The howl of a beast filled the air, a Wolf who had been seperated from his pack. Her mind was in hunter mode, all instinct, no thought as she stalked the lone wolf, preying on them from the shadows. Her silvery white eyes shined for a split second in the darkness before she vanished once more. It was an enjoyable game, the wolf seemed to turn every which way, tracking her scent, losing it, and then gaining it once more. She was fast, too fast for mere Beta's to handle, it was pretty much like stalking children. She wasn't after them as much as she was trying to draw out an Alpha and put him down.
Snarling loudly, the werwolf stood on his two legs, roaring at the darkness where Lidija lurked. It seemed that she was found this time, but his roar had left him open. There was no time to correct it, no time to form some sort of counter, in a blink she was at it's throat, silver knife in hand. It was a sickening sound, the knife driving home into the beasts neck, blood squirting on her face as she hit him exactly where she would have drained him were he not a vile beast, her mortal enemy. Diana mentioned a problem, she would right this wrong for her, though Lidija would not tell them that it was she who was killing them.
Ripping the blade out of the wolfs neck, she turned slowly to see several pairs of glowing yellow eyes upon her. None of them dared make a move however, as if they were weary. Her speed was incredible to them, they were afraid that they couldn't even raise their claws in the time it took her to close the gap, they were probably right. Grinning wickedly, she turned and started to toss the knife back and forth between her hands. "Is that all? Puppies with no nerve for a fight?" she taunted, only being met by snarling. Taking a step forward, one set of eyes retreated into the dark.
"Tell your leader LA belongs to my kin. You have fourty eight hours to vacate your packs.." she said, her tone definitely hinting towards what would come next. She would turn this into a fullscale war if she had to, triggering chaos in the city. While this was not the reason she rose, she was becoming side tracked by trying to restore the territories to some sort of order that made sense to her and her alone. She didn't believe in co-existing with most races, if you weren't a vampire you were food or a slave.

Trenton followed Lidija who was following the wolf. Both were in hunter mode, and Trenton had the feeling that the wolf was extremely outclassed. His feelings were confirmed when he saw Lidija finally lunge at the wolf, knife in hand. Trenton frowned. What did she think she was doing? Did she not realize how much trouble she would cause? Normally, Trenton would not have minded some trouble as things had actually grown quiet as of late, but this was certainly not the wisest way to bring it about.
Trenton listened as Lidija mocked the wolves, calling them puppies who had no nerve for a fight. "Or maybe they are trying to make sure that they do not underestimate their opponent or unnecessarily start a war," Trenton stated, as he approached them, holding his hands out to show the wolves that he meant no harm. "You are safe from me. Please allow me to try to talk to her," he addressed the wolves. Then, he let out an almost inaudible sigh as the other vampire told them that LA belonged to vampires and that the packs had forty-eight hours to leave. "You are not helping the situation," Trenton growled in warning. He and Diana had worked hard and fought major battles to bring peace to this place and Lidija's actions were putting that in jeopardy. "We need to talk...now," Trenton told her. Ancient One or not, as Vampire King, Trenton was not going to put up with such a blatant attack that had the potential to start a war.

"I had a feeling you would be here."
Lidja said, her concern for the wolves momentarily forgotten when Trenton spoke. Though she was far from amused, almost borderline enraged. Her personality was very odd, one moment she seemed to be content, the next she was bothered by everything that existed including her own creations. There was no happy medium for her, no peace, she thrived amongst the chaos, fed on it and that was why she would never be content with peace. "It doesn't make your stomach writhe in anguish to just be this close? To smell the thick stench of dog in the air.." she trailed off, but it would seem in the lull Trenton had provided they used the previous few moments to vanish into the night. There was a soft curse from Lidja, practically inaudible as she focused her attention fully on him now.
Laughing at his rage, she tilted her head to the side a bit as she spoke. "Aren't I? You cannot co-exist with our mortal enemies, eventually they will turn on you, they always do. Do not presume to lecture me as if I have no experiance in the matter. They will never let your peace last, never." she said, narrowing her eyes at him. She was not accustom to being spoken to in such a matter. Back when she was well known, vampires fell over themselves in her presence, but now she carried a very dangerous secret that prevented her from alerting the entire community to her station in this world.
"Then speak, but choose your words carefully. King or not, I will tear you apart should I not like what you have to say. Consider this before you begin." she warned, smiling. Was she truly going to harm him? Probably not, she would only resort to that sort of punishment if she found that her own kind were openly giving away secrets to those who were unaware of their existance or Werewolves themselves. As she allowed him to speak, she would circle him, much like a predator circled their prey using that time to look him over. There was something familiar about him, something that screamed at her that she should know this one.

Lidija was not pleased with how he had spoken with her, Trenton could see that. But he did not care. He and Diana had worked too hard and too long to bring some semblance of decorum among the species of Los Angeles and he was not about to let a newcomer to the city ruin that, no matter how old they were. At her comment that she had a feeling that he would be there, he made eye contact almost regally. "I always show up in places where vampires are overstepping their bounds," he informed her.
When she asked him if the stench of the the werewolves didn't bother him and that they could not co-exist, Trenton gave an indifferent shrug as he watched the werewolves run away. Be safe, he thought to himself. He had no idea if they could hear him, but hopefully they would not lump him in the same category as Lidija. "Yes, the smell is a bit nauseating, but we have been attempting to co-exist with one another for some time now. Too much has happened in our world to keep up a petty feud," he responded. And it was true. He was not sure how Diana felt, but he had found that Los Angeles was much safer for them all when vampires and werewolves at least tolerated one another. Even as he spoke, Trenton made a mental note to meet with Daryl---the Alpha of Los Angeles---as soon as possible to let him know about the attack on the wolves and that it had not been sanctioned by him. He saw her narrow her eyes at him as she spoke, but he did not care. Then he growled when she told him not to lecture him and took a big step forward as he vamped out. "When I see a vampire acting in an unsanctioned manner, I will lecture them all I want no matter how old they are. If you want to survive in this city I would suggest that you send a gesture of apology to the Alpha werewolf for your unprovoked attack," he snapped, his eyes flashing. "Because if you don't and the wolves choose to retaliate, I will be there right along side them," he finished. Then, he turned from the woman and started to walk away.

There was a long pause as she considered what he said, however very shortly after she let out a rather high pitched laugh. Holding her stomach in a mock human gesture, she seemed as if she had not taken a single thing he said seriously. "Over stepping my bounds? I have not heard that in so long.." she said, trying to regain control of herself once more. It was next to impossible to take this seriously, his pity for such beasts. "I knew there was a reason you were chosen, it could not have been coincidence.." she said, once more being very cryptic about what she meant. There was a feeling of familiarity the night before in the bar and even now she could tell that she was in some way connected to this man even if she could only faintly remember why that was.
"Make me understand, "Your Majesty" and then perhaps I will heed your words, take them more seriously.." she said, vanishing from where she stood and appearing in front of him. If he did not recoil, she would attempt to place one of her small hands upon his chest, looking into his eyes with a wicked grin. "Let me see what it is you hold within you, your blood memories. Perhaps then I might understand your concern.." she said, her fangs showing from her impish grin. She did not know a thing about this man other than he seemed to be a survivor, would he allow her to come so close to him for such a thing made him more vulnerable.
"You and your queen really do not understand what is happening here, who, or even what I am." she stated softly, attempting to move closer to him. "Submit to my probing and in turn I will delay my fury, does this sound like a reasonable offer? Then perhaps you might hold on to your precious "peace" awhile longer." she said, sneering at the idea of such a thing. There was rage building even thinking about it, yet the curiousity trumped the urge to tear his head from his shoulders. The monster within called out to him, as if he was triggering some sort of reaction in her, as if she had been reunited with something from her past.

Trenton just stared at Lidija as she laughed at his choice of words. He was not about to admit it, but he was suspicious of her cryptic comments as well as irritated by her blatant disregard for the peace that had been brokered. "What do you mean you knew there was a reason I was chosen? I have never seen you before and Diana does not even know you. If we had met, I would remember," Trenton couldn't help saying. Although, truthfully, he wasn't sure if that was true. This does not make sense. Why do I get the feeling that I should know her? he wondered. Then, he mentally shook his head, clearing the thoughts away. He had to focus on what was going on.
Without warning, Lidija was in front of him, telling him to make her understand---let her see his memories---and then perhaps she would heed his warnings. Trenton did not even flinch, but stood erectly, making eye contact with her. Let her see his thoughts? Absolutely not! That would give her an advantage over him and would bring harm to Marina. He would not allow that to happen. "Well, I am not sure if I can make an outsider understand the importance of this treaty," he commented as he stepped back so that she couldn't put a hand on his chest. For all he knew she was planning to rip out his heart. A part of him wanted to rip her hand off leaving a stump for trying such a thing with him but he wisely stayed put. "Let us just say that two different species cannot stop an apocalypse together without growing somewhat closer," he continued. And that was certainly the truth. He was certainly more protective of Daryl and some of his other wolves.
At her statement that he and Diana didn't know what was going on or who she really was, Trenton nodded. "That much is true. For all we know you could be out to destroy us all one by one," he agreed. At her suggestion of him submitting to her probing so that she would delay her fury, he scoffed. "And have you use my own memories for your own personal gain? Do you take me for an utter fool?" he questioned disdainfully. What arrogance, he thought to himself. He wasn't sure what, but something inside of him warned him against Lidija. Somehow they knew each other, he just couldn't place how. Besides, what if she did something to him that would make him turn on Diana and the others? No. He would not let it happen! "My advise to you is that if you want to start a war, you go somewhere else. We are not interested in chaos. We have had enough of that in the last ten years," Trenton stated and then turned to go. As far as he was concerned, this conversation was over. If Lidija would not submit to their law, he and the others would put her down. It was as simple as that.

Lidija laughed softly at Trenton's confusion, she was just as confused even if she wouldn't outright admit it. "But do you really believe that? That tone, the look in your eyes. Perhaps there is more to you than even you know.." she trailed off, before becoming eeriely calm and quiet. Yet it seemed for all that she offered he would continue to refuse her, no one refused her without making her angry. She was their mother and the result of telling your mother to get lost never turned out to be pretty. The monster in her lurched violently, ready to destroy Trenton, however it was held in check by whatever small shreds of humanity were left clinging, flowing like tattered cloth in the breeze.
Without warning, she would find herself blocking his path once more, but this time she was not entirely in control of her own movements. Her visage morphed into a terrifyingly demonic image, her mouth opening like some sort of black void full of razor sharp teeth. A low growl escaped her mouth as she lurched forward, attempting to throw Trenton backwards off of his feet. If she managed to get ahold of him, she would throw him through a tree, flying until he hit another, at which point she would be right in front of of him holding them both to the tree. Snarling violently, she would then sink her rows of razor sharp teeth into his shoulder and chest at the same time due to her mouth being some kind of demonic maw.
If he didn't resist, she would pull the memories from him, seeing that which her gut already knew. He was hers, she had made him personally, and it was from her blood his strength drew from. Images flashed in her mind, Trenton stumbling down a dark alley, an alluring raven haired beauty, and his eventual torment, and change. When she had seen enough, she released Trenton, letting him fall to the ground as she let out a loud screech. Once it was over, her features morphed back into the mundane woman they had met the night before, blood splattered all over her mouth. "If I wanted to use anything against you, I would have done so without showing myself to either of you. I could have followed you, chosen to destroy you. I offer the choice because you are all apart of me.." she said, and surprisingly there was care in her voice.
"You are not interested in chaos, but you have no choice. Not unless the chains are broken, not unless we control the cycle created by selfish gods. We are in control of nothing, but we can make a choice to rebel." she said, taking a few steps closer. The moonlight seemed to reflect off of her pale skin, adding to her strange appearance. "If I wished to destroy you, I would have come down on you with the power of my own Coven. I would have done so in full scale war, I do not play games.." she said, stopping just before him. "Do you wish to know what I saw in your blood, Trenton?" she asked, tilting her head as she looked down at him.
"We could show you.."

Trent's eyes flashed as she taunted him, saying that perhaps there was something more to him than even he[/b[ knew. I would not doubt it. After all, I have no human memories, he thought to himself. However, he didn't say this. He didn't want to give Lidija something to use against him. Then before he knew what was happening, she had lunged at him again, fangs bared and a demonic visage on her face. Trenton tried to block her next attack but she was too fast and he fell to the ground. He struggled to get the upperhand but soon she tore into his shoulder and chest with her fangs. Damn! Is this what if feels like for my victims he thought to himself, wincing in pain. Before he knew what was happening, she released her hold on him and jumed back, letting out a shriek.
Painfully, Trenton climbed to his feet. Man, that was gonna take a long time to heal even if he did get in a good feeding. When he looked up, Lidija's face was back to normal, revealing the woman he had met the previous night, except now she had blood on her face. She then told him in a suprisingly caring voice, that if she had wanted to use anything against him, she would've done so without announcing herself, following him, and then destroying him but that she offered him a choice because they were all a part of her. What does that mean? Is she saying that she's my sire? he wondered. But that was crazy! Or was it?
He looked up at her as she continued, saying that he wasn't interested in chaos but that he didn't have a choice unless the cycle chains were broken or controllen, and that they were in charge of nothing but could make the choice to rebel. Trenton painfully tried to climb to his feet, however, the pain was too much and he found himself back on his knees.
He panted in pain as he looked up at Lidija as she asked if he wanted to know what she had seen in his blood. What? She saw some of my memories? That's not possible. I don't have any human memories---or I've always been a vampire---or something... he thought to himself. But apparently it was possible, for stepped closer and offered to show him. "What kind of trick are you pulling? I have no human memories. Every vampire knows that!" he spat out. BUt he had to admit, the offer was tempting...
OOC Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry it took me so long to reply! I offer no excuses just an extra long (for me anyways) post.

Lidija stared at him for a long while, as if she could not believe him. All of these years, had they truly learned nothing of what they were capable of? Truly, she was astounded, none the less she would not do him the injustice of talking down to him. Instead, she slowly made her approach with a smirk on her face. "Dearest, there is no trick to unravel here. There is no game, no hoax, there is only the truth." she said softly. When she was standing just before him, she crouched down to be eye level with him. "Have you ever wondered why you cannot remember being created? Why you tend to go berserk randomly for no reason at all? Surely you did not assume these things to be normal." she said, tilting her head slightly.
"If you dare to learn the truth of the matter, I will show you. The choice is yours, I will not force you to see something you may not be ready to see." she said, seeming polite. She knew however that this was something he had always wanted to know, she could see it in the expression he wore. "Believe it or not I have not come back here to force you to do anything. I am compelled to be here by something and now I know what it is." she said, there was a brief smile. Tilting her head more, she exposed the pale skin of her neck, light blue veins visible against porcelin skin. "If you wish to know, drink. Be warned, however, that those weak of mind are driven to insanity, to addiction by drinking my blood." she said.
Infact, if he were to drink from her it would be like liquid energy. His skin would tingle, the blood boosting his strength. The power of her blood would even force his heart to beat while he drank and that was where the addiction came in. The raw power held a taste of what it was like to be alive, to feel your own heart. However on top of that feeling, the images of his change would be force fed back into him. All of the fear, the agony, and the pain. At the same time, he would catch a glimpse of something he was not meant to see. A young woman in a corner, frightened, defenseless. Suddenly she was covered in slash wounds, blood flowing out of them and into a demonic apparition. Once she was bled dry, the creature climbed inside of her body.

Trenton watched suspiciously as her voice grew soft as she told him that she wasn't trying to pull anything, but merely trying to get him to see the truth. At her further question of whether or not he wondered why he didn't remember be turned or why he seemed to go off at random times, adding that he probably knew that it wasn't normal, he gave a shrug. Sure he wondered about those things from time to time. But from what he had seen over the years, whatever you were as a human, you became more so as a vampire. "From what I've seen of other vampires, everything they were as a human gets magnified. I just assumed that the same happened to me," he replied, feigning indifference. Which probably means I should take even more care around Marina. If I was prone to violence as a human, that got amplified after I was turned, he mused.
He then refocused his attention on Lidija as she spoke again, saying that if he wanted the truth, she would show him and that the choice was his as he might see something that he wasn't ready to deal with and that she had been compelled by something to come to Los Angeles. After she offered her neck for him to drink complete with the warning of what could happen, Trent weighed his options: he was already weak from her previous attack and it had hurt! Did he really want to go through that again? On the other hand, he could finally get the answers he sought. Making a quick decision, Trenton used his vampiric speed and and then without hesitation, let his fangs extract and bent towards Lidija's neck.
OOC I will make up memories for him in the next response.

"You're partially right. Some things do become magnified, more intense. Usually these are simple urges, however, impulses. As far as I know, you were not a murderer before I intervened." she said simply. As she watched him her lips curled into a faint frown, she could feel his pain as he sat there trying to heal the wound. It had been so long since she attacked one of her own kind, she forgot how much her bite actually stung. In fact, it had been so long since she had truly fed on anyone in general. The scene was starting to appeal to the small part of her humanity that the demon had not managed to kill, not even with thousands of years of war, and psychological warfare. Yet that is why it always took over, it feared that it would lose control when she could feel.
Standing still, she let Trenton close the gap between them, her tiny frame pressed against his as he bent to drink from her. Wrapping her statue-esque arms around him, his grip felt like being hugged by a pair of iron beams. "Go ahead, drink child, see what it is you have forgotten. I will not harm you, I promise you." she said softly, one of her hands moving to gently stroke his hair as she offered her neck to him. Next came the intense part, the part where his fangs would penetrate her skin, the intense emotional, and sexual energy that occured during such a thing. Closing her eyes, she let her senses soar, keep a watchful eye on the enviroment around them incase they were to be disturbed for whatever reason.
Inside her the beast raged violently, however, as it always did when others fed on her. Yet the entire time there was a smile on it's demonic maw. Waiting until the end of whatever memories he would regain, it would make it's self known, it would show it's face in his mind as a warning to what he might one day be crossing.

As he drank, Trenton took in what Lidija had said about some things being magnified. So I was right about that, he thought to himself. But at least he hadn't been a violent killer in his human days---well, according to her anyway. Then, the full weight of what she had just said penetrated. She had turned him? Why had she taken his memories? These thoughts faded away as she spoke soothingly, stroking his hair. Trenton forced himself to relax as he he continued drinking from her. He had to know what she knew about him.
Then all at once, the images came. Slowly at first. He was a child and human, talking with some people who he assumed were friends. One of the other boys in the group said something---Trenton couldn't hear what---but it was obviously something he hadn't liked because he punched him. Then it shifted to him doing various things as he grew older: playing, working, getting an education. Suddenly, the images stopped. He was now the same age he still was physically. He was obviously loitering---probably trying to avoid going home to do his chores. Trenton's eyes widened as he saw himself getting attacked, drained, and then fed blood before being turned.
The images began to speed up as everything continued to come back as Trenton kept feeding. Finally, he pulled away and then jumped back, putting as much as distance between them as he could. "You did this! You took away my memories! Why?" he demanded, unable to hide his fear. Why had this been done to him? Was it a type of torture? At least he knew who he was now. Now he had a past. It was amazing how much peace that gave him. But there was still the question of why Lidija had taken his memories from him. That's all he wanted to know: why?

As Trenton pressed his fangs to her skin, her body instinctively arched forward to press against his. It had been quite some time since she let someone feed from her, she had almost forgotten what it felt like. Her eyes rolled back into her head, it was almost pure bliss to feel the life blood draining from her body, though with each draught her hunger grew. Wrapping her arms around him, she drifted into her own memories, induced by the feeling of being drained.
There were screams in the air, people running down burning streets. The smell of burning flesh was everywhere, they had come for her. To save her from a terrible disease her father made a deal with the devil, a deal to trade his very own soul for her health. However when she was better he thought he could cheat the beast, however payment was taken in full. Not only did her father die, she was turned into a beast that would hunt and destroy everyone that she held dear to her.
Lidija could still hear the cries, see the fear in their eyes. Men, women, even children were not spared her thirst. There was no mercy as she even harmed the infants, the ones who even had yet to be born. As she started to get lost in her "guilt" she felt something nagging at the back of her mind, something telling her to return. As she stirred, the life slowly came back to her eyes as she heard a voice, Trenton was angry with her as she would have expected.
"You were a very interesting predator, Trenton. There were complications however, obstacles that kept you from being what you were meant to be. I wanted you, by my side, to be my king. It seems nothing I did in my time ever turned out however." she said, laughing softly. Truthfully she didn't care that she hurt him, she only cared that she would never have her pet monster as she had hoped. Lonliness, that was the true motivation for most things a Vampire did, she was no different.
"I saved you, Trenton. I saved you from a life of true pain, from your own demise. I made a deal with a lesser devil to keep you from going to the fire. Can you blame me for such a thing?" she asked, looking him in the eyes. Shaking her head, Lidija looked up to the moon above them. "Hate me if you will, but know that I only ever tried to save you. You are a beautiful creature to me." she said sincerely.
"Everything will be okay from now on, Mother is here.."

Trenton wasn't sure what he had been expecting from Lidija, but really he didn't care. She had taken his memories. Everything that had made him who he was had been erased and for what? According to her, there had been "obstacles" in his way that had stopped him from being what she wanted him to be. What is she talking about? What obstacles? he wondered. However, he wasn't about to ask that out loud. He wanted nothing more to do with her!
At the news that she had wanted him to be her king, he let out a snarl. "I am a king! I worked strategically and methodically to take over Los Angeles. And now that I have accomplished this, you suddenly show up?" he asked derisively. What kind of fool did she take him for? Obviously, this was no coincidence. She was after something---most likely his position. And that was unacceptable. There was no way he was going to hand Los Angeles over to her.
Then, his eyes furrowed in confusion. He had no idea what she was talking about. His own demise? There had been nothing in the memories that he had regained that had ever hinted that he was in danger. He had just been a regular boy. Okay, maybe he had been a layabout, but the last time he had checked, that didn't generally lead to death. "So I was layabout and a terrible disappointment to my parents. That road doesn't necessarily lead to death," he deadpanned, not bothering to respond to her question of whether or not he blamed her for what she did as well taking note of the mention of a "lesser devil". I wonder what that means, he thought to himself.
His eyes narrowed as she went on, saying that she had only tried to save him and that she was beautiful to him. "And you've lost it," he told her, stepping back. He then froze as she assured him that everything was fine as she was there, calling herself "Mother". As soon as he heard these words, Trenton let out a snarl, letting his true features show. "I don't need a mother, and I don't need you!" he informed her angrily and then took off. He needed to get out of here. This was just too crazy! Why had he stayed so long? He had mis memories back, but at what price?
