She walked down the corridor where team members had taken rooms and looked behind her to see if Logan was following her. It was daybreak and although most people should be awake she knew that at least she needed to rest. But first she needed to get Logan settled in with his old things. The house seemed to know she was coming because when she opened the door to his room everything was clean and neat. Probably not how he preferred it but the house was a neat freak. "This was your old room when you lived in the Manor with us. You wanted to look after me you said." she said the last with a flush of her cheeks as she looked over her shoulder to get a glimpse of his features and see how he was taking what she was telling him.
She flipped a switch and a desk lamp came on to give a bit of light to a darker area of the room, "I didn't pry or anything just let your parents collect what they wished but they left me to deal with some of your things. I think there are a pair of jeans and one of your shirts if you want. I think there are some pajamas but I don't know." she blushed crimson at the thought of going through his things.
"There is a bathroom right there and it has a tooth brush and all the things you'd need. We cleaned it but didn't really disturb anything I guess I wasn't ready to go through it all." she felt awkward. How could she explain what being alone had been like for her? She hadn't realized he filled that part of her that helped her stabilize out just by being her rock.
Standing to the side to let him in she folded her hands in front of her and looked down at her shoes, "I should let you rest. You may need to meditate or think on what has happened. Please let me know if you need anything, Israfel." she said softly as she stumbled over his angel name and tried to make him feel welcome without hovering (literally!).

Nothing about this room seemed to trigger much of anything for him. If anything at all he felt a strong aversion to this place, as if there was something here he did not truly wish to remember. Glancing around at the belongings she claimed were his, he felt no connection to anything that he laid his eyes upon. Walking past her for a moment, he picked up a ragged brown book, something he used to read over and over again. The book depicted an indepth journey into hell from the mind of a mortal, something he was once fond of he supposed but now that he knew better he cast the book aside as if it were nothing but a piece of trash to him. He was more eager to get to work, though he understood that Marina needed to rest, her body was not the same as his.
"Hopefully they found whatever it was they were looking for." he said, lifting up what appeared to be a small bag. Inside of it was a worn PDA that seemed to contain several dated files on people; Claire, Cruise, the usual suspects. He had never gotten a chance to truly update these much as they went to work back in his mortal days, but now it was apparent that he was a healer then too. There were so many things about that life that he couldn't recall, yet there were also random bits of information that did flash in his mind like some sort of disjointed story book.
"It doesn't matter much, Marina. These things are just that; things. They are no more mine now than they are yours at this point." he said, making a gesture around the room. "If you wanted something from here I wouldn't even object, I have no clue what most of it should mean to me." he said with a look of confusion on his face. It would probably sadden her to hear that, however he was far from the mortal man Logan, as they called it, and he was not sure if he would ever regain any of the thoughts, memories, or personality traits from his former life.
"I'd rather not stay in this place. It confuses me, makes me feel like there is something I should remember, but I do not. If you wish, I can spare myself to watch over you as you rest, if you would like. It is a dangerous world right now and I can sense a growing unrest in you." he said, shrugging his shoulders softly, as if he was readjusting some sort of invisible mantle. Her comment about the clothing had not gone unnoticed however, blending in was probably a good idea. Lifting his robe over his head, he felt no shame or embarassement as he started changing into his old mortal clothing as they talked, giving her almost no warning or time to flee.

She watched him with curiosity as he examined his old life with complete disinterest. She remained silent as her senses picked up his complete detachment with what he had once been. She bit her lip nervously as she tried to process what she was picking up from him. Glancing about the room she noticed his attachment to Dante's Inferno for some ironic reason. She figured it was kind of like why she had been a devout Catholic. You found faith of the father that worked for you and stuck with it. Accuracy was something that no human would truly know about.
"I don't know. I'm not sure...you never talked much about your personal life and I never pressed you. It didn't seem like a comfortable subject." she said gently as she tried to figure out her place in all of this. "You tended to keep your private life private. I respected that. But it meant that I did not know your parents well." She could barely recall what they had been like. It was hard for her to think back on that time. She had functioned but barely. And as soon as they were gone she'd cried herself to sleep on his bed and stared off into nothing.
Marina blinked away tears and bit her lip, "They taught you life lessons. They ARE important." she said softly as she tried to figure out how she should feel now. She still loved him regardless but it seemed as if he was completely detached from the only way she had really known him. It confused her and she didn't know how to articulate her feelings. Shifting slightly she put her hands at her sides and shifted her weight from one foot to the other. "Your old life helped you to be there for me when I needed healing or support. It may not have been always comfortable but it put you where you needed to be and was planned for by the Father."
"I would like that if its not too much trouble. I think it would help ground you a bit and stabilize both of us. I am trying to comprehend everything you have told me and reconcile the person you were with the being you are." Alright so maybe she could articulate better than she thought. She was starting to get the hang of this dealing with his emotions and talking to him simultaneously. It had a certain fluidity to it if she just stopped worrying and let Father do what he would in his own time. She supposed the house would materialize a bigger bed, or another bed. After all what was he likely to do? He was completely unaware of bodily needs or desires at this point and there was little chance of him finding such things if he kept this mindset.
Marina turned her head away as he changed, and tried to move to the door, "It is not proper for me to be here while you change. I shall let you finish unhindered by talking to me." she couldn't handle all this, her body was mortal and she couldn't deal with everything that was going on. She ducked her head and put her arm up to block her view as she grabbed for the doorknob. Turning it she went to leave with her embarrassment emblazoned on her face; Flushed and nervous.

With his shirt over his head, Logan continued to talk despite being muffled by the fabric. With all his grace and power he had no idea that he was putting the shirt on inside out. This didn't matter much to him, but it would be goofy to anyone else who noticed such a thing. A grown man who could not properly dress himself, that was always worth a chuckle. "They were important, you mean. Their job is finished now, I am exactly where I was meant to be now." he said as he pulled the pants up to his waist. Turning to look in the mirror, Logan would see nothing wrong with his appearance at all.
"I'm still the person I have always been. I was simply held back by my mortal flesh before, now I am truly complete." he said, laughing softly at her comment. He could understand that she would need some time to piece everything back together but that was fine. For now he was simply happy to be here, happy to be serving his purpose, and to everyone who knew him they could tell something was wrong. As he was now Logan was more like an obediant puppy than he was a sentient being. Something had been done to him, something he had to overcome somehow if he was ever going to return to anything like his former self.
Placing a hand on her shoulder, he laughed at her modesty. "There is nothing to be ashamed of. These forms were made to reflect his glory, they should be a thing of admiration. You do not have to turn away." he said as he looked up and down the hall now. He had no idea which way now she wished to go, what else she might wish to say or show to him. In the back of his mind he could feel that someone else was present, someone much like them. This raised a bit of curiousity, however he was fine with leaving that for the morning. He could see that she was quickly becoming overwhelmed, she was still mortal after all for the most part.
"Lead the way, I shall follow you. I have.. no memory of this place at all." he admitted, which would probably only sting more. There were faint shimmers of it, but that was about it. His mind was working over time, trying to mend the changes to it as his Angelic healing was constantly trying to restore what was lost by it's own initiative.

"Come here, Israfel. Let me help you with that." she muttered as she went into his drawers and pulled out underwear, then went into the bathroom to get deodorant and cologne if he even wore any. She didn't make a habit of being intrusive but now she found herself taking charge and it was a very odd sensation. "You put your shirt on inside out you goofball. You may be as you always were but you need to relearn how to dress yourself. That much you do need to try and remember."
"That may be true but society says its wrong to stare at naked people." she announced as she looked at him and groaned, "Alright first lesson...How to dress yourself. Father give me strength..." she muttered as she moved closer and tugged off his shirt. "First, you put this..." she held up a stick of deodorant and uncapped it, "On under your arm pits. This helps keep body odor at bay though you should bathe at least once a day to stay clean. Hygiene is important in modern society." If need be she would lift his arms and apply the deodorizer herself before looking at him, "Next, The shirt goes this way..." She set the shirt to rights, "The tag goes in the back on the inside of the shirt like this." she said as she showed it to him then put it on over his head, helping him get his arms through the proper holes.
Looking at his bottoms she decided in for a penny in for a pound. "These go on in an order too. Take those off." she said then waited while he did so. Holding up a set of underware she showed them to him, "Just like your shirt, these go on with the tag on the inside in the back. You put these on first. They make sure to keep everything in the right place. That way when you put your pants on..." she held up his pajama bottoms, "You don't get your penis caught in the wrong spot. Also, tag on the inside on the back or the left hand side. If there is a drawstring it goes in the front..." she talked as she worked with him. Going into a mindset that was more clinical than romantic.
"In order to function in modern society even a little you need to work on remembering who you were. You remembered the things that helped you function easier in this time. We are going to have to work on jogging your memory a little bit." she said with a soft sigh. She needed a hug to reassure herself everything would be alright but for now the knowledge that he was here would have to do.
"Follow me..." she said with a soft sigh as she lead him to her suite of rooms, past the office to the sitting room and beyond into the bedroom. Looking at him she went into the closet and pulled out a sleeping bag and pillow. Granted it was pink with flowers on it but hey ya can't be picky. Setting it out she unzipped the huge thing a bit after putting it down and placing the pillow on it, "There. You can sleep there. I'll be a moment. I need to get ready for bed..." she said as she slipped off to change. She came back out in her own pajamas, modest and understated then crawled into her bed and settling herself a bit.

Israfel laughed, had they really become so modest that even the human form had become taboo now? The world around him was far different than he remembered it, people used to practically be naked all the time. No one cared, no one even looked twice. There used to be great community celebrations after hunts, there used to be festivities, people got along better. To basically see it all undone was disheartening to him, he loved the humans during those ages. Things changed however and it was this fact that they all had to learn to understand. That was the fathers greatest gift, that everyone, and everything could be whoever they chose to be.
"They don't make all the rules. You should ignore that one, you are perfection, whether you choose to believe it or not. There is nothing wrong with your form, my form, of the form of the person to your right and left at any given time." he said, stubbornly refusing to accept this ideaology. As she helped him fix his errors, he simply stared down at her the whole time, quietly watching her actions as she seemed hard at work. There was incredible focus on her end, as if she knew that if she allowed herself to feel anything else she would probably run off or her head wouled explode from the blood pressure.
"I remember bits and pieces of who I was. I have these flashes in my mind, but nothing coherant that I can put together. I believe this is also another trial or perhaps a simple glitch in the natural order of things due to Pyriel's escape." he commented, not willing to question the plans of the maker. "Maybe in time I will remember what I need to know, nothing more or less. For now, I am simply Israfel, and that will be enough at the current time." he said, laughing as he leaned down and kissed Marina's cheek.
Watching her place the blanket on the floor, he had a flash back to days long past. There was a woman in furs placing a bed roll down in a small wooden hut. She had a smile on her face, she was inviting, and the people around him thought that he might be the god that they prayed to. There was a smile on his face as he remembered, he had visited him them to lift a sickness off of the village as per his orders. Israfel continued to day dream as Marina changed, sitting down cross legged on the blankets as he did so. She returned moments later, looking no less radiant to him than she did when she left.
"Can I ask you a question?" he began, continuing to stare off into the distance. "..that creature at the cemetary, why do you associate with him? He is of Lucifers kin, a twisted perversion of nature. You would be safer if you stayed away from him."

"It is their world, Israfel. The Father gave it to them to do with as they saw fit. I wouldn't want to be the one who made the decisions on what was proper. I would not trust myself to do such a thing." she said softly as she exhaled, "There is a reason, I was born where I was, who I was and in the form I am in. I do not know what that is but...people need my help." she said softly as she shrugged and then looked up into his eyes.
She leaned up for the kiss on the cheek and closed her eyes. Cupping his cheek briefly and patting it softly as she enjoyed the simple contact and took comfort from it. It was a bit like recovering after a long illness and realizing you could breathe. The small gesture touched her.
"Get comfortable and lay down, Israfel. Even Angels need time to receive revelation from the Father. I tend to receive it when I sleep. Michael sends me what I need to know." she says softly as she crawled under her blankets and turned to the side to regard him in case he had something else to ask or impart. There was also a part of her that worried he would be gone when she awoke like he had never existed so she was afraid to let her eyes close.
"Because he helped me when I needed it. He protected me from Reginald and was patient with me when I did stupid things. He's looked out for me as has the Queen of the City. They didn't have to but they did. They could have killed me but they didn't and haven't. Their humanity is slowly coming back to them and I don't see why that would be a bad thing. After Reginald was sent back to hell and you died Trenton made sure I got up and took care of myself and others. He didn't have to do any of that but he did. I know he's a vampire and I've seen what he can do but he's helped us push back the Horsemen and greater evil than himself at great risk to himself. Surely there is redemption possible for everyone if they wish it, Israfel?" she asked him as she turned and looked into his eyes.
She still had hope that Trent would be accepted. "He's not perfect. He's possessive and he's still a vampire deep down in his core but there are moments of light within him. How can I just ignore that? We are here to help beings, I just have a hard time conceptualizing that we can only help humans. I mean I don't have my memories so I don't know but to love another person is the greatest of gifts and the goodness in that should be rewarded." she said softly as she looked at him. She had so many uncertainties compared to everyone else of her kind but she had faith and a trust that many did not have. She wanted to see the good in people.

"Isn't it I who was made to take care of you? It sounds like the roles have reversed a bit." he said, laughing softly. Though he didn't mean it to sound that way, he was suggesting that it was his duty as a male to care for her. He was stubborn in that sort of thinking, even if he believed her strong, that he should look out for her and she should worry about her task as it was more important than even him. As she got in bed, Israfel simply sat there and watched her. It was somewhat nerve wracking most likely as well, as he felt he wasn't being rude or weird by doing so. Sitting unnaturally still, he was literally just watching her as he told her that he would, that he would protect her.
"I can hear them at almost all times, their words. It might be that because you are still attached to your mortality that they can only reach you in your dreams. Even now I am listening to what they allow me to know." he said, smiling. It was impossible to explain, but he always felt a connection to where he came from, it always felt as if he could hear the hushed whispers. It was so odd to him however to consider that she was trapped in mortal flesh, that she was not fully what she used to be. Or perhaps he had forgotten, maybe she had always been this way and he forgot what it was like in the time before he went through his incubation in a mortal shell.
Israfel listened and considered her words carefully. However he had also always known her to be soft on everything, that was her nature. He was weary of demons, that was what they were afterall, shades released from the very depths of the black pits. Yet at the same time he knew she was right, out of all the demons they had the greatest capacity for love and emotion that he had ever witnessed. It was that their soul was fractured, damned to feed upon the life force of those they loved that truly made Vampires a tragedy in his eyes. "He could have helped you simply to survive, have you considered all possibilities? They are of the pits, at least be aware of this at all times." he said slowly.
"We can help more than just humans return to the light, however becoming attached to one of Lucifers monsters is an unwise course." he said, but a moment of his old self finally showed through for a moment. "If he were to even so much as try to drink from you, I would send him to purgatory for the rest of eternity to await judgement.." he said, there was a tone there that sounded very threatening, almost emotionless.

"Honestly, I do not know..." she admitted with a blush, "This is all new to me and while I would not mind you taking care of me, I want to help you should you have need of my help." she said gently as she furrowed her brow and tried to sort things out. It was clear she was trying to remember what she should be doing or how she should be acting. Then she realized he was staring at her with this impenetrable gaze. "Israfel, is something wrong? You keep staring at me." she twitched and flushed a bit, flustered at being the focus of someones attention. He made it hard to focus on what she should be doing. It wasn't often that one had someone as gorgeous as a male model staring at them. Granted she tended to be around sensationally beautiful beings but it didn't mean that she was used to the stares. She tended to not look overly long at anyone as a general rule. With many of the darker creatures it was too easy to have a long stare be misconstrued as a challenge.
"You make it sound like a punishment to be as I am." she squirmed even more, "Pyriel said I was crippled and that I was sad because I could not remember my former glory." she bit her lip and flushed. It wasn't that she was ashamed it was more that she didn't know how to be other than what she was. She could access the divine but only in a limited sense because as Israfel said, her mortal coil could not house all the knowledge all the time.
"Why would he need me for anything? I cause him more trouble than gain. His own kind dislike my presence and are forever trying to minimize it. He's literally killed his own kind because he felt they were a danger to me. It makes no sense. He could have forged an alliance with any coven he wished but he's refused to do so. He refuses to even entertain the idea of such a thing." she exhaled. "Its very confusing to me that he and Diana, the queen of the city have been nicer to me than the humans I'm supposed to be protecting. This city just runs differently. Vampires seem to know more of how to be good than the people who are supposed to be good." she wasn't trying to be difficult, she was just explaining what she had experienced. It confused her and made it hard for her to always know the right path. Humans were after all flawed and yet they were given chances far more than many other races. It made no sense to her why such things were. She didn't necessarily rail against it, she just didn't understand it.
She blinked and looked up at him, her blanket falling off her shoulder as he spoke, not that she showed much skin as she was in flannel pajamas. This was a side of him she was not used to and it frightened her as much as his intense gaze if not moreso. "Israfel..." she looked for words and tried to gather her thoughts, "He drank from me before you even remembered you were an angel. Reginald and he had arraigned for me to marry him, granted he didn't set a date or anything like that but some of the situation with Trenton stems from that. I ended up carrying his mark even before I knew fully what I was. I didn't even really understand what it meant. Frankly its meaning is still ambiguous as vampire culture shifts from area to area. Trenton never saw a reason to stop associating with me after he helped kill Reginald for what Reginald did to me." she shuddered and looked ill from the memory of what Reginald had done.
"I realize you see him as hellspawn and he is a damned soul to be sure, but he has helped push back the horsemen at great cost to himself. He did not have to do that. He could have stepped back and stayed out of the fight. Granted, he probably did it out of a desire to protect me but does that make the act less important?" she felt a headache growing. Normally she would have bristled but there was so much she did not know that it was hard to get mad about something when you may be legitimately wrong in your thinking. There again, could she really yell at Israfel for wanting to protect her when Trent did the same thing? She was nothing if not consistent even if she wasn't sure if her logic was sound.
She slid out of bed and began to pace, not out of adjitation so much as she was thinking and needed something to do besides lay there on her butt. She has so many new thoughts and feelings and each vied for her attention. Memories old and new, knowledge that tickled her mind waiting to be bestowed. The gates of her mind were opening just as his own were and she did not know how to proceed with such things. Normally, she would recieve such thoughts in dreams but with Logan acting as a catalyst of sorts it was like drinking several energy drinks and having the jitters. Had she been doing things wrong? Had she been completely wrong in her thinking? If she had why had she not recieved an admonishment? Perhaps Logan was here as an admonishment as much as for his own task?
She sighed and paced. as she did so her wings manifested, so caught up in her own thoughts that she didn't even notice. She was getting used to her angelic form more and more as the years past and it was second nature to her now, she didn't even realize she had begun to hover. Seeming to walk on the air currents in the room as her being glowed with how hard she worked mentally. "Israfel, why is my head so full?" she sighed finally as she stood there and looked at him before realizing that she now seemed to be slightly taller. Glancing down at the ground she blinked and her wings disappeared leaving her to fall on her butt with a groan, "I am the clumsiest angel ever." she said as she stared up at the ceiling for a moment and caught her breath.

"You do not need to be concerned with helping me. There is nothing more that can be done, in time I will figure out what I need to know as the need arises." he said simply, continuing his gaze. He could tell that it was unnerving, however, as she seemed to be incredibly uncomfortable with it. Blinking only once as he saw her doing, he figured this was something that he should be doing so that he did not frighten people. "No, there is nothing wrong. Have I done something to make you concerned?" he asked, tilting his head to the side.
"It is not a punishment, as I said it is a gift, one we cannot know. Pyriel is misguided and does not understand that to be mortal is a wonderous thing. You can love as you wish, do as you wish, and then return to the cycle when the time is right. I understand his pain, however, Pyriel is tired.. he just does not realize this yet. His spirit needs rest, it needs to return to where it belongs so that he can recenter himself. Until then, do not take to heart anything that comes out of his mouth." Israfel said, saying more in that moment than he had all night.
Closing his eyes for a moment, he seemed to be considering what she just said. He could not make sense of it either, which he figured was because he did not need to make heads or tails of it. "That may be so, that they have taken you in, and shown you kindness. Never forget however that they are broken creatures, that kindness they exhibit is fickle and their true nature could emerge on a whim." he warned, it was clear that no matter what she said he would not come to trust what he considered a child of Lucifer.
As she mentioned the fact that he had taken her blood before, Israfel's eyes began to glow. The sky outside darkened, storm clouds forming, and rain started to come down harshly against the windows. His emotions were manifesting physically. On earth even Angels were vulnerable to emotions like these, temptations, this was why they were not meant to be down here long. A lightining bolt rolled across the sky, soon followed by thunder.
Standing now, his shadow was daunting as he stood over her at his full height. "His protection comes at a price. He marks you, drinks from you, uses you! These things taint the very grace and beauty you were destined for." he exclaimed, though in his head he knew his words would never reach her. She was made to see the good in all, she was made to save them, all of them. Watching her fall to her butt had little effect on calming the fury of this angel, though she would feel that tiny spark of concern in an ocean of wrath.
"If he stands in the way of your purpose, I will do what I need to do to keep you on your path."

Her shoulders drooped as she was told she couldn't help him, "I understand. I just wanted to help." she said softly. When he asked her if something was wrong she sighed, "Most humans blink, Israfel. Its natural. They aren't so still. If you look at people without blinking like that it makes them feel self conscious or like you're judging them." she said quietly.
"I think you need rest as well, Israfel. To let the Father's plans fully settle into your mind." she said gently, "You have time to learn and grow. Take it." She somehow doubted he would listen to her, "I worry about you. I'm not trying to be bossy I just care about you."
"I keep this in mind always. It is why I live in my own home. I am very careful when I am around them." she said gently, "I'm very careful when I heal them, Israfel." She was a bit confused by all his declarations. Not knowing if there was full divine truth behind them or his personal spin on things.
She closed her eyes and cringed. The loud noise made her twitch in reaction as she felt things more acutely around him and with him. "Israfel, stop. I meant no harm. I did not think it would cause problems. I thought it might heal him..." she said this weakly more afraid that to elaborate would further enrage him.
"Then why didn't Michael say anything? He's seen the mark. He never said anything about it or that it was wrong. I don't understand. I was just trying to help him. I didn't know it was wrong." she said this softly as she sat up and hugged herself, looking at her feet, "I just wanted to heal Trent." she repeated as her eyes welled up with tears.
"I don't know what my purpose is. I was told by Michael I was to help people and to stop beings like the Horsemen and Pyriel and I do that but beyond that I don't know, Israfel. How can I know if I am off the path if I don't know where it is to begin with?"

Hearing his name, Israfel would come back from the fit of rage he was experiancing. Already he dread his stay here in this place, he hated the temptations of this world. It was harder to resist such feelings the further away from heaven he was. The humans liked to refer to certain things as heaven on earth, however they had no idea. As the power that forced his eyes to glow faded, his face suddenly became exhausted, there was a frown present in his expression as if he was going to cave. Sighing heavily, he shoulders dropped down as if he was ashamed of the rage.
"He kills people, Marina, if you wish to help someone.." he started, trying to choose his next statement carefully. How did you tell someone like her that she was helping more people by smiting him rather than wasting her time on nurture. "..end him. The longer he is here, the more people he kills. He cannot help what he was made, no, however it is inevitable that he has to feed on the life that was put here. His kind, Vampires, they are spit in the face of the maker." he said slowly, crossing his arms over his chest. His voice held no anger now, but there was a tone of finality to it. This was what he believed, he was stubborn, and she would not make him budge.
For once he had no answer for her, there was nothing he could say. He never truly understood her destiny either, infact that was the very reason he was lost. Sighing once more, he offered her a shrug of his shoulders as if to say that he was not sure. "You must help people, but helping a killer instead of stopping him is not helping. I've seen some things, the way you act around others.." he said slowly, letting her know that he could see her from where he was. "You walk on egg shells, with everyone. Remember that you are not here to be anyone's pet, you are here doing important work." he said, moving closer to her and lifting her chin with his right hand.
"Michael does not understand the way we do, how could he? He hears the voice, he delivers judgement. He was not made to work so close with others, their feelings, their hopes." he said slowly. He was not bad mouthing Michael of course, but if you thought about it he wasn't too far from the truth. "To be close to them.." he said slowly, his wings extending and wrapping around her. "..to smell them.." he said, drawing a deep breath as he pulled her close to him. His body would glow a bright white colour, his energy humming audibly now. "..love." he said softly, as if he had forgotten everything else he was saying, and with that he would press his lips to hers and hold her close.
Wordlessly his soul would say to hers; "No more tears."

Lifting a hand and running it through her hair she exhaled slowly, her head ducked down and flush with shame. She was a bundle of nerves and her own emotions were a mess. Sighing softly she didn't say anything. There was just too many complexities. On one hand she knew he was right but it felt like betrayal and she really wanted to help Trent be a better being. It didn't help that she was exhausted so she just said nothing, letting her tiredness speak for itself.
She looked into his eyes and nodded, "The work isn't the question. That at least is mostly cut and dried. Its my personal life that's messed up." she said honestly, "I just don't know how to be mean to people that have been nicer to me than anyone else. I'm not saying they are GOOD people but it just seems I dunno. Its a confused mess. I don't know why I was even placed with these people. I could have ended up anywhere and instead I end up in the snake den becoming a snake charmer and now I get told that its wrong. That the people who saved my life are self serving and materialistic and spawns of Satan its just hard." she said finally. Her tears stopped slowly. "Its a lot to take in, Israfel. I am trying."
Hugging him close she inhaled his scent, her loneliness easing with him here. Her tears evaporated and she felt his soul touch hers and she relaxed. Her own energy flared out bright and as she kissed him back happily a change was coming over her. Her form slowly began the change that would be needed in the coming months and years. She hugged him, feeling slightly dizzy as the kiss continued and her soul touched his own. For an empath it was vital to go back to ones center. It was too easy to lose track of ones emotions in the feelings of others but in this case she knew where he ended and she began. If someone asked her how she knew it she couldn't say. It just was. It was the confidence of knowing that you always had someone in your corner no matter what. Someone who may not always agree with you, but didn't put personal gain ahead of you in the rat race of Earth.
"I love you too." she said once the kiss ended enough for her to come up for air. "I don't mean to make things complicated." she said softly as she looked at him and just savored the moment and tried to let her worries go. It was in some ways easier for her to keep focused on the task at hand. Her difficulty was dealing with the emotions of others who were hurting. Distancing herself from them so as to better help them. She was better than when she first started. In the beginning, he had had to stay close to her for fear she would do something evil not of her own volition but because her empathy made her react as if she was the one who wanted to do evil. Luckily the Father knew the difference but it made it hard for her to separate herself sometimes and if she was trapped she could be lost, at least for a little while.
