' She continued quickly to tell Mari in her head as she looked at her sideways. Just as she looked again to Trenton, Lidija's voice draw through to her and her eyes narrowed again. 'Lidija... You do not have the right to be here! I knew from the moment you showed your face around her that you were going to be a pain in my ass! You should stay away from my friends and from my daughter!' Diana yelled and hissed at the same time toward Lidija as she tried to follow her as good as possible through the shadows, hell, she'd used that trick herself often enough after all.
'Let me make myself very clear..' Diana started then as she looked toward Lidija after purposely ignoring as much as possible of her speech about Trent and how proud that had been. 'I always knew there was more to Trenton, hidden for some reason, hidden by someone stupid that didn't see who he could also be in the inside, even without being a ripper, I just never knew it was some skank with psychotic tendencies.' Diana said while she was so pissed off that her features and face were now mostly just to her vampire side. She shook her head, deciding to stop focusing on her for a moment and looked Trent straight in the eyes again. 'Look at her Trent, look at her! Your letting your sire, that changed you than made you forget tell you what to do, you're letting her control you, you're letting her make you turn on me, on Mari!' She said clearly and keeping her eyes locked on his. 'We're not like she wants us to be anymore! We're better! This world isn't the place to be just simple predators anymore Trent, you know this! But you've been screwing up! You're letting Philip get under your skin, you're screwing up with Mari because of your damn pride and seeing her as your possession, and on top of that you're letting psycho bitch treat you like a lapdog! Be a man and grow your balls back!' She told him that last part firmly as she punched him in the face then locked eyes with him again.
'It's up to you Trent, you're putting yourself in this, you're letting things, Mari, me, slip away, just because your sire shows up and Mari is a human being inside that makes mistakes! But if you make me choose... If it comes down to you, that bitch, or Mari, you know damn well what I'll choose, and you might be a out of the closet ripper, but I know for a fact that if you push me, I will kill you.' She told him clearly, before throwing a glance at Lidija again. 'And whatever happens, either way I will find a way to kill you.' She might have a disadvantage her, but she still in no way was she going to let Lidija intimidate her, or let herself be scared, she was Queen, and she deserved to be Queen. 'We've been through so much, I trusted, and somewhere still do, with my life, with Mari's life...' She said that last part softer but more clearly at the same time. 'You're my brother Trent, don't do this to yourself, don't let her do this to you. And don't make me have to do this to you...'

Trenton let out a growl when Diana stated that she wasn't going to let him go and that he was lucky that they were friends. "If you're going to kill me, do it already," he sneered. Really? What kind of vampire would waste time monologuing when they had their prey in their grasp? But for some reason, Diana wanted to "reason" with him. If their situations were reversed, he wouldn't been so merciful. But wasn't that just the main difference between them? He was finally being strong and she was staying weak. And she called herself the Queen of the Vampires?
Apparently, Diana didn't like what he had to say, as she pushed him against tree, her hands tightening around his collar even as she yelled at him for listening to Lidija, even as he felt her presence in his mind. "Stay out of my head, bitch," Trenton warned with a growl, as he used his own power in an attempt to force her out. His thoughts were his own business and no one else's. He didn't want her seeing what he had been as a human---just a fool who had let a pretty girl seduce and turn him---and he didn't want to see how he was so weak that he allowed his memories to be erased. Then, he grunted as he felt her knee in his stomach. He tried to get his bearings back, but she had grabbed him again before he could do so, reminding him that she had chosen him as Vampire King and asked him what kind of king let him get played and turning into a mindless Ripper? At her words, Trenton deflated and he could feel everything that he had pushed down coming back up.
Trenton smirked and pushed some of the returning feelings back down as Marina told Diana that everything had been her fault. Well, he couldn't exactly argue with that. She had gone off running to the dog. He rolled his eyes as Diana told Marina to stop blaming herself. "And who should she blame, hmm?" he queried. "Come on, Diana. Admit it. You hate that she comes home smelling like dog. If we had never made that truce, we wouldn't be having this problem right now," he continued.
Then at Lidija's scent, Trent snarled. What was she doing here? He didn't want her here! He mainly just wanted Diana to let him go, but obviously that wasn't going to happen any time soon. When Marina continued, saying that he was turning into Reginald, he froze. Was he truly? He knew how much hell the man had put Marina through and he had sworn that he would never do that to her. Then he gave himself a mental shake. Who cared? He didn't! He was a predator! A killer! He just needed to push everything back down again and things would be okay.
Then Lidija spoke up, saying that he could not help what he was doing as it was in his nature and that it was his purpose. Trent snarled, baring his fangs at the newcomer. "Stay out of this! This has nothing to do with you!" he snapped. He did not want her here! Not that he was about to admit to Diana, but still...He snarled again as she continued, stating that he was a killer that she had made. "I said 'Stay out of this'!" he growled, as he attempted to move past Diana so that he could lunge at the older vampire. Where there had been nothing but emptiness before, hate was now residing. He hated this other vampire with every fiber of his being and he wanted to destroy her! However, it appeared that the vampire wasn't listening as she told Marina that she would be killed if she stuck around.
Trenton snarled at Lidija even as Diana went off on the woman, saying that she had known that there had been something hidden in him by someone who couldn't even see him even without the Ripper part of him and that she hadn't expected it to be someone with psychotic tendencies. Trenton looked at Diana. She was one of his oldest friends. Why was he fighting her? As Diana continued, saying that he was letting his sire---who had messed with his head---ruin everything that he held dear, that the world wasn't the way that she wanted it and that they weren't simple predators anymore. "You're right," he said softly. What had he been thinking? He had always prided himself on assimilating and changing with the times, and now he was just mindlessly hunting and ripping people apart because he was jealous and had gotten his feelings hurt? How stupid was that?
Trenton's shoulders slumped as he listened to Diana who reminded him that it was up to him and that if he pushed things, she would choose to protect Marina as well as killing him. He then let out a small, soft laugh as she threatened Lidija before turning back to him, saying that she still trusted him somewhat with hers and Mari's life. "I couldn't handle it, Di. Everything just piled up too fast," he admitted in a voice that was for her ears only. "I...I didn't want to hurt," he told her and then grinned at the word. Brother. Yes, he had often called himself her brother, but had no idea that she had done the same. With an uneeded sigh, he slowly let everything back in. He needed to feel it all: the love, the hate, and most importantly---the fear. She took my memories, Di. Everything about me, she stole. Let's get that bitch out of here and away from Mari, he thought in a bit of a plaintive voice, attempting to enter his friend's mind. Hopefully, she'd let him, but he wouldn't blame her if she decided to block him after everything he had said and done.

Diana's eyes grew wide for just a second when she heard Trenton tell her that if she was going to kill him, she'd better just do it already and then shook herh ead. 'Kill you? And let you get off as easily as that bitch would, or better yet, will when she's got no use for you anymore or when you're not fun enough for her anymore? I'm your friend Trent, I'm not your sire with a god complex!' Diana sneered back at him with a serious look in her eyes that were still pretty much spewing fire. 'You can't keep me out Trent, you've never could, even under her spell and as her lapdog, there's a part of you that keeps a small enough doorway open for me to your mind, a part of you that knows that you're being a stupid jackass that should just grab his balls out of his purse!' She almost bit out at him out of anger when he told her to stay out of his mind, in which she had already seen quite a bit since she tried anyway. She had however snapped her fangs at him for a moment with the name he called her, something he should know was one of the things that really pissed her off when someone called her that, especially someone she cared for.
'We all have pasts we wouldn't rather think about Trent! Hell i know! All these years I've been lying my ass off, against you, against Reg, even against Mari! I know every single detail of how I came to be this, and believe me when I tell you that human Diana wasn't worth that much to begin with! I never dreamed of being Queen, but now that I am, I'm not going to let you, or her, stop me from making sure that we're an actual species, instead of just another predatory animal species.' She continued and now hissed at him, a bit softer though because if she could do anything about it, not everyone had to hear that part. But she had to tell him though, let him know that she had seen enough in his head, that she knew what a part of him was struggling with, and letting him know that he most definitely wasn't the only one with that problem.
At the exact moment Trent dared to ask her that who Mari should blame, her eyes narrowed and she looked even more straight into his eyes, if that was even possible, than before. 'Philip, but honestly right now? You.' She told him honestly and bitterly because the way he was acting lately was something she wouldn't stand for anymore, she wouldn't let him be this way and mostly not because of that damn Lidija, and most of all not around Mari. She wanted the two of them to get together, to get married, for Mari to stop doubting herself, but the way Trent wa handling things lately, only made that hope seem farther away than it had before. 'Seriously? She's made you doubt the truce? Because between you and me Trent, you were holding on to that better than I was, but we need it, if we turn against them, we will die, we will all die, look at the advantage they have? At how many of us that child of theirs would be able to kill even before we might be able to kill her if we threw everything at them? I'm trying to stop that, but we still need that truce, and if things go south, I was actually hoping that you'd at leat keep the truce safe.' She told him, before she sighed in a clearly dissapointed way and shook her head like that. 'Don't you see Trent? Philip isn't the issue that caused all this, Philip is a result of the crappy job you have been doing with Mari, it's Mari!' She yelled as she looked at him and bit her lip. 'She doesn't know what you want Trent, she does her best, all she's been doing is her best, but look at what guy I let her raise her? So if you continue to want to blame someone, it's either Reg, but morei mportantly me, but I'm trying to make up, and the least you could do, is talk to her, listen to her, ask what she wants and for god's sake tell her what you want! Because if you continue being like this, it will be the last thing and time you'll ever get to say anything to her or lay your eyes on her.' She told him in a soft voice again to make it mostly just hearable for him.
As Trent told Lidija multiple times to stay out of this, it was actually exactly what Diana wanted, it was exactly what he wanted the bitch to make her mistake on, to think that her way of Trenton would keep on going, as if Diana hadn't shown Trent enough throughout all that time that they knew each other who he could better trust, the friend that had always been there for him, or the psycho bitch sire that left him to wonder all that time and then come back to use him. 'Yes! Yes I am! She told him quickly qhen he told her that she was right, and looked at him as she listened to the rest that he told her. 'No, you let it influence you, you let yourself see it as a weakness, because our feelings, our humanity only becomes just that when we let it, and she abused that.' She said before biting her lip and looking at Lidija through the corners of her eyes, since she had caught up with Trenton when he had lunged at her and grabbed him again, but not letting her guard down around her. I know that she did, and she made ample use of it, but it has been enough, she's gotten her fun, now let's keep her away from Mari, get you cleaned up, and then make sure we take everything from her. She told Trent as she looked at him and then let him go with one hand to keep that up for him to grab it, as a sign they had done before of that they were in this together. 'I've never let you down.' She told him before giving him a nod, because when he'd take her hand, she'd let him go so they could work together on getting Marina out of here, although with how she had opened her mind for a moment for Trent, it was probably obvious that she was way too tempted to actually stay here herself a bit longer to continue her "chat" with Lidija.
Which made her make the choice of after that turning around and facing Lidija some more already. 'I want you to go with her to Robert.' She told Trent about Mari, because she'd rather have Robert around the two of them for a moment until she could join them. 'I think I should sticck around for just a bit...'

The insults and screaming were flying fast and furious. Mari's still mostly human form could barely keep up. She'd never seen vampires go at it this nastily before she whipped around and he accused her of coming home smelling like dog, "I never did that. I got called to heaven when I woke up the morning after my transformation. They healed me after everything I went through and I barely remember anything!" her lower lip trembled and she blinked, "I know things happened but I don't remember it really. They said no one should have to remember something like that..." her mental voice trailed off, "I tried to tell you that and I'm sorry things happened even if I can't remember them. I wasn't going to lie and go "Well gee, I know something happened but you know I was kind of out of it and can't remember so it doesn't count." I'm not that way. I accept that I did something and it hurt you and I'm sorry for that."
She wanted to cry. She couldn't with Trent's mother which is why she had the conversation telepathically with him but it weakened her to do it. She was tiring and didn't know what was going to happen next.
While Diana and Trent fought she watched Lidija, the truly dangerous one. Mari's eyes were sad. It was obvious she at least was clueless to part of the conversation. She tilted her head as Diana told Trent that she would take her away from him if he didn't get his act together at the rate he was going Trent wouldn't have to worry about Logan. Then the conversation shifted and Diana told him to take her to Robert. Confusion on her face as she looked between the two.

Lidija watched as they had their exchange, mildly amused, she even stepped into the light to join it all proper. She, however, did nothing when Trenton once more turned his harsh words and rage towards her. It seemed they would continue to be suspicious of her, despite her never raising a hand towards them, not even her voice. "Are you done?" she asked simply, her tone cold as ice. Lidija would take all of his rage, all of his hate, but she would not suffer being told what concerned her or not. "All of this concerns me, none of you would exist if it were not for me.." she said, offering a sigh. Oddly enough the sigh sounded almost like sorrow, however, she did not care what they thought of her burden or her existence truthfully. The monster inside used her to create all of this pain, suffering, and the least she could do was try to fix it all which was what she intended to do.
Respectfully she waited for them to finish their family drama before she spoke again. "You told me to stay my hand and I have.. for now. As a show of good faith I choose not to raise my hand against those flea ridden mongrels any more than I have. There are things I need from the three of you, however." she said, her expression remaining blank. Taking another step forward, she figured her requests would be met with rejection, however she would ask first. "All I need from you is help, that is all, however there is much danger in what I ask." she started, clasping her hands together in front of her. "I understand that the two of you resent me, for reasons that you do not truly understand. There is a bigger picture here. I did what I did to save you Trenton, even if you cannot trust what I say. There is one out there who would see you dead to keep you from her," she said, pointing at Marina.
"You have no reason to fear me taking what you have either. If I wanted this I would simply find you both while you slept and drag you into the sunlight." she said, making it clear that she was not affected by the light. "You can even confirm this with your "daughter" if you wish." she said, winking playfully at Marina. Several days prior they had a little chat in a tea house, one that she assumed Diana was still not aware of.
"I am asking, not demanding you to help me. If you wish to hear what it is I am doing here, I will linger. However, should you turn me away, I will go for now. I will be forced to aquire what I need through other means and that will force me to have to give something in return.." she said, turning her gaze towards Trenton. "..that is just the way things are."

Diana could pick up a few things even if she did not really want to from what Mari told Trenton telepathically, mostly because Trenton was open for her again and Mari never really blocked her intentionally, but right now things were different, she wasn't sure yet of anything and she wanted to be sure that this bitch hadn't implanted some secret Trojan horse into Trenton if she trusted him again now. When she noticed Marina's surprise when she told her where to go she looked at her again and narrowed her eyes. 'I mean it, I don't want either of you to stay around here, at least I know that with Robert you'll both be with someone I trust, and then maybe the two of you can actually talk, listen and say what you actually think to each other.' She said as she mostly looked at Mari but also at Trent.
Diana's eyes drew back to Lidija and she raised her eyebrows when she heard what confused her about that without her, none of them would exist. 'That's probably true, but that doesn't change anything, I mean not all parents are good, not all parents accept their kids, some abuse them, some marry them out to a man that just wants you for food, then decides to turn you to be his pet, only to underestimate you from being able to kill and then take revenge, it doesn't matter if you're responsible for us existing or not, it depends on how you are now! And you're stuck in a past that doesn't exist anymore!' Diana told her as she frowned and shook her head as she thought about it. 'For an ancient you aren't very good at gathering information are you? Those flea ridden mongrels as you call them are growing by the month in numbers, have more Alphas than the usual packs and have the next step in their evolution in their midst, news flash, right now they are ahead, they are going the direction that we should be going, move on, evolve, yet here you are, from day one as I knew you would, preventing me from getting that done because you can't let go of the old days or whatever.' She said annoyed as she rolled her eyes and looked away momentarily, before frowning confused and looking back at her because of the part where she told them that she needed the three of them to help with something. She quickly moved more in between Lidija in front of her and Trenton and Mari behind her when she noticed that Lidija put another step forward. 'Not them, not right now, they are out of this and are going to resolve their own issues! And what could you possibly need our help for? The impression you've been giving me, you are SO much better than us right?' Diana asked confused and at that point still a bit hostile.
Eventually Diana took a deep breath, yet still didn't let her guard down for even an inch as she kept her eyes locked on Lidija. 'Sunlight is overrated.' Diana stated simply to how Lidija found it necessary to let them know that she was unaffected by light. Diana's eyes grew wide and pissed again for a moment before going over her shoulder shortly toward Mari, also to check if they were already leaving or not. 'I knew you'd go talking to her sooner or later, I just hoped you weren't going to do it sneaky behind my back.' Diana said as she looked back and bit her lip as her eyes narrowed again. She quickly shook her head when Lidija stated that she would otherwise leave for now. 'No! We're having this conversation now! I know you might not see me as an actual Queen or whatever, but from day one you've lied to me of not causing problems, yet here you go, talking to my daughter behind my back, manipulating my best friend after you just left him without his memories of where he came from! So, your Ancientness, if you expect me to even consider helping you, you're going to come out with it, no more secrets.' She told her clearly and making sure it relayed the message that she absolutely wasn't in the mood to negotiate about that.

Trenton knew he was being an ass, but right now, he just didn't care. The only thing he cared about was getting back to Marina and her sweet blood. It was calling to him and he wanted it. Though, he had to admit, Diana's comment about Lidija using him until she was tired of him did strike a chord within him. Maybe she was right. No! He couldn't let himself get distracted. That's all Diana was---a distraction. Then, he fumed as she told him that he couldn't keep her out as there was a part of him that there was a small part of him that kept himself open to her, flashing her own fangs at him for calling her a bitch and to his chagrin, Trenton could feel him shrinking back a bit. Diana's temper was legendary which was why he had always tried to avoid inciting it. But now---well, let's just say it wasn't looking good for him.
Then Diana reminded him that they all had pasts that they didn't like to think about, using herself as an example, saying that she hadn't been worth much and that she had never even dreamed about being a queen and now that she was, she wasn't going to let anyone mess that up. "At least you've had your memories this whole time! I just now got mine back and I was truly nothing! Just a drunken, whoring layabout that brought shame and disgrace to my parents and family. I was the kind of human that would have been better off never being born," he spat out, his eyes shining with pain. And that was the hardest memory that he was dealing with: the feeling of wanting to die as the agony of the change had warmed over him and being disappointed when he discovered that he was too weak to even die properly. Honestly, who would want to remember something like that?
Despite himself, the male vampire dropped his eyes in shame as Diana told him that the only one to blame was himself. She was absolutely right. He had been feeling like he had failed Marina when he had chosen to go after the Hell Hound rather than getting her out of harm's way, and even though he could blame Phillip or Marina all he wanted, the only one at fault was him. He was the one who had screwed up, not them. "I know," he murmured when she was done berating him. What had he been thinking? How could he have hurt Mari like this? She was always so good to him, even when she should have run away screaming.
The feeling of shame deepened as Diana mentioned the truce, reminding him that it was needed and that he had actually been handling the alliance better than she had, which caused Trenton to look up at her in surprise. She had been having a hard time with the truce? How come she hadn't told him? Oh, he understood perfectly well why she hadn't told him him recently, but how come she had stayed silent for so long? And she was also right in saying that they needed to keep the truce safe. "You are absolutely right. I have been a fool," he commented. I'm sorry. I was an ass, I should not have been, he apologized. Then, he turned his attention to Marina, even as she mentally apologized yet again, insisting that she had never not done anything with Philip and that the other angels had healed her. It is I who needs to apologize, Bella. I have hurt you so many times, and I am so sorry, he added. Hopefully, both women would recognize his sincerity.
Then, his eyes flashed Lidija spoke again, stating that she had not made a move against the werewolves after their talk, which he was grateful for, but he was sick of her butting into things that had nothing to do with her. However, he decided not to not to answer her, but he tensed as she stepped out into the light so that they could see her. As Lidija went on, stating that she was requiring help, he looked at Diana and subtly hook his head "No". He wasn't about to team up with the vampire, no way. "If there is trouble coming, you had best tell us now and we will be the ones to take care of it along with the rest of the Elders here," he stated. Then, he let out a scoff. "I don't understand my reasons for resenting you? You turned me, erased my memories, and then left me to my own devices. Not even I was that irresponsible or cruel to one I had just turned," he spat out. Had this vampire lost it or something? He had every right to hate her and to want her dead. Which he did.
When Diana reminded him that Marina was doing the best she could even though she didn't know what Trenton wanted from her, he let out an unnecessary sigh. The things I want from her, she does not desire. And I will not force my hand. Better for her to hate and doubt me than to have her resent me from taking her choices away, he responded silently after her tirade finished. There was no way he was letting Lidija hear this confession. If she found out that he wanted to marry and turn Marina, she'd try to twist it to her advantage, and he wasn't about to let that happen any time soon. He didn't want Marina to be hurt.
When she was finally done, Diana released Trenton with one hand and he went to squeeze the offered hand, even as his eyes darkened with determination. Let's get it done, he said. At the instruction, Trenton nodded in agreement. Yeah, Robert could help them protect Marina and if this vampire could walk in the sun, they would need all the help they could get---even from the werewolves. Lidija began speaking once more, but Trenton ignored her as he went to Marina's side. "Come, Bella. We have to go...now," he told her softly, his voice stressing the urgency even as he reached out to scoop her into his arms. He just had to get her out of here. He had to get them both away from LIdija before he lost it and did something incredibly stupid.

"Don't talk like that, Trent. You were worth something. If you hadn't been SHE wouldn't have turned you." Mari said gently with a glance at Lidija, "You obviously meant something and were important."
Mari looked at what Lidija, "You mean?...." she blanched as she looked the creature over her, "Is that why you're a day walker? Because you made all the vampires?" she asked as she paled at the thought of a legendary vampire, one that Trenton and Diana were pissing off. This was not going well, "What is it you need, Elder?" she asked quietly. She didn't want to risk pissing this one off.
"Its pretty well known that Logan hates him and his actions have done nothing to help that. That's what I've been trying to explain to him. That there are reasons he needs to stop and think. Logan is probably going to make me leave here because of this. Trent proved Logan right." she said with a tired sigh.
'I understand your reasoning. And you had your reasons. Things did happen even if I can't recall the specifics.' honestly though she didn't trust him any more. He had treated her in ways she had sworn she would never let happen again. 'You let Philip and Lidija play you. I didn't want to believe what Logan said about you but everything he said you would do you did. You turned on your family at the slightest sign things weren't what you wanted. You need to stop being so impulsive or it will kill you. We will speak on this later.' she said softly to him mentally.
She massaged her temples softly, 'If you're lucky I will get the chance to talk to you before I'm forced to leave. There is much we need to talk about and frankly it has nothing to do with Philip and everything to do with you and your wants. There is more to you than you think and you need to learn it before its too late and you destroy yourself.'
"We need to stop and hear her out. You two are screaming at her and each other and me. Why don't you stop yelling for once and bloody listen? Cor, you two are acting like rebellious teenagers. Do you really think an Ancient vampire has nothing better to do than take over your sandbox THINK!!!" she called even as Trenton scooped her up, "AFTER she has had her say I will leave but not before." she said firmly.
