"Its okay. Cruise is in a better place now." She said softly as she looked at him and relaxed a little bit. Her eyes showing that the sadness was still there but his words eased it some.
"I don't know. When I get scared I get cold so its hard to say." she admitted as she looked back at him and smiled softly, "Looks like you found it." she said softly as she noticed the jar and then watched him move off to get something to put them in. She waited quietly, looking about the room to get a feel for the the being that stayed here. There was a lot she didn't know about Trenton and she wasn't sure how to ask.
She took the glass and smiled at him, deciding the best thing to do would be to drink it down as quickly as she could. Grimacing at the taste she passed the glass back to him, "That stuff tastes nasty, Trent." she stated as she wrinkled her nose and burrowed under the covers some more. The magic seemed to work however, though not as intended. She looked over at him and suddenly it was like she was in his head. Gripping the sheets she locked eyes with him in surprise. 'Trent, what's going on?' she mentally asked him as she found herself seeing his memories as if watching a film.
She could smell the peat in the air as she watched crowds of people milling about and coming into the home she was standing in. Glancing down at herself she realized she was dressed for an early 18th century ball and the accents going around her were Irish. Glancing at a paper she saw that the date was 1741 and she was in Galway. Moving about quietly as the memory unfolded she saw Trent dancing with a girl. He was evidently trying to charm her because she laughed at what he said. His outfit showed he was well to do and evidently paid attention to his looks if she could judge such things.
Then the image jumped and she saw a girl running for her life, she had her skirts hiked up to run faster and she was looking behind her. So worried at what was chasing her that she completely missed Trent in front of her until he grabbed her and dragged her off to the dark.
Turning away Mari glanced over at a sign that said Whitechapel. A bit of newspaper stuck to it had the date 1888 on it. The sound of animal noises came from the dark and she backed up before there was silence. Within five minutes there were police all over the scene swarming the area.
Jerking herself out of his mind she blinked her eyes and looked at him, "Are you okay, Trent?" she asked him softly.

Trenton watched as Marina took the drink and gulped it, grimacing. When she told him that it was nasty, he shrugged apologetically. "Sorry Bella. I guess your beverage did not hide the taste very well," he told her. Then---and how he wasn't sure how it happened---Marina was in his mind and watching his memories.
The first memory was when he was apparently human. He was talking to a girl who laughed at something he said. Trenton frowned at the scene. He did not remember any of this, though the girl looked vaguely familiar. But how did he know her?
Before he could say anything, the scene shifted. Now he was in London, chasing a girl. He watched as the girl ran, reliving the rush he had felt as he had guided her down the road without her knowledge. But it did not make sense. Why was he thinking of this now? This was not something he wanted Marina to know about him. He then appeared in front of her and dragged her off, coming back later to watch the police wonder at his handiwork.
A few moments later, the memory faded and Marina asked him if he was okay. "I should be asking you that. You just saw me at my absolute worst," he responded. But how had she seen it? And what had the first memory been? He did not recognize it. And that worried him...a feeling that he did not like one little bit....

"Its not your fault." she said sincerely. "It is what it is." she said gently as she looked up at him and their minds connected gently. She laid back against the headboard as the room began to spin for her.
"I'm as okay as I can be I guess." she said honestly, her mind trying to absorb everything she had seen. She was shaken and confused, "I never expected to be dating Jack the Ripper. What makes me different than those women? she asked him softly as she tried to understand something that might have no explanation she exhaled softly, "I've written papers on what you did for heavens sake." she shook inwardly and swallowed a bit as she rubbed her temples and tried to think clearly, "Books have been written about you for the last 120 years." she didn't mean to babble but it was hard not to and it kept her from questioning him too much like some sick fan. It was a bit like being witness to an auto accident. You had to force yourself to look away.

Trenton shook his head when Marina just said what had happened was "Is what is is." How could she be so calm about it? How could she accept it? She should be running from him in terror. He did not know why her lack of terror when she found out about some horrible thing he had done continued to surprise him, but it did. At her question of what made her different, he shrugged. "I honestly do not know, Bella. I just---I was different back then---a true monster," he replied. Actually, "monster" was an understatement. He had caused a lot of carnage and fear in London during that time, something that even today gave him a small amount of pride.
He watched as she rubbed her head, saying that she had done reports on him and books had been written about him for over a hundred years. "Yes, I know.," he responded sheepishly. He wasn't about to admit that a part of him had actually loved the fact that there were so many books on his time in London, though most of them had many of the facts wrong. In fact, only a couple of authors had managed to find out key details of what he had actually done, though he still couldn't figure out if a vampire had told them or if they had had an ancestor during that time.
Trenton mentally shook himself, driving away the thoughts. That was not important. What was important was that somehow Marina had been given access to his memories. But what had caused the herbs to have that result?

Mari heard his words and sighed, "And I grew up with monsters. I just...I don't know maybe its the angel part of me that thinks that people will be judged when the time comes. Good people go one way, bad another and the folks in the middle...have to think about what they really want for a while. The fact that you caused them pain is disturbing. The deaths are disturbing but they are in a better place now so how could I be sad about that?" she said gently, "Now I do want you to tell me if you ever feel that angry at me or anyone I know so I can get them the heck out of your way." she says softly as she looked into his eyes. "You are a vampire. Its something that is going to cause you to want to kill humans. Its part of your nature but you've also helped when it came to the really big issues so how could I not see that as well?" she said softly as she relaxed, she touched his cheek gently, "We aren't fixed in time, never changing you know. We grow, we just grow slower than humans because our lifespans are longer."
"This is just one of those things that everyone has in their past when they are immortal. I'll try not to be too nosy about it. I mean you've put up with my flaws and crushes on other guys." she reminded him gently, "Lots of guys would have dumped me over that but you stuck with me for some weird reason."

Trenton nodded when Marina stated that she had grown up with monsters and maybe it was the angel side of her that felt that they would be judged when the time was right. That made sense, though he was surprised that the angel part of her did not want to strike him down, especially since that she said that the deaths were disturbing.
At her comment of wanting to be warned if he was ever that mad at her, Trenton shook his head. "That would never happen. I would stake myself or have Diana stake me before I would willingly hurt you," he responded. Then, he smiled as she leaned into him, placing her hand on his cheek even as she reminded him of the good he had done. He would never admit it to anyone, but he liked it when Marina was able to see the good in him despite all the bad that he did.
He then nodded in thanks when she said that she wouldn't pry as she had put up with stuff from her as well. and that a lot of guys would have dumped her by now. "Well, as you know, I am not most men," he responded. A fact that he was somewhat proud of. He was after all, a king.

Looking at him and picking up on his thoughts she shook her head, "I'm not a warrior angel, Trent. There would be zero chance of me being quick enough to get the drop on you. My specialties are in healing the mind. I can use a bow and arrow but that is for ranged combat not close combat. I haven't been trained in fighting like you have and if nothing else I'm smart enough never to start a fight I can't finish." "I've seen angels go bad, Trent. I don't see why its not possible for a vampire to be good." she said with a slight shrug as she tried to relax next to him, "Maybe its naive of me but I don't remember most of my time as an angel so its hard for me to know all the laws." she admitted as she thought hard to try and recall things and failed, "I can only recall things after I sleep and then only a little bit at a time.
"Indeed you are not. You are the King of Los Angeles. A title that is quite hard to achieve." she admitted softly to him as she looked up at him. "You could do anything you wanted in the vampire community. Most people would see it as a reason to be more picky but you see it differently." she looked him in the eyes and her forehead touched his own, "This is a lot to absorb, Trenton. It may take me a few days to sort through things. she twined her fingers with his and smiled softly, "If I'm a bit distant or I sleep more than normal don't worry; I'm just trying to get used to seeing another person's memories." she kissed him lightly, wanting him to know she wasn't going to be screaming at him for this.

Trenton shook his head when Marina said that she was not a warrior and would not be able to get the drop on him. How quick she still was to underestimate herself. Sometimes one did not need training to be an effective fighter, though he could see her point about not starting a fight that you could not finish. "Fair enough on not starting fights one cannot finish," he told her. "But you underestimate yourself. You can be a warrior in your own way," he told her. And it was true. A healed mind could go a long way in a battle. But he was not sure how to explain that exactly.
Then Marina told him that she had seen angels go bad and that maybe it was naive of her but she was not sure since of the laws since she did not remember her time as an angel and that it was only coming to her in snippets as she slept. "I am sure it will all come back to you in time," Trenton said.
When she reminded him that his status was hard to come by, he nodded. He had worked hard to get to the top. And he was not picky per se, just cautious. He was trying to do right by all of the creatures in the city, not just vampires.
She leaned forward, touhing his forehead with hers and said that it was a lot to absorb and that she would need a few days to sort everything out. "I do not blame you in the least. It des sound like a lot," he commented and nodded in understanding that she may be sleeping more than normal which just meant that she was trying to get used to see another person's memory. "Of course, Bella. That makes perfect sense," he told her. It could not be easy to be remembering something else or someone else's memory. Then, he leaned in closer, granting her better access as she kissed him. He moaned with longing and then went to intertwine his fingers in her hair.

She smiled softly, "I will take your word for it. I do not feel like a fighter. Not in the traditional sense anyway. You were born to it. I...well every time I think I know what I was born for something surprises me so I've decided to hold off on labeling myself." she chuckled as she looked at him.
"I suppose you are right. I just don't want to forget this time in all the hurry everyone has to try and remind me of my past. It does little good to remember where you have been if you don't know where you are going." She felt a bit woozie, but with Trent there it wasn't as scary as it might be if she was alone. Truthfully with Sam and Lana having each other and half the team gone she felt like she stuck out like a sore thumb. Karen helped cheer her up but she understood why the other woman shoved talk of her family aside. When you felt like you didn't fit in it was hard.
"Well you've lead an interesting life. Its a wonder the memories fit in your own head let alone part of mine. I can't imagine the things you have seen." Ironic given how old she really was, but she didn't FEEL old. Besides, there was something to be said for a fresh prospective. She saw a new world with old eyes and wondered where it was all going. Unlike Michael she didn't have the direct connect to know what the right path was. She muddled along but with a good heart.
The feel of his lips on hers relaxed her as she scooted over so he could get comfortable on the bed and not have to lean over it in an ackward position on the side of it. She scooted and pressed against them as they got closer. Her mind opening to his as the kiss deepened. Her eyes closing as his hands twined gently in her hair and he pulled her close. Her nightgown slid off one shoulder but she barely noticed. She felt safe with him and that was rare indeed for her. She pressed against him tighter and let her feelings pour out of her, even as she laid there with him.

Trenton could only shake his head as Marina told him that she didn't feel like a fighter in the traditional sense and that he had been born to it and that everything always changed on her. "You fight to heal souls, Bella. There is nothing more important than that," he told. "As for me, how do I know I was born to fight? I do not even remember my human life or how I even became a vampire. For all I know, I could have been changed an hour after that human memory that we both saw," he continued. And that was something that bothered him. He had no idea what the human memory meant and he wished he did.
He then smiled when she stated that she didn't want to forget and that it didn't do any good to remember the past when one didn't know where they were going. "That is true," he agreed. Seeing that she was feeling a bit out of sorts, Trenton stepped closer so that he could catch her if need be. Then he let out a bit of a laugh as she commented that he had had an interesting life. "As far as my vampiric life goes, I suppose you could say that," he agreed and then gave a small sheepish shrug as she went on to say that she couldn't imagine seeing the things he had. "Some of them you probably would not want to," he admitted. Especially since most of it was chaos that he himself had caused.
Trenton switched over to a more comfortable position as he and Marina kissed and he could feel the woman opening herself up to him and he grinned as he poured the love he had for her towards her so that she could feel it. He wanted her to feel perfectly safe with him. Bella, is this all right with you? he asked as he went to place his hands on her shoulders.

"You know for a vampire you are sounding more and more good every day, Trent." she murmured softly to him as they sat and spoke of what they had both seen, "All my life Physical strength was valued more than brains." she exhaled and looked at him ruefully, "Its nice to know that you don't feel the same." she admitted as she pushed her glasses up on her nose. "We'll find out about your origins. Don't worry, Trent." she tried to sooth him.
"All of us have things we are not proud of, Trent. No one is without the skeletons in their closets." she pointed out as she felt his unease, "I just try to understand that about the people I talk to to see if they need anything that I can help with and make their lives easier."
Feeling his hands on her shoulders as they kissed she nodded, "I don't mind kissing you." she chuckled as their lips pressed together and she felt his emotions for her. Her own there for him to read even if she did not realize it. She pressed against him gently as they enjoyed the moment and she let all of her 101 worries go little by little.

Trenton rolled his eyes in amusement when Marina told him that he was sounding more and more good everyday. "Well, that is something that should be kept between us," he said somewhat teasingly. After all, if word got out that he wasn't as heartless or ruthless as he once was, his stance as Vampire King could be threatened. And that was something that could never happen. Diana would need someone she could trust at her back, not just some random vampire. Besides that, it could place Marina in danger. Marina then went to say that growing up brawn had been emphasized over brains and she was glad that he didn't feel the same way. "Of course not. Even when I was killing, I was always stratagizing. Gotta have an exit strategy after all," he commented and then smiled at the assurance that they would figure out his origins. "I hope so, Bella. I am a bit tired of not knowing exactly who I am," he admitted. I cannot believe I just admitted that, he thought to himself. After all, he had not even told Diana about his feelings. But then again, Marina had often had that effect on him. He could tell her things that he would not even dream about telling anyone else.
He then nodded in agreement when she told him that they all had things that they weren't proud of. "Some of us more than others," he confessed. After all, he had been Jack the Ripper.---a fiend, a terror---true, a part of him still relished that, but another part of him hated that Marina knew that about him. He then turned his focus back on Marina as she explained that she just tried to understand people and tried to help them if she could. "That is very noble, Bella," he told her.
Once he was certain that Marina was okay with him taking things further than normal, Trenton continued to kiss her. As he did so, he could feel her emotions pouring into him as she pressed against him. Trenton responded in turn and felt his world slipping away as he got lost in Marina's scent.

"I won't say anything." she promised. She knew better than to say such things out loud. She didn't survive growing up the way she had by telling secrets. She blushed as he continued to compliment her and then she tilted her head when he commented about not knowing who he was, "We'll figure it out as best we can. Try not to worry about it, remember that it is in the past and what matters is who you are now." she said gently to him as she tried not to dwell on his more violent past. She knew it existed and that it still did. But she also knew the past was something you could not change.
"I'm not as noble as you think. I have my fair share of bad thoughts. I just don't act on them. Its ironic, I know HOW to be evil. I know exactly how I would do something if I was truly evil I just choose not to. Its hard to explain really. Its not a double think per sec just knowing the options. I can visualize the outcomes if that makes any sense." she shrugged and then smiled as he seemed to relax
Mari relaxed as they continued to open up to each other mentally. She lost track of time as she focused on him and spending time together. Her focus on the real world dimmed as she closed her eyes and relaxed.

He had been mentally watching them from a distance for quite some time. The wind blew his black hair away from his face and he smiled. The King of the city and his...pet...? Were completely oblivious to him. He had tried to contact the girl and she had retreated mentally frightened of him. Well it meant she was loyal to the King at least. He'd have to see if he could sway their thinking a bit. With a feline stretch he watched as his pets stood by his side. As one, he and his girls misted into the room very carefully.
He coughed politely just as the girl started and backed up against the head board. He raised an eyebrow and glanced at Trenton a bit apologetically, "My apologies, your Majesty. I did not mean to intrude at an inopportune moment. My name is King Vasile Dracul of Romania and these are my..." his eyes flicked to the slinky blonde and redhead as they stood on either side of him, his eyes flicked to Marina a moment and he bowed, "My companions." he finished. Mari's level of dishevelment meant he was uncertain exactly what she was to Trenton and he opted to go the safe route.
"If you would permit me. I have an offer for you. A gesture of good faith between our covens." he said with another courtly bow as he noticed his girls inching toward the couple, "This is Seryna." he said as he gestured to the syph like red head who was sniffing the air lightly, "And this is Anastasya." he said as he gestured to the slightly curvier blond who smiled a very hungry smile at the pair.
<< She smells delicious. Like candy.>> the redhead purred at Vasile in Romanian as she eyed Marina and licked her lips, <<Do you think he will let us have a bite? We did travel a long way...>> she said with a hopeful look to both males in the room.
Marina narrowed her eyes to slits and shook her head ever so slightly, but what to it was hard to say. She simply curled up in the covers and seemed to burrow under them more as she set about adjusting her nightgown ever so slightly. Her cheeks were scarlet as she eyed the trio.
<< Do you think she knows what we are saying?>> The blonde whispered in Vasile's ear and he gave her a warning look. She cringed back and moved to slightly behind him.
"English girls. Don't be rude." he said sharply before looking apologetically at Trent once more and bowing, averting his gaze from Mari to give her some semblance of privacy.

Trenton moaned as he felt himself getting more and more aroused as he and Marina continued their actions. He knew he was getting more and more bold with her, but he couldn't help it. Every touch was like electricity. He wanted her more and more. He didn't want anyone else treating her like this. He wanted her all to himself. Bella, would you--- His thought abruptly cut off as he became aware of a mist enveloping the room. Marina, we have company, he told her seriously and then pulled away from the girl and standing up, making sure he was in front of Marina.
Trenton growled softly as he saw a man with two females stood before them. The man apologized for their intrusion, introducing himself as King Vasile Dracul of Romania. Lovely. I have to play nice politics when I would rather be with Marina, he thought to himself. "A pleasure," Trenton said nodding in acknowledgment.
At the mention of a good faith gesture between covens, Trenton lifted an eyebrow. "What did you have in mind?" he wondered. Not that he'd answer either way. He would have to speak to Diana first. Plus there was the treaty to consider. Then he nodded to the girls who were introduced as Seryna and Anastasya. "Charmed," he said shortly. He wasn't sure what to make of this. He had another Vampire King in his room and he had brought his vampire lovers. Wonderful.
Then Seryna commented that Marina smelled like candy and wondered if they would be able to have a bite since they had traveled a long way and he was aware of Marina burrowing under the covers trying to straighten herself up. "She has my mark," Trenton responded in Romanian when the girls looked at him and Vasile. "And yes, she knows what you are saying," he told them still in Romanian and the other Vampire King scolded them, telling them to speak in English and not be rude, throwing an apologetic look at Trenton. Do not worry, Bella. I will not let them harm you, he assured as he backed up until he was in front of Marina and then threw a wave of protectiveness over her, letting her know that he had her back.
