STRENGTHS
[/BLOCKQUOTE]
- Telekinesis: Sam has the unique ability to move objects with his mind. Over the years, he has managed to master this ability to its utmost potential, capable of effortlessly move things ten times his own size with amazing willpower and determination.
- White Pyrokinesis: Unlike his previous ability of pyrokinesis, Sam's ability has evolved from manipulating Hellfire to Holy fire. This fire, while capable of incinerating objects, also has the ability to heal, if used properly. It is also potentially lethal to demons, and any evil being. As such, it allows Sam to be immune to fire.
- Durability: Due to his genetic makeup, Sam is highly resistant to most forms of harm. Although he can be shot, stabbed, fall from great heights and hit with magic, it would take a highly powerful attack to injure him greatly.
- Flight: One of the many abilities that comes with being a Nephilim, is his ability to fly at great speeds.
- Enhanced Strength: Sam is incredibly strong due to his angelic makeup. Capable of lifting a moderately sized car easily, but heavier and larger objects would put strain on his body.
WEAKNESSES
[/BLOCKQUOTE]
- Beheading: Sam can still die if his head is removed from his body.
- Heart Removal: If Sam's heart is removed from his body, then he will die. A trait that he has inherited from his angelic nature.
- Family: Sam will risk his life for the sake of his own family. In his mindset, it is his one, true weakness and can be exploited fairly easy.
- Dark Magic: Dark magic can hold disastrous effects on him, if it is used on him. While he is resilient against most forms of magic, the right black spell can cause great harm to him.
- His past: Sam's past as Samael still haunts him. Although his slate has been wiped clean, and he has been able to forgive himself, he still worries that Samael could still, someday surface once again.
LIKES
[/BLOCKQUOTE]
- Swordsman Training: A hobby that Sam picked up in the past ten years is sword training. He has spent the past ten years collecting swords from all over the world and using them in different ways to fulfill a hobby of his.
- Saving lost souls: Because he was once one himself, Sam has dedicated most of his life to finding people on the verge of becoming dark, and preventing them from taking that path. In many ways, it is fulfilling for him to save a life, as he feels redeemed himself when he does.
- Junk Food: Whether it was from the angelic infusion, or just a personality trait of his own human soul, Sam has a love for junk food, and anything from a fast food restaurant.
- Sparring: No matter who it is, Sam loves to accept challenges from other people, often going up against anyone who will offer him a spar.
- Paramedic work: Sam took a job as a paramedic, in order to further help in saving lives when he could. He takes his job seriously, often rushing into the scene of the incidents to save a person in need.
DISLIKES
[/BLOCKQUOTE]
- Being called Samael: Sam no longer goes by his demonic name, long since declaring that life gone. Every now and then, someone notices him and calls him by his old name. In turn, he finds it incredibly annoying.
- Having to work with evil beings: Although rare, it does happen every one and a while for Sam. He hates having to do things with evil beings, as it bring back bad memories that he wants to forget.
- Losing someone to evil: Sam knows what it is like to be lost in the darkness, and hates when someone gives in to their wickedness. Despite this, he does all he can to save them before their evil destroys them.
- Irritating Moments: Although a good guy now, Sam still gets irritated about certain things. Traffic jams, food taking too long to cook, commercials, etc. He grumbles a great deal when he is placed in these types of situations, to Lana's amusement.
- Arrogance: Sam has a problem with arrogance in general. He hates when his advice goes unnoticed and not followed and often shakes his head slowly when people end up having things backfire on them because they never listened to him.
HISTORY
[/b]In The Beginning...
Samuel Sinclaire was once known as the Half Demon, Samael. Born in the Fifth Sphere of Hell, Anger, he was the by product of the union of a Gifted named Reginald Sinclaire, and the Demoness, Lilith. The union was required for a ritual that Reginald initiated in order to become an incubus, not knowing that Samael's birth would be a by product of it. When Samael was born, his step father, Nergal, ruler of the Fifth Sphere, and all of the demons in Hell, smelled the soul inside of the infant and plunged the child into the deep pits of the Fifth Sphere. For years, the child grew, only to know pain and suffering until the humanity inside of his soul was burned out of him, and his soul was nothing more than an extra thing that he did not need, much like an appendix. Afterwards, Samael grew to hate anyone and everyone that he knew, and would constantly torture and rip apart any soul he could find in the Fifth Sphere, harnessing his raw, demonic power on them. However, it was not until he was twenty years old, that he discovered the truth about his parentage, and why he was so horridly mistreated growing up. He was half human. Out of revenge, Samael murdered his step father, and went to ascend the throne of the Fifth Sphere, before his own mother banished him to Earth, having manipulated him his whole life, so that her son would get rid of Nergal.Hell On Earth...
Samael arrived on Earth with one goal in mind: Find his biological father, and kill him. Upon initiating a ritual in Hell, Samael intended to kill his mother, to ascend to full demon, but after being exiled, he realized that killing Reginald would do just as well. After confronting his father, face to face, he nearly succeeded, effortlessly overpowering Reginald, but before he could kill him, his father managed to escape. In the meantime, countless innocent people were murdered for crossing Samael's path, causing Heaven to send their most powerful Angel, the Seraphim, Michael, to Earth to prevent Samael from becoming a full blooded demon, and disrupting the Natural Order, which would bring the Universe back into the chaos that existed before God said, “Let there be light.” However, it was not until later, when Samael's half-sister, Mari Sinclaire, and a fairy, Lana Evans, discovered that they had the ability to heal Samael's human soul from the torment that it endured in Hell, that it was made possible, that Samael's death may not be a priority.Beast With A Human Heart, and Black Hearted Warlocks...
Eventually, a powerful Warlock, named Corvin Blake, met Samael face-to-face, and offered the demonic murderer a chance to become Full Demon. Offering his assistance, Corvin promised Samael an army, and the chance to rid himself of his human soul, and be granted his full demonic heritage. Corvin began to manipulate all of those around Samael, beginning with his half-sister, Mari. After recruiting the demon inside of a girl named Ash, he appealed to the darkness inside both her, and Samael, who by this time, had most of his soul healed by Mari and Lana, who was later revealed to be Samael's soul mate. Wanting to abandon his current quest, Samael was prepared to say goodbye to Corvin forever, before the warlock further manipulated events around Samael, to appeal to the inner demon inside of him, and after killing yet another innocent person, with the demon Ash's help, Samael's darker intentions were reborn again.
Falling Back Into The Dark...
[/size][/b]After discovering that Samael was returning back to his demonic roots, Lana soon left him to travel to New York, devastating Samael in the process. Soon after, Mari denounced him as her family, despite not being able to remove him from his half of the mansion. Lost, and hurt by this, Samael vowed once again that he would become a full demon, no matter what the cost, and rejoined Corvin fully in his bid for ultimate power. Not long after, Corvin discovered a demon-summoning ritual, that could bring Lilith out of Hell, and onto Earth, which could bind her to the summoner. As Samael sought out the materials that he needed to initiate this ritual, he was being constantly watched by the Seraphim, Michael, who was made aware of Samael's return to evil. However, he was soon cut off from his ability to watch over Samael, through a spell brought along by Corvin, and was too late to stop the ritual from initiating. Along with Mari, Logan, Chase, Lana, and Jyo, they attempted to confront Samael and stop the ritual from happening, but with Samael's own group preventing others from reaching him in time, the ritual was a success, and Lilith was summoned from Hell, and bound directly to her son, Samael. Plunging a knife into her heart, the ritual was complete...
All Hell Breaks Loose...
[/size][/b]After killing Lilith, Samael's soul was obliterated by the fires of ascension that made him into a full blooded Vengeance Demon. However, it was exactly what Michael feared. When Samael became a full demon, his powers were magnified beyond what they normally were. The Seraphim fought the demon in hand to hand combat, only to be soundly defeated by the superior powered Samael, underestimating the angel's predictions of just how powerful he would have become. Afterwards, rather than destroy everyone present, he returned to the Fifth Sphere, and proclaimed himself the new ruler of not just that circle, but all of Hell, itself.
As a full demon, he was by far a different evil than he previously was. Displaying an increasingly unstable mindset, he killed off nearly anyone, follower, or foe. And soon began to rally the demonic forces, to begin what he considered the “true” Armageddon of Earth, and to finish the job that Lucifer, himself started: A war that would reach Heaven, itself. But while this was happening, the world itself seemed to be growing increasingly hostile due to the events that transpired to make Samael a full demon. As Michael's revelation claimed: The Natural Order began to tear itself apart, as the denizens of Earth began to fight with one another, and paranoia began to increase. Almost everyone seemed affected, save for the ones that were present when Samael became a full demon. Not long after, Corvin came to Michael, Mari, Lana, and even the Brothers Trinity, and proclaimed himself a double agent for them, not guessing that so much chaos would come from Samael's ascension. To prove his loyalty, he explained that Samael's soul was not destroyed, but rather fragmented into pieces, and scattered throughout the mansion. One such piece had gone into Lana, herself as she was Samael's soul mate, making her capable of housing a part of their shared soul. When all of the pieces were obtained, and Michael was fully healed, they made preparations to lay siege into Hell, with Michael leading the way.
Soon after, Michael, and all of those that stood against Samael began to wage a combat against him, while Corvin began a ritual to restore all of the pieces of Samael's soul and re-infuse them into the demon, potentially weakening him. After the ritual was complete, Michael reinstated his soul, and gained the advantage, defeating Samael once and for all. However, at the behest of Mari and Lana, rather than smite Samael, he purged him of his demonic heritage, and took with him, Samael's memories, placing them into an amulet. But after Samael was purged, he was nowhere to be seen, and was declared missing.
Meanwhile, Corvin watched on as they returned, with a smirk on his face, declaring Michael his, “Faithful, little puppet...”
A New Beginning...
[/size][/b]A few weeks after Samael had been defeated, and the Natural Order restored, Samael's body appeared in an alley in Los Angeles, on a dark and stormy night. Delirious and confused, he wandered the streets of Los Angeles, naked, before being discovered by Mari. At first, hesitant to take Samael in, she later relented when she discovered that he had no memory of who he was, or the things he had did, and that he was confused and scared and had no idea as to where he was or even who he was.
Over the course of a few days, Mari situated the amnesiac Samael in the mansion, explaining that she was his sister, and that his name was Samuel. Michael later arrived, and explained that Sam was brought back to Earth after he was purged by God, but Michael, himself had no idea when, or where he would show up. Michael later went on to explain that Sam has been given a new beginning, free of his demonic past, and while he still had his former powers, they were locked away in his mind, where he was unable to remember how to use them. But with his memories gone, Sam was shown to be a kind, and gentle person, and quite the opposite of his former self. While the former Samael was twisted, ruthless and completely evil, Samuel is compassionate, generous and all around helpful with the things Mari needs around the house.
However, when Corvin discovers that Sam has returned, he spellbinds Sam to a chair whilst Mari is away from them, and enchants the nearby television to force Sam to remember his life as Samael, by showing him portions of his life, when he tortured, killed and apathetically murdered people, who were simply begging for their lives. He even showed him how sadistic he was to his own sister, and all the threats that he had made to Lana, and how he harmed her. Sam was horrified to view the appalling things that he had committed, begging Corvin to stop showing him these things, but to no avail. In the end, it became too much for Sam to bear, that his stress caused him to blast Corvin back with a wave of telekinesis, before Mari returned to see what was going on, and making the mansion ban Corvin from the property, preventing him any form of entry.
After seeing the things that he saw, and horrified of becoming that person again, Sam tried to hang himself in repentance for his sins, but is saved from choking to death by Mari, who manages to cut the rope. Sam is too distraught from the ordeal of seeing the person that he was, that he sinks into a deep depression, declaring that he does not want to remember his past, afraid that he'll become the murderer that he once was.
Meanwhile, Corvin makes a pact with Lucifer, stating that he will kill Samael, in exchange for the power to surpass him. Lucifer obliges Corvin, but in order for him to gain that powers of Samael, he has to make Sam kill him first, or else Corvin will be cursed forever. Corvin manages to bypass the spells of the mansion, and traps Sam in a room with him, while everyone else was forced to watch on as Corvin mercilessly thrashed Sam. In a desperate attempt, Michael crushes the pendant containing Sam's memories as Samael. Suddenly, the tables were turned, as Sam effortlessly threw Corvin off of him, and looks on with murder in his eyes. Effortlessly defeating Corvin, Sam prepares to kill him, with Corvin coaxing him on, saying, “You're a murderer, just like me, Samael.”
Sam stops where he is, and looks at Corvin momentarily, and replies, “No. I will not murder you. Samael is dead, and my name is Sam.” After leaving the room, Corvin screams in agony as his soul is burned by the fires of Hell, and is dragged into the pit.
Through this fight, Sam finally finds the way to forgive himself of the past, and lets go fully of his past-life ambitions, to which Michael smiles, knowing that it was to always end this way. He then presents Sam with a gift, and infuses him with his angelic essence, making Sam a Nephilim.
Ten years later, Sam is now married to Lana, who now lives with him and Mari, along with Riley, Xzavier's daughter. Since then, Sam has been helping Lana and Mari with Riley, in training her to become an efficient fighter for the next wave of evil that comes her way, and keeping her from falling into the same path that he, himself nearly did. He also makes sure to check her homework too from time to time.

CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
This Sam has vastly matured from the one on BT. He is now more kind hearted, and caring. He uses his past mistakes as a bookmark to keep others from going down the same path as he, and has become a father-figure of sorts for Riley. Although he juggles his civilian life with his personal life, he is constantly finding ways to make time for Lana and his family.[/BLOCKQUOTE]
