STRENGTHS
[/BLOCKQUOTE]
1. Patient: he likes to think and plan ahead so that he has more chance of succeeding in whatever he takes on.
2. Quick learner: when he’s being taught something, he picks it up fast and usually doesn’t have to be told more than once how to do something.
3. In good shape: over the years, Luke has kept himself in good shape so that he can fight Supernatural creatures that threaten the population.
4. Kind-hearted: Despite spending half of his life around those without a moral compass, Luke has kept the goodness he possessed when he was a child, and is what prompted him to help others---especially those who find themselves victims of the Supernatural world.
5. Loyal: loyalty is very important to Luke. He'd lay down his life for those he cares for, especially Marina..
WEAKNESSES
[/BLOCKQUOTE]
1. Hot headed: even though he’s generally patient, there are times where he loses his temper really easily, which gets him in trouble.
2. Girls: his head can be turned easily, which has on occasion gotten him in over his head.
3. His claustrophobia: he hates enclosed spaces and always has to have a door open if he's going into a small room.
4. Submissive: Because of his upbringing, Luke can sometimes be more submissive in attitude when around Supernaturals, though he tries not to be.
5. Marina: she's like a sister to Luke and he'd do anything to keep her safe.. Anything...
LIKES
[/blockquote]
1. Music (Especially rock): it helps him to calm down and when he gets lost in a song, he can forget his troubles.
2. Staying physically fit: stems from when he was Selena's slave. He is always keeping his body sharp in case he has to run at a moment's notice.
3. People: because he was kept mostly isolated when he growing up, Luke always tries to hang around a group or crowd, craving the connection it brings.
4. Chocolate ice cream: even though he usually eats healthy, chocolate ice cream is his one junk food indulgence.
5. Being alone: Though he prefers to be part of a group, there are times when Luke prefers to be on his own, giving him a chance to think.
DISLIKES
[/BLOCKQUOTE]
1. Selena: even though she's been dead for years, a small part of Luke fears that she'll come back.
2. Violence: he hates it with a passion and tries to avoid it as much as possible, even though at times, avoidance isn't possible.
3. Supernatural creatures: for most of his life, Luke had only seen the evil side of the Supernatural world, and even though he made friends with Marina and a couple of her friends after Selena's death, he's still wary of that world and can be skittish around them.
4. Being used: Selena used to use him all the time and he still hates it.
5. Small places. Ever since he was a kid, he’s been extremely claustrophobic.
HISTORY
For a while, Luke grew up in Los Angeles as an average kid, living with his parents Peter and Sarah Brody who loved him dearly. He was went to Los Angeles Elementary and did pretty well in his classes. However, his happy life wouldn't last long. When he was ten-years old, a woman broke into his house and took him away from his parents while they were sleeping in their bedroom. He soon learned that the woman's name was Selena and she was a demon. Desperate to get back to his parents, Luke ran away, but he didn't get far before he was found. His life with Selena would continue through high school, though she enrolled him into Kingston High after he finished elementary school to avoid suspicion. When he was younger, Luke would constantly try to get the attention of anyone he could and try to tell them that he had been kidnapped, but no one would listen. As he got older (thirteen or so), he finally gave up trying to convince people of what happened to him, and started planning his escape. It was also around this time that Luke's situation worsened. When he was younger, if he displeased Selena, he would merely endure beatings, which were often brutal and he soon learned to perfect anything she asked him to do in order to avoid the punishment. However, once he hit his teens, his body filled out---something he realized that Selena had apparently noticed. He would often catch her staring at him longer and his services became more and more frequent. Soon, Luke found himself stuck in a sexual relationship with Selena, which continued into his late teens. As much as he feared Selena's beatings, he feared the sex more and would do anything he could to avoid it, though wasn't always possible to dissuade his mistress from her desires, even as he looked for a way to escape.[/BLOCKQUOTE]
Sometime later, Luke gathered up enough courage to fight Selena along with a group of other people and the woman was killed in a battle. After that, he moved in with Marina and Reginald who embraced him as their own. Luke and Marina became close and he learned that the girl was a psychic who later became a Cupid and Luke slowly learned that not all Supernatural creatures were evil. Sometime later, for reasons that Luke didn't know, Reginald went insane, attacking Marina and raping her, which resulted in the man's destruction at the hands of some her friends.
Luke would then go to college and discover an interest in helping people---especially victims of abuse. He would later join Marina as part of a center known as the Seraphim Foundation that helped runaways and others who were fleeing from the Supernatural.
CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
Luke will use memories of his past to fuel his desire of helping others and will use the Seraphim Foundation as a means to keep an eye on the Supernatural world and make sure that kids don't fall through the cracks or are being mistreated by any of the dozen creatures in Los Angeles.[/BLOCKQUOTE]

Luke wasn't sure if he was right or not. It was just a suspicion he had. But the way this kid Ryan was acting, he had been hurt. And bad. The look in the boy's eyes reminded Luke of the expression he used to wear and still sometimes wore. An expression of distrust and fear. Distrust of others around him and fear of whoever owned him. Someone had put that fear into Ryan just like Selena had put that fear into him. Selena. Even now, the thought of the demon caused him to tremble. Though she had been dead for years, her memory still haunted him. And sometimes, he thought it always would...
