STRENGTHS
▬ Gear Head; Something he just sort of picked up, Parker is incredible at taking things apart, more specifically cars. Odds are with enough time he can fix it, no matter what sort of vehicle it is. This skill is one of the ways he managed to get him and his brother off of the streets.[/BLOCKQUOTE]
▬ Tough Guy; One wrong move and he'll take you down. Parker doesn't mess around when it comes to his family, nor does he suffer disrespect very well. If you step on his toes, he'll step on your face, his temper is too powerful to contain. Just another one of his many skills, his ability to fight, though it is mostly dirty fighting. He knows a few different martial arts styles, but he feels most comfortable mixing it up with good 'ol street fighting.
▬ Wanderer; He can live, blend in, and feel comfortable just about anywhere. Parker has a natural ability to interact with the locals no matter where he goes and find that they respond well to him. While he doesn't paticularly have a way with words, he can be very helpful to those who are willing to be patient with him and show him some respect.
▬ Family; He draws strength from knowing his family is safe, taken care of, and not hurting for anything. While he would never outright say it, it can be seen in his actions even if you have to get past him coming off as an ass. He would go to any length to protect them and because of this he has found something to keep him going on days where he would otherwise just wallow in pointless negative emotions.
▬ Instincts; Parker has always been surrounded with a ridiculous amount of luck. Even in situations where he is outclassed, he always seems to come out of it, though not always in one piece. He acts based on instinct, which with a bit of luck, always seems to guide him through when he is lost. Despite his terrible beginning, it seems that the universe decided to toss him a bone. One would say that he has the luck of a hero on his side, the sheer dumb luck to triumph simply because he has to.
WEAKNESSES
▬ The Inferno; Parker can barely control his own abilities, when angry it takes great focus to bring them into check. Though he has had some training in this path, he still finds it easier to lose control than to learn to harness his power with his own will. This is an on-going goal of his, to learn to control and make his abilities work for him.[/BLOCKQUOTE]
▬ Bonds; Once again, while it is his strength, his family is also his weakness. He would do anything to protect them, even lay down his own life. Until he knows they are safe, he plays it cautious, doing anything he can to ensure that they are unharmed. Whoever learns of this can literally manipulate him into almost anything, except doing something that goes against his mortality in a major way.
▬ Relationships; He is terrible with women, surprisingly. While he has ravishing good looks, he tends to always mess things up. He barely has the patience to deal with being with someone romantically and often loses his temper with women. He was of course raised to respect them, but at the same time he finds them to be fickle, and his little faith in finding one worth his time.
▬ Higher Learning; While he is not dumb, he isn't exactly the scholar out of the bunch either. He seems wise, but it is mostly a sort of street smart, experiance sort of deal. If he knows something it is because he actually encountered it, not because he bothered to learn about it from a book. He prefers the simple life, not aspiring to the same pipe dreams that everyone else seems to be chasing.
▬ Addicted; Parker is incredibly addicted to his smokes by now, moving through a pack or two a day easily on most days. They help him control the rage, irritation, all of those negative emotions, even if they are going to consume his health eventually. Though he has tried several times, he seems to be unable to quit them, and will become furious if anything happens to his last pack.
LIKES
▬ Fast Cars; If it can move fast and has wheels odds are Parker is interested. He loves to drive fast, reckless, and race to make a quick buck or two here and there. It is how he manages to have all the extras that his day job don't provide for him.[/BLOCKQUOTE]
▬ Work Out; He loves to stay in shape, sports, fighting, anything that keeps him active. He'll often ask Jaxon to help him with this, he prefers to train with his brother to keep them both on their toes.
▬ Baseball; He can never get enough of this, watching it, playing it, collecting cards. It is his guilty pleasure, the collecting cards bit. He has them stashed away under his floor boards, hoping someday they might be worth something.
▬ Weapons; While he never cared much for the hand to hand training, Parker did love weapons. Guns, blades, things that went 'boom!' were his favorite in paticular. Though he never knew why he was learning to use them, he became profficient in several weapons, including a bow.
▬ Zombie Films; While it is ironic due to the battle that took place against the undead, he still has a soft spot for the films. While most people are a bit more terrified by them, he seems to be completely unphased anymore by this sort of thing.
DISLIKES
▬ Rule; He hates being told what to do, what is appropriate, and where he can do something. Basically he is anti-law and that shows through his activities. While he doesn't break the law to hurt anyone, he does it to enjoy himself.[/BLOCKQUOTE]
▬ The Supernatural; While he doesn't entirely dislike, he doesn't trust what he knows of it thus far. Seeing his own abilities out control makes him question what it would be like to encounter something worse than what he can do to someone else.
▬ Television; He'll never understand why people sit and watch cheap imitations of life when they could be living it. Having gone around the world to actually see things, experience them, he feels like it is a waste of time to turn the stupid thing on.
▬ Down time; More than anything Parker hates not having anything to do, it drives him nuts. He can't sit in a house and watch tv or plays games. He has to be doing something with his hands at all times or else he goes stir crazy. Only the most of active of people can keep up with his attitude.
▬ Technology; While he is not completely inept when it comes to it's use, he hates being dependant on it. For some reason he has grown up with the personality of an old man when it comes to this topic. He feels that people need to step away from it more often, then they might actually understand more about the world around them, instead of assuming they did.
HISTORY
Parker grew up on the streets, a wounded brat by the fact that his own parents didn't want him, or his baby brother. From a very young age he had to learn how to scrape together a living for the two of them, learning skills, putting a roof over their heads, it didn't matter what it took. Such a hard life however always bred an incredible bond between two people when forced to live it and so over time he would seemingly become almost inseperable from his little brother. Together they faced the many dangers living alone so young provided. Things were always bad for them, little food, constant fighting, running from the police when they had to steal to survive.[/BLOCKQUOTE]
However things would turn around for them when they were taken in by Catherine, their lives given some sort of bed rock for them to stand on. It was this small gesture of good faith that probably saved him from becoming a criminal or worse. They lived their life like two semi-normal children from that point, growing up to be decent boys despite their upbringing. Shortly after this, the brothers would come to realize that they were anything but normal, that they had special abilities that set them a part from the rest of the world. Parker had always had a bad temper, almost always getting him into trouble with the authorities, however one day it went a step too far. Playing with a lighter as he smoked a cigaette, a couple of policeman would approach him to ask him to put it out, which was exactly how he discovered his ability.
When they decided to raise their voices, he decided to raise his own, his temper flaring out of control. With it, the flames in the end of his cigarette exploded into life, like a Phoenix's fire, they set the two men a blaze. Luckily however there was a fire extinguisher nearby or else they would have never made it out of that encounter. Terrified by what he had just done, Parker fled the scene, confused by what he had just seen. Though he loved his brother, he feared for Jaxon's saftey, and that was what made him decide to leave and travel the world.
As he travelled Parker sought all sorts of answers, like who his parents really were, what this strange ability was, and how he could control it. He felt that until he could control it or his temper that he was a danger to his own family. He would have died before he ever hurt Jaxon. It took him several years of wandering to figure out that there was an answer out there to controlling his powers, and that answered was learning to focus his anger rather than letting it control and dictate his own actions. An older asian gentleman helped Parker find peace with himself, with his past, or at least enough so that he could occasionally fight back the burning rage he always felt.
When he came however he was a very different person, a bit more calm, though not by much. The moment he came back he tried to jump back into his old life, using the things he learned abroad to help him figure out what he wanted to do. Though for some reason fixing cars, driving, racing seemed to be the one thing that he liked to do the most. He learned that he wanted to live his life free, free of the bonds that held him back in the beginning, and in those few minutes he felt the most free he had ever felt in his entire life. Reuniting with his brother after all that time however was perhaps the amazing part, even though it was clear that much had changed.
CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
As it's just starting I have no real idea how to answer this. But as a whole I plan to be active in the community here, forming plots with both canon and non-canon characters alike to try and make everyone feel like they are a part of the brothers story. As the plot unfolds more, I will have a better answer for this spot.[/BLOCKQUOTE]
