"I'm fine. I just need a few moments to get better. Its nothing." she said softly as she tried to keep herself balanced and tend to her injuries. It was rather disconcerting to try and change and have someone trying to hold a conversation with you. She sighed as the red welts began to slowly fade and she exhaled.
"Trent, no!" she jerked away from the blood and winced when a drop fell on her thigh and burned her, "Trent, don't it hurts." she said as she tried to turn away from him and get the drop off of her, "I can't feed from you. My body won't let me." she tried to say as gently as she could. She didn't want to hurt him. "I'm an angel. I heal on my own."
She hated having this conversation when she was naked. It put her at a complete disadvantage. Logan had laughed at how modest she was but it was hard not to be when you grew up the way she did. Her face was crimson as she turned her back on him, using her hair like a cloak and pulling some forward to cover herself with. "I don't.. I'm not..." she stammered, "I don't like being naked in front of other people can you just turn around?" she asked him, she grabbed more of her hair to shield herself, her back being revealed to him, and a very old mark softly showing as she moved to try and find a better position to be in.

Trenton didn't believe for a minute that Marina was okay. From the smell of it, she was far from all right. However, he flinched at her desperate tone and was surprised to smell a burning sensation. When she explained that her body wouldn't allow her to accept his blood, he looked at her and then gave her an apolegetic look. "Sorry, Bella. I know you have told me that before, but I never thought it would have this effect," Trenton apologized. He couldn't believe that he had caused this. He had always promised to not hurt her and here he had just done so.
When she requested that he turned around, he obliged and turned around. After his mistake, he was only too happy to make her feel more comfortable. "Tell me when you are decent please," he requested.

"Its not your fault. Its not like we really talked about it." she said as she wiped herself off as best she could before she got changed. She reached over and quickly began changing into the outfit that he kept on hand for her. Making sure to stay away from the mirror so he didn't get a view from her reflection. Straightening the dress she sighed softly, "Can you zip me up?" she asked hesitantly. She really didn't know where they stood and she didn't want to impose.
She grabbed a brush and began to make sense of her hair, trying to get it back to some semblance of order, "I keep making mistakes with you. I'm sorry for hurting you." she said sincerely as she looked at him, "But that was why I didn't ever want to be a vampire. I can't be one." she said it as gently as she could to him. "It wasn't because I didn't understand what you wanted." She ducked her head softly as she exhaled softly.

Trenton nodded in agreement when Marina said that it hadn't been like they had talked about it. "This is true," he agreed. They had never talked about it, not really. So, he guessed that he couldn't be blamed for not knowing what would actually happen. At her request, he reached out for the dress to zip it back up. As he did so, he noticed that her back had a distinctive mark. "Now, when did I mark you here?" he asked. He didn't really recall doing this, but he had a feeling that it was part of his past.
When she apologized for always making a mistake with him, he let out a sigh. "No, I am the one who keeps messing up. Not you," he responded. "And I am the one who keeps hurting you," he continued. When she told him that was the reason that she didn't want to be a vampire, he nodded. "I understand. Your body would never survive the change," he said. And if Marina were to die, he would be devastated. "I will not ask this of you again. I promise," he promised her.

She looked in the mirror and blushed before he zipped her up, "We've both made mistakes, Trent." she said as she turned and looked at him, "Mark? My boyfriend in high school..." she looked at him wide eyed and flushed crimson. "It was you?" there was a tentative tone to her voice and she took a few steps towards him as if she was trying to piece something together. She held a hand out as if to touch him, part of her just wanted to cling to him and kiss him but she didn't know if he would allow it.
"I'm sorry for not saying something sooner. I didn't know how to tell you." she said with a blush. "There are so many things I don't know how to explain. I'm sorry if I made it sound like I didn't care about how you felt. I just knew I couldn't be turned." She wanted to hug him she felt so odd with all the revalations she'd gotten.

Trenton nodded as Marina stated that they both had made mistakes. "Me more than you," he said. And this was true. He had stuck his foot into things so many times when it came to Marina. And yet, she forgave him so many times. How could she be so forgiving when he was constantly hurting her?
Trenton's brows furrowed in confusion when she mentioned a boyfriend in high school who had marked her. What? I marked her when she was in high school? he wondered. He barely remembered doing that. As she stepped forward, Trenton could see the look of uncertainty on Marina's face as she approached him. "Bella," he murmured. Well, it would seem that he had marked her twice.
Then, he shook his head as she once more apologized to him. "No, this wasn't your fault. You probably had no idea what to say or how to explain it," he responded. "I am sorry you felt that you could not tell me that you would be harmed by my blood," he apologized. That was something big and to think that she didn't feel that he would understand something like this...it practically killed him.

Shaking her head she sighed, "No, Trent. There are parts of your memory you can't recall yet. I've tried helping you but it will take time and I understand that. I've also got gaps from our time loops not having caught up from one another."
Smiling softly she went to hug him as he said his nickname for her, attempting to nuzzle his cheek, "I didn't want you to think that I blamed you. I didn't. Its just some weird thing about our species and even I don't understand it. I want you to remember about us. To know what our history is before we talk about marriage or anything like that. Its not fair to talk about it when you don't recall everything just yet. I do like being with you but I just want to make sure you have your memories and know who you are. I also don't want to do something that makes me have to leave."
She sighed softly, "I'm sorry I'm not good with words. You've been hurting about so much I was trying not to add to it." she closed her eyes and rested against him lightly.

Trenton nodded as Marina reminded him that there were parts of his memory that he still didn't remember and that she had been trying to help him, though she knew it would take time and that there were still some things that she didn't remember because of the time travel. "I understand," he murmured. And he did. It had to be hard trying to figure out everything like this.
When she went on to explain that she didn't blame him and that she didn't know what it was about her species that made things the way they were and that she was waiting until he got all of his memories back to tell her. "I understand completely, Bella," he assured and then smiled at her when she apologized, saying that she wasn't good with words and that she hadn't wanted to add to his stress. "I thank you. I am sorry things have been piling up on you," he apologized. The last thing in the world that he wanted was for his mate to feel overwhelmed. It wasn't fair to her...

She relaxed a bit more, the tension in her body leaving a bit more as she stood there with him, hugging him gently as long as he allowed, his tone helped sooth her and her trembling eased with him, "I want you to get your memories back. I don't want to rush you and I don't want to cause problems for you." she said softly as she looked up at him, "I seem to be saying the wrong things all the time." she ducked her head gently, her hair down completely and obscuring her face as she stood there in the background next to him.
"So...what happens now?" she asked softly of him. She didn't want to presume anything and with how chaotic their lives were could she really even do that? It had been three months. For all she knew he had met someone else. She didn't track him at all apart from a few twinges she felt from him now and then. Her life had been work, sleep, work, maybe eat if she thought about it, sleep if she could and more work. She'd gotten another Masters and a PhD. while she had been dating him in the last ten years. It had given her something to do and gave her a break from being burned out.

Trenton smiled softly as Marina said that she wanted him to get his memories back at his own pace and that she didn't want to cause problems for him. "Thank you," he said softly. How come he was so lucky to have a woman who was always willing to help him and fight for him when he continually put her through hell? By all rights she should've given up on him long ago. And yet here she was, showing her concern for him just like always. He really was lucky to have her. So how come he always screwed it up?
When she asked what happened next, he shrugged. "I do not know," he admitted. "There has been so much going on within myself and I do not feel as though I know who I am anymore," he confessed. And that was the truth. He felt...lost...adrift. And he just didn't know what to do with that. What was he supposed to do? He wished he knew.

She smiled softly, a hint of sadness in her gaze, "You're welcome, Trent." she blinked and looked down softly, "I want you to remember who you are because its important. For you, for us. I remember what happened now but its only been like a day since my memories returned and I wanted you to remember on your own."
She went to hug him if he permitted, "You are more than you think and not as bad as you think. I know because I was your guardian angel. The night you were turned I was helping a woman in the village give birth. I didn't know what had happened to you at first. I had never seen vampires. You said you'd gotten sick and then it was that you were busy with things. Back then, things were different. Women didn't question what a man did excessively. I assumed you were sewing your wild oats. I didn't pry because you seemed so reluctant to discuss it." Gently she hugged him if he allowed. Trying to let him see that she still had faith in him. Still wanted him to know she cared.

Trenton listened as Marina said that she wanted him to remember his memories as it was important for them both and that she had just gotten her own memories back, and she wanted him to remember on his own. "I want to remember as well, but what if I remember that I am not a man worth loving?" he wondered. That was what scared him: that he would remember being some sort of monster and Marina would give up on him. He would not be able to take it if she decided he was not worth saving anymore.
She hugged him and assured him that he was not as bad he thought something she knew as she was his guardian angel and had been assisting a birth the night he had gotten turned, and didn't recognize what had happened to him. "You---you knew me back then?" he asked in surprise. That was---amazing. "But why didn't you tell me when you first remembered? Were you araid of me?" he asked anxiously. That was something he could not bear. He did not want to be frightened of him. He wanted her to feel safe and know that he would never hurt her.

"Wether or not a person feels worthy of being loved verses being worthy of being loved is two totally different things, Trent. I have never felt worthy of being loved myself and I'm a cupid. Trust me when I say this. I think you are worthy of it even if you aren't sure." she said firmly as she looked him in the eye.
"I was too busy trying to process my memories, Trent. I could hardly tell you when it took a while for me to remember. As for being afraid of you back then; I didn't know you were a vampire. I'd never seen one and as far as I knew you were yourself. You didn't hurt me. You just claimed you were busy a lot and I didn't question it." she admitted as she shrugged her shoulders gently. "Don't worry so much, okay?" she said softly as she looked at him.

Trenton let out an unneeded sigh as Marina told him that there was a difference of feeling worthy of love and actually being worthy of it. "Yes, I know," he agreed. What she said was true, though he disagreed with her own assessment of herself. She was definitely worthy of being loved, even if she didn't think so at times. But, on the other hand, that was merely a result of how she had been raised. Heaven knew that Reginald hadn't treated her properly.
He then nodded as she told him that she had been trying to process her own returning memories and that she couldn't very well tel him when she was confused herself. "That makes sense," he stated. And it did. After all, how could she expect to help anyone when she wasn't sure what was going on herself? "And I will try not to," he assured when she told him not to worry. He was glad to hear that she hadn't been afraid of him. If she had been, he wasn't sure what he'd do....

She hugged him gently. She could tell he was thinking about what she had said and tried to relax as he spoke to her. She really didn't know what to do next, she was in his home after all. She'd not had time to pack and honestly while she did understand what he had done she really still had work to do. "This all will pass, Trent. We've got time to figure things out. Don't let it bother you." she said as she looked up at him then slowly pulled away if he let her. She just didn't know what he wanted. He'd spent four months being a jerk to her and she didn't know what his moods were like any more.
Not to mention the fact that they hadn't curled up or anything since before Logan came back. She sighed and ran a hand through her hair as her mind tried to figure things out, "We should probably get out of the bathroom." she pointed out as she began straightening up and putting the first aid kit away and tossing the cleaning wipes. Never let it be said that she didn't know how to clean up after herself but Diana had been right. She didn't know what to do about Trent. Not that she pigeon holed people but with his "I hate you I love you dance." she just didn't know what to do.
Shrugging she turned to go into the other room, she had work to do and if Trent wasn't going to give her anything to go on she would have to do something productive. She needed to triangulate where Pyriel was and see if she could find him. She wanted to give Trent time to talk but standing in the bathroom like a noob was just not cool.
